Comfortable but delayed

There were both good and bad things. First of all, the bus was really comfortable, spacious and clean. Likewise, driving was fine and the driver was nice. That being said, our pick-up spot and time was changed the night before, which was inconvenient, but not a big issue. The biggest issue definitely was that the bus ended up being 2,5 hours delayed from the original arrival time in Kuala Lumpur.

Really poor experience from start to…

Really poor experience from start to finish. We were told to go to a booking office instead of the actual bus station and were given almost no guidance — just pointed toward a minivan and told to get in. There was no explanation that this was only a shuttle, not the main bus.The driver didn’t greet passengers, provide any information, or help with luggage. The shuttle took us to a bus depot instead of directly to KL, which was very confusing. At the depot there was no clear system. The screens showed departed buses only, and our ticket didn’t list a bus number. We had booked an 8:30 service with Billion Star but were placed on a 9:30 bus marked “Alibaba” instead, with no updates in the app or on the display boards. There was only one staff member trying to manage confused passengers, and he regularly disappeared for cigarette breaks, leaving everyone stranded without information.Boarding was just as disorganised — no confirmation we were on the correct bus, no help with luggage, and no basic customer service. To make things worse, someone accompanying the driver smoked in the bus toilet, leaving the whole bus smelling of smoke. The only positive was that the bus itself was comfortable. Otherwise, I strongly recommend avoiding this company.

WORST BUS EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD

WORST BUS EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD. We booked a trip from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur for 11:00 a.m., but at 11 p.m. the night before, the company changed it to 10:00 a.m. - far too late for proper planning. My ticket was never updated, and we had to rush to catch the bus.During a short stop, we asked the driver if we could use the bathroom - he said yes - but then DROVE OFF WITHOUT US, only returning because another passenger intervened!Because of the departure time change, we were moved to another bus and our reserved seats were not honored, leaving us in the worst seats. Unsafe, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. AVOID THIS COMPANY!

Unsafe, unreliable, and unaccountable, avoid at all costs!!

Please read their thousands of 1 star reviews on Google maps!!!Took only 1 traumatic trip from Bandar Utama to Singapore with Billion Stars 2years ago and it was an absolute nightmare....and trust me they are still in operation and have not improved. They must be brining someone to keep their company going!! My experience was 3 bus breakdowns, filthy interiors, unexplained delays, and finally being abandoned by the driver before reaching the destination. Drivers were unprofessional — smoking on the bus, not helping elderly passengers, and unable to communicate properly. The company hasn’t responded to complaints and based on countless similar reviews, it’s clear this is a pattern. I deeply regret choosing them over reputable operators like First Coach or Aeroline.⚠️ I urge others to report this company to:Ministry of Transport MalaysiaPMBOA & SGBMEEBA SingaporeMinistry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (Malaysia)Also contact Easybook to get them removed from the platform.Email Anthony loke and tell him to investigate! This company should not be operating. It’s not just bad service - it’s dangerous.

Avoid Billion Stars Express

Avoid Billion Stars Express if you value your time or safety. My experience was very poor. The bus from Butterworth to Melaka was scheduled for 10:30 AM but hadn’t even left Penang by that time. We were finally picked up over an hour late. The bus itself was old and uncomfortable, nothing like the photos shown during booking. Throughout the journey, the driver took unnecessarily long breaks, drove recklessly at excessive speeds, and showed zero concern for passenger safety or comfort. To make things worse, we weren’t even dropped off at the bus station in Melaka but on the side of the road in the middle of a reservation. No apology, no explanation—just an abysmal service from start to finish. We got to Melaka 5 hours late. If you’re considering Billion Stars Express, do yourself a favor and find another provider.

Avoid

I wish we had read a review previously to purchase. We went from Penang to KL with this company. Worst bus ride ever. Long story short:-rude staff-they make us change bus 3 times before departure with no explanation other than literally the words "change bus" and "you wait"-complete lack of information, so many travelers literally being ignored and not informed of what's going on, plus no manners at all-departure 2h30min later than expected. Buses leaving towards same destination (KL) half full though. Impossible to understand but no matter how many times you ask, the answer you get is "wait".-finally we jump on the bus. Some employees are making jokes about how people were complaining. Not really funny, but ok you let it slip since you're finally on your way... Only problem is the bus is going at like 40-50kph for some reason. Then stop in the middle of the road. Engine was not working properly. Of course no information to the passengers whatsoever. Fortunately one of the passengers spoke both Malay and English properly and was very kind to be the translator. Explained that the driver said the bus is broken (I really don't think they do proper maintenance). Still he was doing to try the ride. Fortunately he dropped some of us half way in a town where we managed to pick a proper ride.-claimed refund online on the email stated on the ticket. NO ANSWER of courseMake your own conclusions.

Dishonest

Always got delayed. For once that I'm supposed to be back to Singapore and somehow the bus only dropped all passengers to Johor custom, saying that there will be another bus picking us up to enter to Singapore. We waited and asked the bus driver but he said he doesn't stop at Golden Miles, which is the destination I have selected for my ticket. I feel so cheated.
