Bark is totally misleading. It says "freelancers" but in fact if you are looking for a freelance developer its 100% agencies. AS soon as you post you get 100 calls a day non stop by agencies.There's no contact, support links nothing. There's no way to delete your account so they have your info and sell it to others. BEWARE!!!! Its misleading website

I use to pick extra work up the last year they doubled in price for credits and always dead ends they don’t filter out the time wasters so just wasting your money terrible company

I did manage to secure a cleaner that is very good. And the communication myself and the cleaner quick and the visit to my parents house was very quick.
To summarise, barks a company that charges trades £10+ to quote for a job, with no return on that investment unless the customer chooses you. If you use this service, you'll pay more than reaching out to a trade directly (they've got to recoup those wasted £10’s somehow). They also have fake customers who trades also pay to talk to, but bark wasn't interested in dealing with those since they get paid regardless. I received an email saying they needed electricians in my area. I thought I'd give it a shot since they gave you 1 free contact. It turned out to be a scam, someone was selling THEIR services to me, if it wasn't a free trial I'd have paid at least £10 for the privilege. It basically turned out to be someone using an AI to charm trades into working for social housing via the government portal (you can do this for free yourself). His punt was that he would charge consultation fees for submitting the application for you, and helping you get the necessary accreditations the council needed. Reported to bark who weren't interested because I wasn't a paying customer. I suspect they'd be equally as interested if I'd paid £10 to hear someone else's advertisment.

He agreed to fix the roof leak for £1200. The first day he done small portion of the Roof leak and requested £600 and second day he promised he would be finishing rest of the works. In the afternoon he said he wanted to go to hospital immediately to see his wife and requested the £600 balance and he would be get back and fix the roof leak. But he never return and not answering my phone calls for the last three weeks. Basically, he is a cheater. Don't trust him at all.
Arrived on time. Gave sensible advice and reasonable quote. Cleaned up well.

Just started spamming my professional email address without being subscribed. Clearly, scraping email addresses from the Internet or buying them. Even though they’ve been warned not to email me, and I’ve clicked unsubscribe, I’m still getting an inbox full of trash. The fact that they keep recommending Counselling clients while I’m a Coach is highly inappropriate. Do better.

First time using this service. The quick responses was great. The companies that came and quoted were great. I would definitely use this service again.. unfortunately I didn't use any of the quotes as they were a bit above my budget .
