My account is locked I verify…

My account is locked I verify everything IDs everything and wait on hold for a total of 6 hours still can't get this resolved. I think Bankmobile took my money and I am going to be reaching out to FDIC to file a real complaint

Do not use this bank

Do not use this bank. The university of West Florida uses them and they're horrible!! Not even American!!! I have been waiting for my refund since November! I'm going to get a lawyer on them This is beyond unacceptable!

Great app. Customer service needs help

I love bank mobile and they’ve been good to me but I’m currently on hold and have been for close to 30 minutes now waiting to speak to a representative. I have questions about my refund that I need to pay for books.help!!!!UPDATE 3:15pm ET 2/27/2026I spoke with an agent after waiting for 45 minutes and she was very rude and disengaged like she did not care. I did not get much out of it as she spoke very fast and then just sent me to an automated line about refunds that I’ve heard before. I’m very disappointed in the customer service as I also never got my questions answered.

I was locked out my accout

I was locked out my account the moment I tried to change my bank preference because my savings account no longer exists so I wanted to deposit refunds in my checking, despite calling and sending identity confirmation I'm still locked out and waiting on over 2000 dollars which is a lot of money to just not be able to access. I would say the staff are friendly but they're a little hard to understand at times and the wait time is actually atrocious along with the fact they've still not resolved such a simple issue

Bankmobile issue

They basically trying to hold my money I’ve been contacting them for a while two months now about my account my funds been was successfully transferred by my school they then restricted my account without reason then ask to identify my identify which I did and been trying to change my preferences but they not longer pick up the phone I’ve called many times and when they did today I got hang up on then transferred and been on the line for hours , the customer service representative was no help was not listening to be or allowing me to ask my own questions it’s ridiculous it’s like they trying to hold or steal my money not sure why this is happening because I’ve never had this issue until now sent out multiple emails within the past two months and yes I will definitely become a bigger problem for them if this contuines without any resolution .

From last complaint Mike from Bank…

From last complaint Mike from Bank Mobile Vibe responded that they contacted me but they did not. Last year I got a canned response that I responded to but never got a response back from them at all. I tried numerous times with no avail. They have my phone, my email and my mailing address. So there is not reason that they could not respond. The whole matter is regards to my brother. He former POA stole money from his account directly. Money was moved from my brother account into her account and her son's account. It was done several times and the total was about $15,000.00 Then BMTX closed the account due to suspicious activity. Which was appropriate. The remainder of the funds that he had were mailed to her in the form of a check for almost $10,000.00! That was March 2024. It was cashed July 27th 2024 at a Bank of America either by her or her son. My brother's name was on the check. So obviously the endorsement was forged. I was able to get the bank records from a detective who was working on an ID theft issue regarding his pension fund. ( that is a whole other big nightmare). We thought that the former POA was helping track down the thefts. But she proved to be incompetent. Her incompetence was because she was plucking money from the Bank Mobible Vibe account that the ID thieves never accessed. So moving on we dismissed her as POA still assuming she was useless and her answers did not add up. So I stepped in as POA and starting digging and with the aide of the detective got down to the truth. When I got solid proof and tried to confront her she died of cancer. I talked to her son and he denied everything and became abusive. So back to the bank. For months I tried to get answers from the bank and they refused to acknowledge my legal POA status. I sent them letters and my brother sent avidavids. So because of their constant delays to me I was not able to confront the former POA before it was too late. Even after her death they refused to talk to me about the missing stolen check. I don't think they will ever refund the money taken directly from his account. But the very least they should cover the amount for the illegally cashed check on July 27,2024 at a Bank of America I wanted to find out what town it was cash in thinking that would help me narrow down if it was her son or her that cashed it. Her son is an ex convict and very clever at lying. If I could find out what branch it was cashed at I could possibly have the son put right back in prison. Bank Mobile Vibe came up with many excuses not to help me and at one point they said they do not have to do anything. I don't understand how that can be. How can a third party cash a check that is made out to someone else with out ID? The endorsement was obviously forged . It should have been blocked. The former POA did the same thing with Netspend as well but they kind of cooperated with me and I have a copy of the cancel check with a forged endorsement. So that will be on another complaint. In the meantime, do not trust Bank Mobile Vibe with your money. It is not secure and they don't care. It is run by a bunch of people who do not know what they are doing and are rude. If you express frustration the customer service people will hang up the phone .

Terrible.

My college issues their financial aid refunds through Bankmobile. I would do anything to change that. Like many people I know who go to the same college, I use chime as my primary bank account. No matter what I do, I cannot have the refund sent to my account. Other people I know have this issue, and some do not, it seems random. I emailed them to try to fix the issue. They didn't even read my email- they just sent a basic response and considered it solved. I tried to call them several times and I could never get through because the hold times were too long. Not to mention, their hold music is absolutely abhorrent, it's a less than ten second song on a continuous loop that's so loud it crackles my speaker. My refund was supposedly mailed on 2/13. It is now 2/21 and I have not received it. Not to mention that it's difficult to cash the check.

As soon as I put my verification code in they locked my account. I can’t talk to customer service because I can’t get into my account and get the account number. My card was supposed to arrive today and still hasn’t arrived. This company is a scam.

Terrible customer service and if not…

Terrible customer service and if not resolved by next week I will be contacting the BBB!!!! I have been going back and forth with them for 2 weeks now with no resolution at all!! I was hacked and can't access my mobile account. I have always selected a check for my refund because I've heard how terrible bank mobile is. Everyday I call them they say they are going to help me reset my password but I've never even created one because I get a check. This is the second week they've been telling me they unlocked my account and I still can't access it! Today they told me my check got sent to a complete stranger and there's nothing they can do about it!!! Are you kidding. Also, when they emailed me instructions on how to long in they sent me another students personal information! I can see her ID , the last 4 of her social security and address!!! No wonder I got hacked ! How many students have they mixed up and shared our personal information to??? So I'm locked out of my account, can't access any information, can't get a check resent...so what the heck am I supposed to do???

The worst experience with a bank hold times are an hour long, locked out your account they can't help you nobody knows anything they are just the worst

BankMobile Review – Restricted Funds and Repeated Account BlocksMy experience with BankMobile has been extremely frustrating and financially disruptive. I received my student refund on Friday, but immediately discovered my debit card had been locked. I had to call customer service just to regain access to funds that were already deposited into my account.Two days later, on Sunday, I attempted to purchase a computer at the Apple Store. My card was declined despite sufficient funds being available. I was forced to stand in the store on hold with BankMobile customer service for approximately 45 minutes before an agent unlocked the card again and allowed the transaction to go through. This was embarrassing and completely unnecessary.On Tuesday, I contacted BankMobile to confirm whether I could use my account to pay bills. I was explicitly told that I could. Based on that guidance, I paid three credit card bills through my BankMobile account without any indication there would be a problem.While setting up an external bank account connection, I accidentally entered incorrect information once. I immediately corrected it and successfully logged into my external account, where my balance displayed, confirming the connection worked. However, BankMobile claimed the verification failed. I attempted again with another account — again seeing my balance displayed — yet BankMobile still marked the verification as failed.After deleting the accounts to retry the process, BankMobile suddenly restricted my entire account. They also returned my three credit card payments, in which I will receive $35 return fees. Who is going to pay for that? I was then informed that my funds could be inaccessible for up to 15 days, even though the money is already in my account and belongs to me.What is most concerning is the lack of reasonable resolution options. BankMobile’s website states it is affiliated with First Carolina Bank, so I asked whether I could visit the bank in person to verify my identity and resolve the issue immediately. I was told the bank only “backs” BankMobile and cannot assist customers directly.This raises serious concerns about accountability and access to funds. Customers are left dealing with an online-only system that repeatedly locks accounts, declines legitimate transactions, and restricts access to deposited money without meaningful escalation or in-person verification options.Students rely on refund funds for essential expenses such as housing, transportation, and academic needs. Restricting access for extended periods — especially after multiple successful identity confirmations — creates unnecessary financial hardship.I am requesting immediate restoration of access to my funds and clearer policies regarding account verification and restrictions. No customer should have to repeatedly call just to use their own money!!

Worst experience ever

After a week of intense verification, the wait on hold to speak to someone at the bank is agonizing—over two hours. Today I received my check in the mail from my university (released on January 26th). Today I went to cash the check. I experienced the most embarrassing situation of my life. They told me the check number didn't exist and they couldn't accept it. I had to log into my university's website and show them my university refund receipt. This is what I went through today just to get my money. Universities should cancel all their contracts with this bank.
