Would love my money back

I purchased some sweatpants from Athleta and even after several washes, I keep finding black little fabric pieces on me and all over my floor. They also seem huge and I haven't lost weight and they are a small.

I bought a pair of leggings less than 3…

I bought a pair of leggings less than 3 weeks ago at my local store. I went to exchange them and I was quite surprised that my local store has been permanently closed. I called customer service and two different people told me that the only way to exchange them is at the store which I do not have that option. The nearest store is 3 hours away from me. Very unhappy with my $89 leggings that do not fit. Won’t be buying from here again.

3-6 day shipping takes 3 weeks.

Great sports bras. Ordered Jan 20, currently jan 26. 2 out of 7 made it to me, the others (when tracking is properly followed through to USPS , and not stopped at their ups-mail-hybrid link) appear to be weeks behind. I'd be hesitant to order from them again, as shipping was promised in 3-6 days.

Claims process a joke

An expensive item was missing from a pretty large Athleta order. Stuff happens. I submitted a claim thru Athleta, which I've done in the past. There used to be a short review process, usually 24 hrs, which was then always approved. This time I realized they're using a new company, Appriss. My claim was instantly denied. I contacted Athleta customer care, they said there was nothing the could do, and to contact Appriss. I was on hold with them for over an hour before I gave up. Now I guess I'm just out $90. I've been an Athleta customer and credit card holder for 10+ years, 75% of my closet is Athleta. This, on top of other shenanigans, has lost them a lifelong customer.

Poor customer service

I ordered a jacket from Athleta and something from the Gap on 12/9/25. I received the Gap order on 12/12. I have attempted to track the Athleta order and their shipping service says it was delivered on 12/12 and 12/13. I am unable to get any further information about the Athleta order. I can see that I am not alone with the number of poor Athleta customer service reviews.

ordered four items and…

My daughter ordered four items and received one. The company refuses to send her the other three or change the bill and expects her to pay for the three missing items. They suggested she take it up with the credit card company which is a part of athleta; they refused the claim. We have closets full of athleta, not anymore.

Mediocre customer service

I purchased a workout top which went on sales the day I received it. They claim to give price match when an item was ordered within 14 days. I contacted customer service via the live chat and was given the run around by 2 different employee. The first one interrupted the chat accusing me not to have answered her questions, which I had. Very rude. The second simply refused to give me a price match. Once they have your money, they simply will not make any adjustments despite their commitments to customers. I work out every day in different clubs and will make sure to tell my surroundings to NEVER deal with Atletha. Other companies have equally good products and much better customer service.

I purchased a Primal loft jacket from…

I purchased a Primal loft jacket from Athleta at the regular price. I was satisfied with the quality of the item until the zipper broke and it became unwearable. Athleta has a ridiculous policy where if the order is older than 13 months, they won’t do anything. This product was expensive and I believed it was well made until it broke. Your customers deserve better!! You should stand behind your products at these prices. I won’t ever spend another dime here. Hello, Lululemon.

No longer a customer

I would also give zero stars if I could. I will never order/make a purchase from Athleta again and by extension the GAP and Old Navy since they are owned by the same parent company. Basically over a year ago, I ordered leggings and a sports bra from the Athleta web site (a new blue color they were promo-ing) and received an email that the leggings shipped and the bra would ship separately/running late. They sent a couple of emails afterwards stating the sports bra was running late with a link to tracking/shipping, that for weeks kept getting pushed out to a later date. They did not send any other emails about the order but the tracking with the estimated delivery date kept getting pushed out every time I checked my order history on my account online. A couple months in, I contact customer service and explain that I still did not receive the bra/did not ship, and they send me to a link to fill out for an order issue; however, I could not process the issue on the link they sent because the item in question was not shipped yet and apparently not in their inventory at the time, and one if the fields I needed to complete was grayed out, and therfore I could not hit submit. At this point I was slightly annoyed, but felt it was not a huge deal to wait for it to ship, and again every time I checked the tracking link, the date got pushed out and with awaiting carrier pick up. Life goes on, kept checking the tracking link, dates keep getting pushed out, now its over a year later the tracking still states the item is awaiting carrier pick up. Athleta should have contacted me and offered a credit or exchange months ago, especially if the item was not in inventory or not enough of it to fulfill the order, rather than the tracking still showing as its awaiting carrier pick up. I finally contact customer service again a few weeks ago first by chat and then I call - I was told there was nothing they can do, I should have submitted a missing package request within I believe they said 90 days. I explained what happened previously, that I did contact them within a few weeks of the order date and about the grayed out field, and that I could not fill out, and could not submit the issue and since tracking link, indicated it was still coming, I let it go. They said there is nothing they can do and that I had to contact my credit card company to submit a claim for a refund. I said I would like to escalate and they reiterated that my only recourse is to submit a claim with my credit card carrier the card I used to make the purchase. Its not the amount of $ (around $35) it's the principle. They also checked the scu while I was on the phone and they said the item was not currently in inventory. I said ok if you can't credit me or ship my original item ordered, how about sending me a bra in a different color in the same price range and they said no, the only recourse is to contact my credit card company to submit a claim and that the best they can do is send me two $10 off coupons. No thanks. I did contact my credit company and have an open case, but this is absurd - I said to the customer services rep to look at my online history, that you can see how long I have been a customer, and how often I order from Athleta, Old Navy, and Gap - they said I might have better luck if I went to one of those stores in person and they would likely be more accomodating. Never again.

I would have given zero stars if it…

I would have given zero stars if it were an option. This company has great clothing but its website and orders division is incompetent at best and dishonest at worst. I have now had THREE experiences where they don’t actually have the items posted on the site but they take your money and order and it just floats in nothingness with excuses and promises to ultimately have you cancel the order because there is no ability to complete it. Back orders. Miscommunications. Empty promises. I excuses like “I don’t know … it says it is in process” … for 3 months. Don’t get involved is my best suggestion. On a moral level … Athleta should be cited for fraud.

Order cancelled. Conference call with my bank to verify me??!!

Was an active customer for a couple of years. They cancelled my order yesterday. Calling today, they need to organize a conference call with my bank to verify me! And waiting time by the bank is up to 1h, and that's above already being on the phone for 40min. Humiliating and extremely time-consuming. That despite 15 previous orders sent to the same address and paid with the same card. Todeloo Athleta, Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic. Will better save my money. There are enough other stores.

The WORST customer service EVER!

The WORST customer service EVER!! Nothing but scripted lines like, “I apologize, but I can’t do anything. Is there anything else I can help you with?” Well, NO — because no one at this company is actually able to resolve anything!Here’s what happened:I placed my very first order and instantly realized the system had used my billing address as the shipping address. I have a different shipping address!I got no confirmation, just “order placed.” I emailed immediately, only to get a response saying they don’t monitor emails.I called and was told, “We CAN’T do anything.” I pointed out they hadn’t even generated a shipping label yet.Three days later, I received an email that the order shipped anyway! I told the company I wanted to cancel this order and place another one — ordering even more items and shipping to the correct address. On the phone, they guided me on how to do this.But then Athleta canceled that second order for “fraud.” Unbelievable. I placed a third order — also canceled for “fraud.”So out of three orders:The ones I actually wanted — to the correct address — were automatically canceled.The one I tried multiple times to cancel before a label was even generated — is the one they force on me without my consent!

Ridiculous online security

I used to love them but they implemented "security" rules that essentially made it impossible to do business with them. I selected the wrong shipment timing (wanted it expedited) and was advised by chat that I couldn't adjust after placing the order, but that I could call, cancel the order and have support replace it. I decided to do so and I spent ~25 minutes on the phone, having them reorder the items. All good, I thought. 90 minutes later I got an email saying the order had been flagged as fraud and cancelled. When I called again, I learned that there was no way to resolve it and I was advised that there is a risk assessment system and that it will likely continue to identify me as a fraudster. I've wasted >1 hour on this today and am still not able to place an order. I was advised to go to the store, which remove my access to the online 20% discount code I have and takes even more time. If the security system is so picky that it can't cope with this, the support team shouldn't have advised me to do this - I would have accepted the slower shipping.

I purchased a pair of endless high rise…

I purchased a pair of endless high rise pants-109.00.The colour was so attractive! It ends there. The fabric wrinkles badly and next to impossible to iron out. Fabric is so light weight it is almost see through. The style is great but to what end when they look so wrinkled.

Stay away terrible company

I would give them a minus 10 for customer service! I have never dealt with such an unethical company! My order came today missing a pair of $91 pants . I had ordered 3 items 2 pairs of pants and a skirt. One pair of $91 pants were missing. My tracking form said 3 pairs were delivered but only 2 items. in package . I called the company immediately and was told an investigation would be conducted and I would get a resolution with in 72hours… well email came that my claim was denied!! I then called back customer service and got a sympathetic operator who gave me a dispute number to call. She then said better to dispute with your bank! 🏦 stay away!

Never shipped...

It's been two weeks more since I ordered and it still hasn't shipped. I requested refund, but Athleta says they couldn't because it shipped already. UPS Tracking is error and my shipping status is still "Awaiting Carrier Pickup" on the Athleta site. I feel like I've been scammed...I will never shop at Athleta again and would like my money back as I do not need the product.

A Deeply Disappointing Experience with Missing Items

I am a long-term, loyal customer of Athleta, having shopped with the company for more than seven years. I usually do not write bad reviews but this time would like to share a deeply disappointing recent experience particularly for international customers who use a freight forwarding service.My most recent order arrived with 3 items completely missing from the package! I immediately contacted customer service to report the issue, was redirected to submit the claim. While submitting the claim I wasn't asked to provide any proof. My claim was denied almost instantly, with no explanation provided. The customer service agent then suggested that I dispute the charge with my bank or the freight company. This is unacceptable! The package arrived with the original Athleta seal intact, and the shipping label clearly stated a weight of 0.2 kg. It is physically impossible for 4 items - including a bag - to weigh so little. The mistake was clearly made by Athleta during the fulfillment process.To have a simple, verifiable claim denied so quickly and to be brushed off in this manner is a terrible way to treat a customer. This experience has completely eroded my trust and loyalty. I do not understand what happened to Athleta... A few years back I had missing items experience, I sent a proof with photo evidence, and the situation was resolved really fast. I even was encouraged to buy more and recommended their products to friends and colleagues... If their current goal is to chase away long-term loyal customers, they are definitely succeeding :(I know you can do better, Athleta!

Package never delivered, appalling service!

My package never got delivered and when I spoke to customer service, no resolution was offered. Instead, I'm expecting to fight with UPS to file a claim? Athleta successfully delivered the first package a few days before so my address is fine, clearly a problem between the sender and the courier. Incredibly poor service and I will not be ordering again!!!

They have the worst customer service

They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced from any company! Honest answers here!They hold you accountable to an order that you never received and refuse to issue you any refunds and make you wait at least 3 weeks and you still haven't received your order. I will never purchase another item form this lousy store. Do yourself a favor and go to Lulumon much better experience and customer service
