Booked a valentines weekend through…

Booked a valentines weekend through booking.com at the Limehouse library hotel double room. We had confirmation proof of this. When arriving we are taken to our which was a twin room. Once speaking to the hotel, they received our booking via other third party company showing twin room. This is not what our confirmation has said on booking.com. Once we explained this and also sent proof of this to booking.com, they did nothing! The hotel did not even offer to change the room or move the beds. They were very unhelpful- so shocking the Booking.com would use such a hotel under thier name. No compensation no remorse no help! On valentines evening me and my husband are stranded in the middle of London Booking.com do nothing! No refund no compensation no help! Booking.com have a lot to answer for! Disgusting customer service. This company should be rated -5 stars.

Don't trust booking and pay booking for room

I would not use them again. Customer service trash. I paid my room thru booking website and the room didn't go thru and I had to pay out of my pocket again. And now booking won't refund my money

Bad place to buy tickets for Flights

Bad place to buy tickets for Flights. I tried to change and they said. Look the airlines office to change and the airlines office said, this is total responsability of the booking.com. Im here for hours tring and nothing. No recommend!! " I completely understand your concern. When we first attempted to make the changes, we encountered an error on the portal. Please be assured that the refund has already been processed from our end. Regarding the dates, I have checked again, and I’m very sorry to inform you that the airline does not have any direct flights available."

Paid an extra $350 to be able to select…

Paid an extra $350 to be able to select my seat and when I went to the web page to select seats, I had to pay extra for the seats - $329 extra - very deceptive practices. The regular prices was $1260 and if I paid $1600 would include free seat selection - ended up being charged $329 for seat selection

warning - do not use booking.com

I woke up to a notification from my bank app, revealing that booking.com had charged me $490 for a booking I never made! Attempting to contact them was an absolute nightmare. Without a reservation number, something I didn’t have, I was left with no way to call them. Emailing was near impossible; their responses were painfully slow and utterly unhelpful. After a month of relentless emails, I was still in the dark about what had happened or if I would ever see a refund. They simply stopped replying! Frustrated, I had to contact my bank to raise a dispute. Finally, I received word that their finance team would “investigate,” but it could take another 7-12 business days to finalize, and even then, I might not get my money back! This experience has been nothing short of a disaster. Do NOT use this company! They are utterly untrustworthy and their customer service is a complete joke!

Totally irreliable!

I have booked economy flexible flights tickets to malta through booking.com. according to the applicable conditions this means that changes can be made and cancellation is possible. First of all it is very hard to get into contact by either phone, chat or email, secondly they are not willing to process any changes and finally no refunds are given upon cancellation. I would not recommend anyone to book flights through booking.com. you might as well through away your money directly in the garbage bin.

Bed bugs

We didn’t notice anything during our stay, but shortly after returning home, our group discovered bed bugs in our luggage and clothing. After retracing our trip, it was clear they came from this hotel — it was the only shared accommodation we stayed in.When we contacted the property to inform them, they were dismissive and refused any refund or responsibility, even though this caused us major stress, extra expenses, and a lot of hassle cleaning everything. We are deeply disappointed by how poorly this was handled. Avoid this hotel — the hygiene and management are completely unacceptable.

I give it a -10

I give it a -10 . DO NOT BOOK THROUGH BOOKING.COMThis company rips people off. My partner booked a car hire through these conmen. When they arrived to collect it in Melbourne, they were told to ring and they'd be picked up from the airport by their shuttle bus. They rang, the person said the car place doesn't shut till 10pm, they were told to wait 20 minutes for the shuttle to come and collect them, 30 minutes later, nobody had arrived. They rang them again, got someone different, this one said it closes at 9pm and to wait another 20 to 30 minutes. Still they didn't arrive, my partner rang them again, around 8.50pm, this person then said that it closed at 7pm!! And offered a partial refund! Obviously my partner said no we need a car! And that due to their mess up, they're entitled to a full refund! He said, you're going to have to wait until the car hire time has expired to receive it!! 🙄. My partner told them they need a car now as they're stuck at the airport!! They said there's nothing that they could do and he'd have to contact them through email. My partner and son had to go to another hire car company at the airport and pay another $790 to hire another car. After their trip to Philip Island for the motogp, my partner contacted Booking.com through email, he was then advised to contact them via phone! He said i did that and was told to email!! The number that was given was for the UK, we're in Australia! My partner has emailed a few times now, to no avail! No refund issued!! Stop taking people's money and giving them nothing. You really are a disgusting company. These people are robbing people and getting away with it!!

Awful customer service - Incorrect information provided for accommodation

Customer service follow up is terrible. This was my experience:I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding our recent stay in Rome, which was booked through your platform. The accommodation was completely misrepresented in both its description and facilities, resulting in a deeply disappointing and distressing experience - particularly as this trip was intended to celebrate my partner’s birthday. When we arrived on Saturday evening, we were greeted by a man who could barely speak any English. He was on the phone to his family while showing us to the room, making it impossible to communicate with him or raise any questions. He then left abruptly without any explanation or handover.Once he left, we immediately realised that the room was not as described on the Booking.com listing. We had booked a double room with an outdoor terrace and dining area, yet there was no terrace or view at all, and the “dining area” consisted only of a small table with a single chair pushed against a wall. The bed was positioned tightly against the opposite wall, meaning that one side was inaccessible. The listing also stated that there would be tea and coffee-making facilities, but we found only an almost-empty jar of instant coffee with about two teaspoons left in it, no milk provided, and just one mug for two guests. When we requested an additional mug, we were told via WhatsApp that we would have to wait until the following day. There was also only one roll of toilet paper supplied for our entire stay. When we queried these issues, the man on-site insisted that the room was a “single room”, despite our having booked and paid for a double. We contacted Booking.com customer service, who advised that we could either receive a refund or request a discount. However, we were told that this could only be arranged directly with the property owner. When we attempted to contact the owner, we were informed that he would not return until Friday - three days after our departure date. This was clearly unacceptable. We were told that we could receive a full refund if we checked out that same night, but as it was already after 10:00 p.m. and we had been travelling since 5:00 a.m., this was simply not practical. In addition to the above, the general condition and cleanliness of the room were extremely poor:• The bed sheets were thin, worn, and had holes.• There was no mattress cover on the bed.• The television was literally held together with sticky tape.• The room had a persistent unpleasant drain smell that we could not identify.Communication with the on-site staff was extremely difficult due to the language barrier. At one point, the cleaner handed me his phone to speak with someone claiming to be his manager, but that person also spoke very limited English and merely told me to message another “boss” who would not be available until Friday. We tried repeatedly to get further support from Booking.com, but we received no meaningful help. Your customer care team did not respond until the morning of our departure - when we were informed that we had only two days to raise a complaint. To make matters worse, your system does not allow us to upload the video evidence of the accommodation as the file exceeds your maximum upload size, making it difficult for us to share visual proof of the poor conditions. I will attach screenshots of our WhatsApp communications with the property for your reference. This whole experience was extremely upsetting. We specifically chose this accommodation based on the excellent reviews and the description on your website, both of which were inaccurate and misleading. Our short 4-night stay in Rome was intended to be a special birthday trip, but instead it was overshadowed by stress and disappointment.Given the misrepresentation of the property, the lack of basic facilities, and the total failure of both the accommodation and Booking.com support to resolve the situation, I believe a full refund is entirely justified.I have been a loyal Booking.com customer for many years and have never experienced anything like this before. I hope you will take this matter seriously and act promptly to resolve it.

Data Warning when booking

Here’s a more concise version of your message: I booked Greenpark Hotel in Hyderabad via Booking.com yesterday. Today, I received a WhatsApp message claiming my card authorization failed and asking for credit card details via a link. I blocked the sender and contacted Booking.com through their app to verify if it was a scam. They confirmed it likely was, but didn’t explain how the scammer got my booking details (hotel name, dates, and my contact info). That’s my main concern and it not clarified. I have now sent another message asking for this specific point. It has to be either hack on hotel or Booking.com site or an inside job

• “Booking.com cheats people.”They are scamming people

They are scamming people! They took money from my account, but there was no ticket at all. People should be very careful. My friend also complained — last year she bought a ticket and ended up paying twice for it. I’m not sure if she ever got her money back. This company is disgraceful and awful. Do not buy tickets through them! They don’t reply to emails, and the phone numbers they provide only connect you to robots. Nobody answers questions. They sent me an email telling me to call a number, but when I called, it was only a robot answering. Fake company, fake, fake, fake!”

Terrible customer service – refund ignored

I had a confirmed booking that the property cancelled at the last minute due to double-booking. Booking.com’s policy clearly states they cover the difference if you’re forced to book alternative accommodation. I provided every document they asked for, including the zero invoice, but after weeks of chasing they stopped responding and never processed my refund. If a guest cancels, Booking.com enforces penalties immediately. But when a property fails to honor a booking, they don’t stand by their own policy. Very disappointing from such a large, well-known company.

Terrible customer service!

Hotel fabricated their location, booking.com cancelled booking and promised a refund with 7-12 days. 2 months later nothing. At the same time my credit card details stolen off their platform and money taken, they did nothing & they don’t care. Holiday ruined and wasted hours and hours chasing them. Avoid!!

If there was a "0" star

If there was a "0" star , that is my experience on Booking.Com!!! I used to rely on it a lot reaching Genius Level 3( actually 6 but their levels only recognise 3). There is double charging on my 2 credit cards ( Mastercard and AMEX). Do not trust them with your credit cards. Once they have it and they Double Charge there is no end in going in circles with their Customer Service Staff. My file of emails and document attachments of statements is almost like a novel. You can not contact them directly by phone if not by "long distance call" ++time difference. Their response is "someone else did it" so your back to emailing the hotels again! I will soon resort to the Office of Fair Trading in my country. I don't see any assistance from Booking.com

Staff horrible. Moaaz M

I wouldn't recommend Booking.comA booking has been made in the same dates to two different cities. I was not aware of that. Once noticed, I canceled once of them with 7 days in advance before the arrival. They said it is no refundable. I felt no happy and decided to stop using Booking.comOn the website, they don't let you to cancel your account. A right that everyone should have. Booking.com does not let you to delete the account. They should seriously be investigated and reported. It is dangerous really. They are plenty of properties listed without being verified and are scams.I called to customer service to cancel the account and was attended by a gentleman called Moaaz M. On 22nd of September 2025 at 10:40am. After explaining my situation and the wish of cancelling the account, he literally said. I will called you back. He never did it. He just ignored it.He is seriously shameless and horrible, miserable. Everyone should be aware of their practices. It would be good to share and spread the experience as much as we can so everyone is aware what is Booking.com and encourage people to try others alternatives like Trivago, Agoda, Airbnb... But no Booking.comI am working as distributor and public relations and I would share my experience as much as I can.I encourage to everyone to do the same

Be careful, this are professional crooks

Be careful, don't believe what they tell you. We were screwed by a recreation Parc. Booking. Com lied in their mails just to not refund. Spend 20 eoro in phonecallys.the agree I am right and after that keep sending standard mils rejecting refund. Bargening on the phone for Litlle money. Be carefully. One day you will become their victim! They agree I am right but owners of property does not want to give a refund so they also do not want to loose their money and lie about the true. Email? Many mails sent, no reply

BOOKING DOT COMpletely useless

The property I had reserved failed to notify me that my booking had been cancelled. Neither did Booking.com notify me. I only discovered the cancellation when I contacted the property to confirm my arrival time, at which point I was informed that the property had been sold earlier in the year. This failure to notify me represents a clear breach of the reasonable expectations set out in Booking.com’s own terms, which require service providers to honour confirmed bookings or communicate promptly when they are unable to do so.When I contacted your customer service team, I was told it would take up to 24 hours to investigate. However, I had already booked flights and train tickets. With the Grand Prix taking place that weekend, alternative accommodation was extremely limited and significantly more expensive. I was therefore left in an impossible situation, incurring substantial additional costs through no fault of my own.The €25 voucher offered as compensation is entirely inadequate. It represents less than 2.5% of the additional expenses I was forced to incur, and offering it only as a voucher rather than a direct refund is unacceptable.I would sincerely say not to book through this company. Absolutely awful.
