The instructor was great...excellent course!
Valerio did an exceptional job with balancing teaching the material, facilitating our learning through mini-exercises, providing examples / anecdotes / context and answering questions. There were one or two occasions where the examples / anecdotes / context may have gone off topic or a bit longer than needed, but this is a relatively minor issue. Better to have robust anecdotes than none at all.Recommendations: ----------------------(1) For each section on Miro, in addition to adding a time box, add the Workbook page #s for those who want to follow along in the workbook. This allows one to compare, take notes &/or highlight the workbook, etc. Having the page #s reduces the time for finding the corresponding material. This is especially true because we do not follow the workbook sequentially. There is no issue with that. Simply adding the page #s will help those who choose to follow along the workbook.(2) In the "preparation" emails instructors send before the course commences, add a recommendation or a tip to use, if feasible, multiple screens and or computers. Rationale -- improved learning occurs when one can see three items concurrently: 1. The Zoom session (both the chat and the person speaking) 2. Miro 3. WorkbookHaving one computer (or screen) results in having to "flip" to each of each of those pages with the potential to "lose" something.(3) For the Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) audience, ensure the instructor is tracking the differences with the BAH specific course on Agile (NOTE: this is not a BAH template or guidebook). BAH has a "BAH Agile Foundations Course" (run by KaiRise) that results in a student becoming an International Consortium for Agile (ICAgile) Certified Professional (ICP). The BAH Agile Foundations Course Student Workbook lists the following:"The Daily Standup 3 Questions: - What did you complete yesterday?- What are going to complete today?- What's impeding or clocking your?"Valerio provided good arguments why the above is not the best approach and suggesting many others. Valerio, or other instructors, knowing this can potentially change the approach to this topic to reduce potential confusion with a BAH audience.(4) Maintain the more frequent breaks adjustment we made. On day 1 we went 90 minutes before taking a break. Valerio adjusted the breaks for the next couple of days (in some cases event-driven, vice time-driven) and it was a significant improvement with attention span, snack/restroom breaks, etc.(5) In the "prep" email add a link or attachment of a glossary and acronym list of any terms and/or acronyms the instructor and/or material will cover throughout the course (e.g. Jira, PBIs). This would be very useful for all, but especially for those without any agile/scrum background.(6) Quizzes. Do NOT do break-out rooms for quizzes. Let individuals take them and then bring up any questions for the entire group.OVERALL: a very well organized and structured course with an exceptional instructor / facilitator. The above recommendations are potential minor improvements on the fringes.
The format of this course was very engaging and fun. Valerio did an amazing job keeping the class engaged while ensuring that we all understood the material. Despite having some knowledge of Scrum and Agile, this course provided the right level of detail to ensure I walked away with a much better understanding of the subject matter and how to improve my teams. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to get certified as a Scrum Master.
Good class discussion and exercises. There were several items that I am going to take back to my current team for suggested areas for improvement. I also feel prepared to take the ScrumMaster certification.
Valerio was engaging and structured the training in an engaging way utilizing virtual resources and good examples/lessons.
Valerio did a great job with engaging the class, providing different examples throughout training and using the class as a sprint which helped enforce the information.
The training was tailored well for both those new to scrum and those with experience in scrum. It was interactive and thought-provoking, and there was never a dull moment. Mr. Valerio was able to keep the class structured and focused on the objective. He answered all questions with confidence, knowledge, and experience.
I recently attended an online course on CSM with VZ. The course content was well-structured and easy to follow. The instructor was knowledgeable and experienced in the subject matter and communicated the material effectively. The course was very interactive also it included quizzes and assignments, which enhanced my learning experience. The course platform was user-friendly and easy to navigate, and I did not encounter any technical difficulties.Overall, I had a great experience with the course. It met my expectations and provided me with valuable insights into the subject matter. I would definitely recommend it to others who are interested in learning more about and want to be a SCRUM Master.
Valerio’s expertise in scrum is excellent and he clearly connects real world examples to the scrum framework/theory/best practice. I've learned a lot that I can take back and use on the job. The number of breaks provided and his approachable manner also made it easier to learn and stay engaged during the course.
I came into the class with limited knowledge in Scrum and I learned a ton in 3 days. I have the knowledge now to get my career in Scrum started.
The class was interactive and fun. The session included lot of group activities to reinforce the concepts.
I'm glad I took the CSM class with Valerio. His methodology and approach are excellent, and he provides all the necessary materials.
This was an eye-opening class. It was surprising to learn that we were doing a lot of things incorrectly which may be why we were not as productive as we had hoped. Have a clear understanding of the roles of PO, Developers, and SM will give us the tools to produce deliverables that are truly done/complete. Thank you for this class.
Valerio was simply one of the best instructors for any course I've ever taken! I also really enjoyed how interactive it was, as oppose to just being lectured for two days. It really kept me engaged!
A very experienced tutor who made the class engaging and enriching with both concepts and real life anecdotes.
The instructor Valerio Zanini was engaging and the content was very informative.
I was following the CSPO course organized by 5D Vision, and I would recommend it to all the POs. It helped me see how to improve my work as a PO at the speed of the light-years.
Attended an outstanding CSPO training led by a passionate and knowledgeable instructor. Their focus on collaboration made the sessions engaging and interactive. Practical examples and resources provided were invaluable. Highly recommend this instructor for a rewarding training experience!
Thank you, Valerio! The CSPO class was very educational, understandable, interactive and interesting. Once again thank you for your effort!
Scrum Alliance and professor Valerio Zanini are the best. Classes are dynamic, entertaining and they actually train you for a real life SCRUM event. I didn't spend hours reading books or articles, Valerio made it easy to learn and understand. Oh and I passed my certification exam!!!!
