Negotiated remote role 6 weeks
I’ve been following Sho on IG for a few years now and wasn’t having any luck with my remote job search (2+ years). Sho and the GHA program has helped me land a remote role with a negotiated sign on bonus in 6 weeks. Granted I did apply previously but the 2nd round I was much more prepared. In an exceedingly tough market and not getting past the 2nd round of interviews I was able to get live feedback on my LinkedIn, resume, structuring my interview process, 30/60/90 presentation and hone in my negotiation skills. You do have to put in the work and show up every week and consistency is key. If you are looking at pivoting your career path I would highly recommend the group class as you’ll be speaking with other ppl in the same job search. If you need more of a one on one coaching style you can move up to his higher program. I can’t say enough about how helpful his team has been. It is a bit pricey (1 on 1) so I opted for the group course but if you can land your ideal career or dream job with specific needs it is 100% worth it imo. There are also peers from other parts of the world looking at jobs internationally and is very inclusive.

Really enjoy the Workhap course. It was super helpful for updating my resume and LinkedIn, networking, interview practice and negotiation. I also really enjoyed the weekly meetings with the Sho and the coaches. This gave a good opportunity to talk through obstacles and updates.

Landed a full-time offer after a 2.5 year career gap!
I was really been struggling since losing my last Junior Software Engineering role in Oct 2022, especially with the job market in the tech industry. When 2025 rolled around, I made a resolution that this would be my last year of unemployment and made a 6-month plan to finish a coding project and get myself interview-ready. The last step of my plan was to find a career coach that could help me stay motivated and mitigate the burnout that had ended my previous attempts at job searching. I enrolled in GHA at the beginning of April, and by mid-June (less than 3 months later), I finally landed a full-time Junior Software Engineering role at a great startup with a 30% raise and sponsored security clearance!GHA is not a magical fix-all. In January 2025, I decided to invest in the Get Hired Academy program to find my next job. I was in my previous company for over 12 years doing the same job and have been restless and ready to make the leap. But I was plagued with analysis paralysis and was struggling to edit my resume, my LinkedIn profile, and do the next steps in my professional journey. I felt lost and needed structure, direction, and community. GHA gave me that structure, organization, community, and resources to get started on my professional journey! The training modules are in manageable bite-sized chunks and quick enough pace that you do not lose interest or get bored. I was working for a medical company as a call center supervisor for 3 years. Then layoffs and half my department were let go in May 2024. Id had seen your videos a lot, and updated my resume using chatgpt. Then applied to places. Then in a video you suggested flexjobs, so I signed up for it in June 2024. Landed level 2 call center agent job for a medical company. Lower role, but higher pay by $2, more PTO, and fully remote, and been working since September 2024.

The coaches were excellent
The coaches were great. I had just moved to a new city, and picked up any job, them signed up for workhap because I loved Shos content. Unfortunately I lost that “meh” job in the middle of the program and they help support me find a job that was a better fit for me and it was a fantastic experience. From healthcare to hybrid office accounting job
I started to follow Sho from Workhap at the begining of the year 2024. At that time, I felt burn out from my current healthcare job, so I want to change completely to different field, which is accounting. However, I did not know how to write my resume to match my skills which the field I want to apply or what to say in the interview. My friend showed me Sho's instagram and said that he created contents for people to look for job. I started to watch his reels on instagram, go to some of his free sessions for tips about resume & interview, and use his free resume template for revision. Follow Sho and Workhap, I learnt how to write transitional skills from my healthcare job to accounting job for my revised resune. I also used his advice to practice for interview and what questions should I ask for interviewer. Moreover, when I applied the job during summer and did not get a reply for a month, Sho's post mentioned about how people take vacation so it could take HR longer time to get back to to interviewee, which encouraged me a lot. After I wait for 2 more weeks, I received an offer from a civil engineering for hybrid accounting job. They put me in the middle range for salary which is much higher than I expect. I receive all my healthcare benefit & retirement that is way better than I expect ( Sho also gave you tip for how to look into this in job description). Truly grateful to Workhap’s generous sharing of their knowledge on recruitment! I benefited greatly from Sho Dewan’s tips!I’ve been job hunting for months, and I’m in a very specialized/niche profession. This past year has been particularly tough for our field because of large-scale layoffs, so us new grads had to compete with experienced professionals. December 2023: I was laid off from a Software Tech company and felt unsure about my job search.
