Serious leaning in a community charter school
WFCA is extremely well run, with administrators who go out of their way to ensure parents can easily stay involved and instructors who challenge our daughter with high standards and personal attention. When our daughter became eligible to enroll, we reviewed school's mission statement and charter documents and found them to be ambitious, practical, and fair - exactly what we feel is needed in a community school. We have absolutely loved this school.

Excellent School!
We love Wake Forest Charter Academy. Admittedly, selecting a "new" school felt risky - no test scores - no parent reviews - no track record – Kindergarten classes a little larger than others with no designated teacher assistants - but we can honestly say it has been the perfect environment for our daughter. She started Kindergarten this year (the school's second year) and we have been extremely pleased with our daughter’s progress and the school’s mission, environment, teachers, staff and leadership. I’m sure that all of the Kindergarten teachers are wonderful, but we have really enjoyed Ms. Patton!! The schools environment is positive and structured. The Principal shakes each student’s hand upon arrival and knows the kids by name – all of them – which is pretty amazing! The building is new, neat, and designed for safety and learning. I love that the school actively engages DADS! The parent volunteer room is always full (with Moms AND Dads!). Whenever the school has an event, there is not a spare seat to be found (great parent engagement and support). We have been very pleased with the communication from the school and teachers – weekly phone calls each Sunday at 6:00 pm from the Principal, up-to-date, robust websites were parents can check grades, download homework and communicate with teachers, frequent newsletters, daily feedback on your child’s day and a welcoming “we are here to help your child succeed and we are interested in parents’ feedback and involvement” philosophy. We really like the uniform policy (I will admit, I was surprised to like it as much as I do!). The carpool pick-up/drop-off runs smoothly and most important MY DAUGHTER IS HAPPY AND THRIVING at Wake Forest Charter Academy!

Highly recommended
This is a great school with a variety of teaching methods. I have 2 boys and one does great and the other ones has challenges with the structure. The teachers work so well with me about different methods of rewards and strategies for both of my 2 extremely different boys.

We LOVE our school!!
Wake Forest Charter Academy is an amazing school! The principal, deans and classroom teachers are top notch. They are all excited about WFCA and about learning. Their passion and excitement inspires our children. There is a VERY positive attitude at the school and you feel this energy the minute you walk in the door. Even the classroom management focuses on the positive and getting caught doing the right thing! Great behavior and making good choices are emphasized with monthly moral focus character traits that are worked into lessons and assemblies. The smiles on my children's faces each day confirm that we are blessed to be part of such an amazing school!

Impressed for two years now!
My kids came from a private school in Cary and I've been continuously impressed at how things are handled within the school. The teachers and staff are great communicators and care about the growth and development of our children. They push the kids to do their best and have done a great job at incorporating technology into the curriculum. I love this school!

WFCA school
I can only say all good things about WFCA. My daughter is in her 2nd year as a 1st grader. She looks forward to school and talks highly of her teachers. It is great to watch her learn and grow. I am pleased that WFCA teaches moral focus. Overall great school!!!!

This School Loves Their Students
This school gets my highest possible rating. Everyone on this campus, from the teacher assistants, to the specials teachers, to the classroom teachers, to the administration goes above and beyond to create a learning environment with a "moral focus" where students love coming to school.

Good School
This is a good school and we especially like all the staff. They seem to like their jobs and care for the children. Security is a priority and the doors are always locked. Some concerns I have is that the class size is large, the rooms are small and there are no assistants in the lower grades. This is still a new school and it is learning as it is growing. There is lots of learning to do for 6th-8th grade. No school is perfect, but this school has been a good choice for our family. I do recommend this school to our friends.

It's ok. Not amazing but better than traditional public schools.
So, the class sizes are as large or larger than traditional public schools in the area. I've heard of other charter schools that put kids into groups based on their abilities. I would love it if our school did the same thing to make sure our kids really exceeded the standard for the state. Instead, they're in extremely large classrooms and all taught the same thing as everyone else in the same grade. The teachers are certainly better than average from my experience but I know parents who disagree. The two teachers we've had so far are phenomenal. The administration lacks a lot though. They don't seem responsive to requests from parents who aren't at school all the time. Ultimately, it's slightly better than traditional public schools but if we had to move away, I wouldn't be heartbroken to leave.

Great Moral Instruction
WFCA has been excellent in reinforcing the character qualities we are try to instill in our son. The teachers care about the children, communicate well, and provide an encouraging atmosphere that supports an optimum environment for the kidsto learn. I highly recommend WFCA to any who are searching for a school that promotes character along with academics.

Our son is learning not only basic education for his age, but also how to become a good person. To make wise choices. To stand up for himself and others. To be caring and compassionate. Great School
My daughter has been here a year and a half and everything has been positive. From the office staff to principal and teachers, and the after school program. Extremely happy with this school and my daughter loves it!
