**1-Star Review – COMPLETE NIGHTMARE – SCAM ALERT! AVOID AT ALL COSTS**This is hands-down the worst experience I’ve ever had with any relocation or shipping company. Universal Relocations and Aeon Shipping have turned what should have been a simple move from Mumbai to Dubai into a 90+ day disaster, financial blackmail, and massive property damage.Here’s the ugly truth:- **Arjun** from Universal Relocations was the salesman who convinced us to go with them. He was super friendly, promised everything would be smooth, quoted a “fixed all-inclusive price with no surprises,” and assured us delivery in maximum 25 days. We trusted him and paid the FULL amount in advance.- **Santhan** (also from Universal) kept reassuring us over calls and emails that the shipment was on track, “just a small customs delay,” “vessel arriving next week,” etc. Month after month of empty promises.- Then Aeon Shipping (the actual carrier/partner) took over and started the endless rescheduling game: “delivery next week” → “sorry, next week” → “maybe end of this month” → repeat for over three months now. Zero real updates, zero responsibility.We are now well past **90 days** (shipment was supposed to arrive by early December), and my household goods are still god-knows-where. Because of their criminal delays, everything inside has suffered serious damage.The absolute lowest point: After taking 100% payment upfront, they are now DEMANDING ADDITIONAL MONEY before they will release or deliver the boxes. This is straight-up extortion — holding our belongings hostage until we pay more.If you are even thinking about using these companies — **RUN THE OTHER WAY**. Arjun’s smooth talk, Santhan’s fake assurances, Aeon’s endless rescheduling — it’s all part of the same dishonest playbook. They have ruined our relocation, wasted our money, destroyed our belongings, and shown zero remorse.**Zero stars. Total scam. Stay far away from Universal Relocations and Aeon Shipping.**Save yourself the heartbreak and financial loss that we are now suffering.

I shipped two suitcases with universal relocations from California to India out of which one of them was misplaced by them before it reached their New Jersey facility before it could even be loaded on the container. Don’t trust them with important goods. Their insurance is useless because it only covers anything beyond a 250 dollar deductible. So if you loose anything they’ll only compensate you with the remaining 250 dollars for the entire suitcase lost. My suggestion, pay that extra money on the flight to carry the suitcases with you for peace of mind.

Bootleg, Careless and Rude
Terrible company to work with. They came to pick up my items on September 9th. I had every tub opened so we could list and itemize everything in them. The crew stated that they didn't need to do this even though I was already charged for this. The guys put the tops back on my tubs and loaded them on their box truck.Eduardo of Relive Global stated my items would be in Costa Rica before October 3rd. After reaching out a few times and having my CR realtor reach out, I learned my items were sitting in Houston for weeks. They weren't weighed or measured. My realtor was told there was a delay due to an over accumulation of products from a winery. Then I was told I needed to send them a list of my items even though their people chose not to itemize my open tubs. I was originally charged for this service.I had to continue to reach out the Relive Global and Universal Relocations for answers and the status of my shipment. If I knew they had too many other shipments to handle I would have chosen to work with another company.I didn't receive my items until after the appointment time on November 5th.After the multiple delays and issues, I deserve a partial refund.UPDATE: Here's Shabaz's response to me after my Google Review.Dear MarQuita Anderson,As informed earlier, you have not signed up with an agreement with our company for your move. We have been contracted with the company with whom you have an agreement with directly. As such, we are in no commercial terms with you and there is no resolution to be provided from our end.To reiterate, we (Universal Relocations INC) have never requested any booking deposit nor any extra charges from you.Kindly take it up with the company you have a commercial agreement with.Thanks,Shahbaz| Operations Manager

There are better options! Their main objective is profit maximization at the expense of the customer. Balaji is your typical used car salesman. By ALL MEANS please stay away! You have been warned. Terms like customer retention and customer lifetime value are foreign to them. Time and money well wasted!

Communication was clear right from the point we approached Universal Relocations team. The packaging process was well done and it took about 3 and half months for our packages to arrive in Mumbai from Bay Area, CA. Everything was in good shape when we recieved it with no damage. BEWARE, THEY ARE THIEVES!
BEWARE! THEY STEAL BLATANTLY!My husband and I hired this company to ship a 20’ container with 154+ boxes from US to India. They first misled us by saying that the container will directly be delivered to our doorstep. Then they encouraged us and misled us into buying 1500$+ worth of insurance. Upon a significant delay in the good actually moving (a few weeks of delay), we finally got the stuff in after 3 months. My husband was called into customs for clearance and after literally spending 10 hours every day for 4 days straight trying to get things cleared from customs and with this company being of no use, we used outside help to have things taken care of and cleared.Universal Relocations counted our boxes when loading everything in a truck (and not in the container they said they would be delivering directly) and they marked 156 boxes in total on their sheet of paper after loading was complete at customs warehouse. By the point the boxes were loaded, it was evening and their team was not available for door delivery, so the truck went to their trucking company’s warehouse. Next morning the truck arrived, followed by their team that arrived nearly 2 hours after that. Their team unloaded the boxes and we counted it. WE WERE MISSING 7 BOXES! These weren’t small boxes. They were 2’x2’x2’ boxes each. Each of these boxes contained nearly 1000$+ worth of good so about 6,000-7,000$ worth in total was now missing. Their team counted the boxes 4 times and confirmed to their manager on call in front if me that they loaded 156 boxes and unloaded 149. We were livid! Upon opening 2 boxes that were unloaded last since they seemed extremely light, again 2’x2’x2’ boxes each, they were empty! Everything taken out and only some packing material left in and the box taped back shut as if that’s how they were packaged and delivered to us!They asked us to file a claim with insurance that they misled us into buying by saying that we will get 500$ per box is any of them is damaged or stolen. The insurance company rejected the claim stating that they only reimburse if the entire shipment is damaged or stolen, not for individual items or boxes. The insurance company even asked us how Universal Relocations didn’t already know that’s how it worked! Now we are out of the 1,500$ of insurance money + 6,000-7,000$ worth of goods!It’s been a whole month since this ordeal in Beginning of December 2025. They assured us that they will fix this for us but they have stopped responding since the last 10 days. We have hired a lawyer and will be taking this up legally. We’ll go to court if need be. Save yourself the HORROR! These guys are blatant thieves and mislead you! Read other similar reviews! DO NOT HIRE THEM! They take no accountability and ghost you when their job is done however shabbily!

I have moved goods through UR from New Jersey and from LA since 2024. A very convenient forwarding system especially for US to India. The customs clearance was hassle free and they delivered at our doorsteps. I have recommended my friends at US to definitely work with UR. Some hiccups were there for the LA pick up but otherwise a seamless door to door service. Great team.

This is more than just praise for the company’s service—although it was consistently friendly, professional, efficient, and responsive throughout the entire process. Every query we had was addressed promptly, and our belongings reached safely and on time. A special mention goes to Thyagarajan, the coordinator, who was extremely supportive and always available to take our calls, despite the time difference. His dedication and reliability truly made the experience smooth and stress-free.
