This was a great experience even my kdg was engaged with my 3rd grader session
Great opportunity for teachers who love teaching and tutoring. I worked for TBT for over a year in math and all of my students who attended had noticeable academic gains. I was treated professionally. The hours are for Individuals looking for part-time only. Pay is good and consistent once you are placed.
It’s great and awesome that this company offers another opportunities for teachers.Kudos tbt!🥰🥰🥰
easy to navigate
it is a digital, adaptive college admissions exam that has recently undergone major format changes. Your scores can strengthen a college application, and you have free resources to prepare, but many colleges are now test-optional, making your choice to take it a strategic decision.
Good experience
He looked forward to attending, he began excited when he knew the answer
We like this online class idea.
It was truly an amazing experience for my child to attend these classes. They were fun and engaging, making learning enjoyable. We’re looking forward to the Math classes in the next session as well.”
They are helping students learn about Things they don't know
I would not recommend this company for anyone to work. They're micromanagers and vultures who are not receptive to feedback or suggestions. Nor do they care about the schools and students they serve. You can forget about running a few minutes behind as a result of something being out of your control. Depending on who your MT is, he or she will either soften (or worsen) your overall experience. I’ve had very good, somewhat good, okay, and downright toxic and backstabbing MTs. The pay is honestly not that great as they have decreased the hourly pay in recent years. I would not even recommend TbT for anyone who even wants to make extra money on the side. It’s not worth it. You may or may not get an engagement. And if you do, the energy and time spent between logging in 10-15 minutes before, being required to take attendance WHILE in a lesson (you’ll be poked with no end by an IS to do attendance), and then having to fill out session notes at the end of each session is not worth the stress.
The person who interviewed me said I was great at the interview etc. and then 2 hours later they send me this email: Thank you for taking the time to create your demo lesson and meet with our interview team! We enjoyed meeting you and observing your demo! At this time we've decided to move forward with other candidates who more closely fit our specific needs. We think it's pertinent to note that competition for careers at Tutored by Teachers is always strong, and that we often must make difficult choices between many high-caliber candidates. What a joke!
Fantastic service for schools in the U.S.
I had an similar experience with the other one rating individuals. I felt like I spoke up for myself a little too much for my MT liking and lost my job 8 month’s pregnant. You can tell their focus is volume and money not truly their countless employees. They are looking for yes men and women who will do what they’re told with question.
I apparently was fired from this company for asking the Mentor Teacher aclarifying question that incriminated me somehow. I was chastised for not reaching out or informing her that something wasn't working. That's what I was trying to do by initiating the conversation. I explained this and pointed out that if I was doing something wrong she needed to address it with me so I could correct it or the onus was on her. Shortly after this, my Slack account was disabled and my name was removed from all platforms. I wasn't unprofessional in any way , I was simply advocating for myself. MTs micro manage, they change expectations on you and insist nothing 's changed . It's a shame because the pay is good , the kids are great, ad I did learn some new things about teaching virtually.
I had a few issues with the link for the interview but I finally got into the interview chat. However as soon as the interviewer saw me, and yes I was late, she hung up in my face. Then I received an email stating that there will be no more chances (in more words or less). I don’t know about you, but making one small mistake, because I’m real life, life happens, you are unable to reschedule. This seems to be quite unbusinesslike, and unprofessional. I know I am to blame but life happened and I struggled until about 10 mins. into the interview. I worked in Japan for 5 years and even in the strictest educational system in the world, I was never treated with such worthlessness. I hope you think twice about this place. At the very least make sure your google calander doesn’t need and update and that you can do that through your Wi-Fi connection. If not make sure to have enough data left on your phone’s service plan because these people have no remorse!
Yujia is a very talented teacher. She is knowledgeable and passionate about her work. She is patient and encouraging. She was able to make very abstract material accessible. She not only explained very dense and intricate concepts of organic chemistry and genetics, but she also was able to advise me on the study and test-taking strategies. If it wasn't for her support I would have never been able to pass this class. Anyone who gets to work with her will leave with a strong understanding of advanced biology and a love of science.
Im so glad to find Rahul’s team through my brother for my 8 years old son who has started his coding class about 2 months ago and just Loving, Learning and Looks forward to his sessions every week with his talented Tutor Karishma. A very talented team Who's helping out my son thinking outside the box!!!
Rahul and his team are really onto something here. I knew I needed to find a tutor for my child but I had no idea where to start. Rahul and I had a conversation about my child and their strengths/weaknesses and he suggested 3 possible tutors for them. We selected one and he has been absolutely wonderful for my kid. They come out of their tutor session beaming, talking a mile a minute about what they did in that session. They do all sorts of things during their tutoring time. For example, they spent the entire last session writing and revising a single poem that my child wrote the week before (they're 10 years old). It's been amazing. THANKS Rahul!
We have had such a great experience with Arielle. She is great with our son (age 5), and it's clear she is experienced with children both in and out of the classroom. She is patient, kind, encouraging, and effectively communicates concepts to him. When he makes a mistake she walks him through the steps and shows him how to arrive at the correct answer. We are so happy to have found her!
