This was my first golf boot camp

This was my first golf boot camp, and it was a great experience. I’ve golfed on and off throughout my life, but have been serious about improving my game for the past year. Using hints and tricks from youtube, I managed to cut my score from 110 to 90. But I’ve been stuck at 90 for months, so I attended the TTG school. The trainers are very knowledgeable, caring, skilled at training, and just good people. . . . and you should see them hit, wow!!Playing one day, I found myself about 8 yds shy of the green, with another 5 yds to the hole. The green was cantilevered quite a bit, left right. Trainer Tom suggested I hit up to a spot about 10 o’clock to the pin, with enough force to let it run up hill of the cup, and let it drain. Using a stroke they taught, I hit that mark, the ball traveled up about 10 feet, stopped and started rolling down. We were all watching it intently as it wound its way like it was in a funnel. Then it hung on the lip! We were all coaxing it for what seems like forever, then “plunk!”. Haa we were jumping around yelling, a real Tiger Woods moment !Anyway, I couldn’t have made that shot without the tools TTG gave me. The old me would’ve either duffed it a foot, or over the green. My drives are straighter now too.TTG delivers!!

Independence School Input

Tim is a great teaching pro. He spent the appropriate amount of time with me, given the fact that my two friends were equally in need of help. I am glad there were only three of us; it could have diluted the time for us all. He had a tough challenge with three different people, all with differing skill levels, and I think he did a great job with all of us. He imparted some great insight into my swing flaws, and I did get some immediate results with some of his inputs. I took his instructions to heart and made efforts to implement his thoughts on how to correct my flaws. I shot a one-over par 71 yesterday and could have shot my age, had I made two short birdie putts. As a 69-year-old guy, Tim helped me focus on things in my control and didn’t try to re-invent my swing. I broke 70 as a young 13-year-old, and I have strayed from the game for years at a time. I wanted this school to help me get back to playing to my potential, despite my physical shortcomings and my age. Tim has made me confident that I can repeat as a Super-Senior Club Champion again this coming year.Less than satisfactory points: • I was disappointed that we lost 9 holes of play on Tuesday because a tournament got rescheduled to our time slot due to the previous weather. Not anyone's fault, but I was hoping for some form of compensation. We paid for and expected three full rounds of golf. • Breakfast was a mess. We were told there would be breakfast for three days. I don't think a donut or a bagel qualifies as breakfast. We ended up eating at our hotel for the last two days. Please don't say there is breakfast included unless it is breakfast. Some guys have dietary requirements, and we had one of them in our group. • I would have appreciated a little more time with the Shot Monitor. We each got about 25 swings on the monitor. Although helpful, there wasn’t much to check or reinforce our corrective actions on our swings. • I requested help with my intake message about clearing my left side and helping me with my back injury. Never really got into that at all. • Maybe a little less time chipping and pitching and more time with contact drills. • I spent a considerable amount of time researching various companies and their offerings. I chose this school because of the proximity to my home and what was promised in the original course description provided. For the amount that I paid to attend this course, I was slightly disappointed. Having never done a full immersion course, I didn't know what to expect, except what I was told would happen. It didn’t happen as scheduled and was, therefore, unexpected. Your acknowledgement/introductory letter and website indicated we would start at 8 AM each day. We never did that. There was at least an hour or so each day that we could have scheduled training, but we didn’t do that. On the last day, we arrived early to make the most of the facility on our own. We were a captive audience. I feel we wasted time by not taking advantage of some type of training, especially since the schedule showed we were to start at 8 AM. We were prepared to start every day at 8 AM as advertised.• We were told that the My Golfing School app would accept our swings for a pre-event evaluation before arriving at the school. That was never completed. I feel that there is a shortcoming in that app. It would have been helpful for Tim to have our analysis before we arrived at the school, as the system indicated and was intended.

It was great from the first hour to the last I’ve never been to any kind of school or had taken any kind of formal education on the game so this was a perfect way to start started at the green and move back to the tea. Each day was better than the one before it Never hit so many balls in my life outstanding in every way thanks Joe and Thomas.

I recently attended a 3 day golf camp at Dobson Ranch with Joe and it was worth every penny I paid for the camp. I am 60 years old, and I have never once had a golf lesson, and I just started playing again last Fall. I was concerned that Joe would try to change my swing in 3 days, but he just tweaked me and showed me techniques that would improve my game. From Putting to Driving, I learned so much that is helping me to get my 22 Handicap down. The process is going to take some time but when I am on the course, I am hitting the ball and sinking puts like never before. If you are looking for a short 3-day golf school that is fun and relaxing, I would give Joe 10 stars.

Learned so much from Joe in 2 days. The wrist hinge technique he taught me actually works great for my style of hitting the ball. I wish I had more time with his lessons.

Online Lessons Done Right

If you're looking for a serious online golf training platform, I'd suggest Top Tier Golf's Champions Academy. Their instructors on there are some of the top PGA coaches in the world and my thirst to learn better techniques are being quenched by the Reverse Hinge Masterclass. Also, I recently submitted my Scorecard and got great feedback from their golf pro. Highly recommend these guys!
