Back in June of this year I contacted your company regarding issues with my original shutters.I spoke directly with several of you (Sheldon, Nick, Dalton, Ben) and received the best customer service from all of you. Your genuine concerns regarding the 15-year-old shutters on my historic home was very real and your knowledge and experience with your line of shutters was very comforting to me. After we sent you photos of our deteriorating shutters and you all consulted with your in-house team of advisors, it was determined that the best solution was to replace ten of the eleven pairs of the original shutters at no charge to me. (Invoice ID: 154115)I really appreciated the rapid response to our issue and the turn around time for replacing our shutters. Although we still have not been able to find a qualified contractor to install our new shutters (they have been unpacked and being stored in my garage), we thank Timberlane, Inc. and your staff for standing behind your product and your reputation for unsurpassed customer service. Top quality product with superior installation
Excellent service, top quality product, and superior installation services. Sean from Timberlane really helped out with the process and was responsive and reliable and friendly. Jim Van Camp, owner of Cornerstone Custom Shutter Installations, installed the shutters but also provided superior customer service and incredible knowledge of the many varieties of shutters, accessories, and installation. Based on Jim’s knowledge, we ended up with much nicer shutters than we otherwise would have because we would have just chosen simple shutters. Jim and his associate Lou must be perfectionists because they installed everything perfectly and left no trace. Couldn’t be happier.

In October of 2022, Jim Van Camp, owner of Cornerstone Custom Shutter Installations came to my house, built in 1858, to double check my measurements for new Timberlane Shutters. Having talked to him previously, he knew I didn't have confidence in my measurements for new shutters. Thank goodness he came. I was way off base with my numbers. Timberlane makes some of the best shutters in the world and I was excited about having them installed on my classic brick townhouse. Jim is Timberlane's primary shutter installer. He spent two hours going over every measurement of my windows. Without his professional help, my new shutters would have looked like they belonged on a haunted house. Jim helped me correct my order and delivered the shutters about two weeks later and did the installation, helped by his assistant Louis. He previously had explained to me the various options I had to secure everything. I just said, "Jim, do what you would do if this were your house." Jim and Louis were extremely personable, as well as professional and knowledgeable. Recently, in May 2024, I had a new roof installed on my home. Unfortunately, the roofers missed some of their tarps throwing the asphalt shingles off the roof, and scratched four of my new shutters, I called Jim Van Camp and he told me exactly what to do in considering my options. The roofing company followed his instructions using the Prime Black paint Jim sent me. Jim explained how to test the back of one of the shutters with the new paint. At the factory, they used industrial sprayers to paint the shutters. The roofers went out and bought one. One of their employees was very experienced in using an industrial sprayer and did a very good job re-spraying the shutters, following Jim's instructions to the tee. Today, 6/7/2024, the roofers re-installed the shutters and they look brand new, like the day Jim originally installed them. Jim refused any compensation for the additional paint and the incredible peace of mind he gave me. Quite simply, Jim is the best shutter installer in the country. He has my highest respect and admiration for the man and professional he is. Timberlane is lucky to have him.Sincerely, Mike Cirasella

Custom shutters in 12 days!
Ordered five pairs of custom shutters; all the folks at Timberlane were very patient and made great suggestions. Did not expect shutters to be ready so fast! The shutters and paint job were perfect, and I did my part cutting in the mortises which didn't take long. Nice added touch of the aluminum caps atop each shutter too. Thank you Timberlane!

We shopped for shutters for some time, initially focusing on wood, ultimately deciding on Endurian by Timberlane. Ryan at Timberlane was an absolute pleasure. He was patient, answered every question thoughtfully, and was fully transparent throughout the process in terms of cost, delivery and installation. Ryan put us in touch with Jim Van Camp from Cornerstone Custom Installations. Working with Jim was an experience like no other. Jim is not only a master at his craft, but, more importantly, he is a genuine person, which speaks volumes when you are entrusting someone with your home project. It was evident from the start that he takes immense pride in his work, and he treats his clients with respect and courtesy. His communication skills are unparalleled. Prior to meeting, he immediately reached out with examples of past work, detailed his process, and listened to our needs. He adhered to any and all appointment times scheduled and even made sure to phone with an exact ETA once he was on his way. His professionalism and product knowledge brought a level of comfort that felt unique because we never second-guessed a decision. We understood why certain hardware was needed; how the taking down and installing of the shutters would proceed; what would be needed to restore the facade of the back of our home upon choosing not to replace those shutters, Due to an issue with one window caused by the original build, Jim was quick to address it and resolve it. We could not be happier with the outcome. Jim's expertise in the home improvement field is not just relegated to shutter installations. Our home needs work, and Jim was able to clearly pinpoint the cause and effect of each area of concern and necessary work to restore it to its original beauty. Jim from Cornerstone Custom shutters…
Jim from Cornerstone Custom shutters did an amazing installation job. He is the most professional contractor in our homebuilding project, and there are many. He is a perfectionist and you can tell by the quality of his work. I could not give him a higher recommendation. The quality of the shutters is outstanding, I think they are the best in the country and his installation just complements the shutters perfectly. We did not have to worry about a thing. He came several times before hand to measure and remeasure the windows and even took a sample of the casings home with him to pre-drill them to make sure everything would work with the correct screws. He communicated well and was on time. he gave us recommendations on the hardware to use. He is the epitome of what every contractor should be like. He was just an absolute joy to work with, and to speak with. I recommend him to anyone and everyone who wants shutters on their homes. Timberlane is a top-notch company. Ever since we visited their factory, we knew that this was the company for us. If you want high-quality shutters, look nowhere else. The shutters were worth every penny we paid. I am a very tough critic when it comes to building our home since I see so many subcontractors. Jim has a work ethic that everyone should try to emulate.

An exceptional experience!
This was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Sean was proactive and made the selection and purchasing process very easy. Jim VanCamp at Cornerstone Custom Shutters is a true pro. He personally came out in advance to check what the installation would entail and made some excellent suggestions. Communication was great and his work was flawless. So professional and friendly. A true pleasure to work with. The shutters are beautiful and match the historic accuracy of the home. Highly recommended!
