Scammy and spammy text outreach
Like another reviewer here, I received a series of aggressive text messages indicating that a mark that I own had expired and that a client of theirs was planning to register it and would send me a cease and desist letter to force me to stop using a mark that has been in continuous commercial use for a dozen years. When I questioned them about it and said that the mark was still in use, they indicated that they would represent me to refile our mark, but did not respond when I asked what law firm they represent. The business claims that they do not do outreach via text messages, but I have received multiple text messages on my personal mobile phone with regard to this issue with their company name and phone number as reference to respond to these messages. These messages were received between November 2025 and January 2026.

Someone purporting to be with this entity "The Trademark Registry" contacted me by text about a trademark I held. First they claimed to represent someone who wanted to file their own claim to this trademark, then they denied they had any client at all. In one text they used the phrase "our client" but shortly thereafter they stated "Not our client, we are not representing anyone."
