Writing a book becomes 'doable' when you have a kind, professional team walking alongside you
Writing a book requires creativity, persistence, perseverance, and confidence. All of these qualities can ebb and flow throughout the process. But when you have a team with skill, dedication, and genuine commitment to your success, the work gets done, even when life makes it incredibly hard.Self-publishing has stood by me through challenges I never anticipated. They gave me grace, flexibility, and extensions when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and support that went far beyond professional obligation and spoke to their humanity. That diagnosis was followed by a major move and the ongoing responsibility of caring for my 92-year-old mother. At several points, I questioned whether I could continue. At times, I gave up on myself.Self-publishing never did.They continued to encourage me, remind me of my purpose, and walk alongside me when my energy and confidence were low. This is an organization that truly cares about its clients as people, not just projects. It is led by Chandler Bolt, a man who genuinely walks the 'I care' walk. I have never witnessed such devotion to the success, dignity, and well-being of those he serves.If you are looking for a self-publishing team that combines expertise with compassion, accountability with encouragement, and professionalism with heart, I cannot recommend Self Publishing highly enough, and most particularly Ali Tugwell. They didn’t just help me publish a book; they helped me keep going when life tried to stop me.

Publishing support fell short of expectations
I invested a large sum of money with SelfPublishing.com expecting professional support with the publishing process. I was very clear that writing was not the issue; I needed help with publishing, including formatting, cover development, editing guidance, and understanding key details such as ISBN ownership.My coaching calls were brief and often ended before much progress could be made. At times, my coach did not remember my name and showed little familiarity with my project. As the project moved forward, there was little to no involvement from the coach in editing or cover development, and there was no continuity between the different teams working on my book.I was very unhappy with the cover-design process. Requests to speak with someone by phone were ignored, and relying solely on email made it difficult to resolve confusion. I also received no insider guidance or meaningful direction on creating a genre-appropriate cover.A significant portion of my investment was for marketing, which I expected to be largely handled by their team. I was clear that this was the area where I needed the most help. The e-book promotions provided have not generated a single sale to date.I was also misinformed about ISBN ownership.Based on my experience, I cannot recommend SelfPublishing.com to authors seeking comprehensive publishing support. It may be better suited for writers primarily seeking writing-focused encouragement rather than full-service publishing assistance

I watched part of Chandler’s webinar on a Tuesday. By the end I had signed up for an exploratory call. Nate asked me a great question: what vision do you have for your book? He didn’t know it but he laid out the attributes I wanted in a publisher. Trust. Expertise. The ability to grasp my vision for my book. Real accelerator to achieving my goal
So far working with the Self-Publishing School has been great. Everyone that I have spoken to from the initial call, the orientation and my first coaching session has been really positive and inspiring. Wonderful experience
Wonderful experience, very welcoming. I had my first call with Michael today, we talked about my book which I was very self conscious about and he was very encouraging. Complete RIPOFF
Complete RIPOFF! My husband paid to have book published. Did not finish book and died four months later. This rip off outfit would not bother to even call back when I wanted a refund! I was told that "you should honour his memory and finish the book!" WTF? Would not respond to Better Business Bureau. If this is the integrity....go elsewhere with your money!
