I have been with selective for many…
I have been with selective for many years. I have kept my plumbing and hvac bond with them for $50. A Year for each license. This year the won't renew my because I won't buy business insurance from them. I explained, that i am an inspector and I only keep the bind so my license is active. They won't budge. I found," BondAbility.com " and they sold me a 50. Dollar bond! Thank God!I have motorcycle cycle insurance with them. I haven't had a problem there yet.Which is why they get 2 stars.

This company treats customers with contempt
After I signed up for home and auto insurance in 2023, the rate proposal for 2024 was well over a thousand dollars more than the previous year. So, I switched to another company. Then Selective Insurance had the audacity to send me a bill for $6.00 for mailing the paperwork for the 2024 insurance quote. When I tried to contact the company to understand why I was being billed $6.00, I couldn't find a phone number. I decided to ignore 2 repeated attempts to bill me for $6. Then I received a notice that if I didn't pay, they would send my $6 bill to a collection agency. Really ???!!!! What a small-minded, greedy, nickle and dime company this is that can't provide a phone number to find, that charges me for the paperwork for an estimate, and then threatens to send my bill to a collection agency. So, I paid the bill, only because I wondered if it would affect my credit score. What would Selective Insurance gain, maybe $2.00, or maybe nothing, or maybe a bill from a collection agency? My independent insurance agent even had difficulty finding the phone number for the company. He said they don't write much insurance for this company anymore. He also said they may charging northern customers more for losses in the southern states. I am not surprised at an increase in my premium, but I am at a loss for words for describing this predatory, asinine company, that treats customers with contempt.

Pathetic and unrealistic work culture for consultants
I have worked with Selective insurance around 1 year so though of sharing my actual experience so that others could be aware, Very pathetic and unrealistic work culture for dealing with software consultant. Specially some senior level manager are very unrealistic and work like dictator. They believe in forcing to consultants and take always biased decision. Even they don't listen to others opinion. Few managers are very inane to their own strategy and plans and once failure comes, they always try to target consultants. They are flexible in office timing.
