Great GPS Collar for large Homestead!

We got a SATELLAI dog collar for our mixed-breed husky/Aussie, and it has truly been put to the test. We live on over 50 acres on a mountain in Vermont, where winters are cold and conditions can be tough. This waterproof collar had no issues handling snow or harsh weather and consistently maintained a strong GPS signal.The app is intuitive and very user-friendly, which we appreciated right away. As a working homestead, knowing exactly where our dogs are at all times is essential. Being able to set custom boundaries gave us real peace of mind, no matter where we are on the property.The “no-go zones” feature was also a huge plus. Our dog does a great job protecting the homestead, but we definitely don’t want her going after our chickens. With this collar, we know our dogs are safe, contained, and doing their job without creating new problems.

These collars never connect properly

These collars never connect properly. It’s a constant battle to use the app every time. The batteries they claim are up to 3 days… not a chance. 1 day max if your dog is sleeping. Shipping was 2 weeks late, and when it finally came half the order was missing. Contacting support is useless, there is no support about connectivity issues.

BUYER BEWARE- awful experience

BUYER BEWARE- awful experience!! False advertising. I have been trying to return my collar for a while now. They ask for multiple photos and tell me that the shipping has to be at my expense AND that they will keep processing fees ..I live in a rural area and purchased the collar based on the claims of the site of reliability and accuracy. When my dog on the 2nd day of wearing the collar was in my kitchen distraught running back and forth between my husband and i - we saw that while indoors and over 45 feet from the fence boundary she was being repeatedly zapped- not just once as a breach but over and over and over again. She was completely terrified and upset. This is despite the collar showing a green gps signal and the boundary being over 45 feet from the location (kitchen) that she was in. After frantically removing the collar and reaching out to customer service to return the collar (she won’t let us get near her with the collar she is so afraid of it) we were repeatedly given the run around and told that it is our location’s fault (although they advertise for rural areas) and that our house is too close to the boundary and gps strength is not strong enough. The zapping was when our dog was over 45’ within the safety of the boundary- the boundary itself is set against a road which we are trying to prevent on dog from being on (so we can’t push it out further or she would be on the road). Our house is over 20+ ft from the road and the kitchen an additional 25 from there. Customer support instead claims that due to the close boundary and gps strength- that indoors I would need to use a beacon to create a safe zone (which is not large enough to allow the dog to roam indoors freely since it is a 3-5 meter radius while the footprint of our home is 36’X70’+)… AND that we would need to turn the fence on an off every time the dog entered an exited (which they do at will including when we are ok work calls and can not leave a call to turn the fence off). All this to say we have had a horrendous experience and want others to be aware. Not reliable, poor experience and company doesn't stand behind their product. DO NOT recommend. Also- when trying to write a review on their page (because there are glowing reviews) I found that they don’t have an area to write reviews there-very shady!! So where are those reviews from if I - and actual buyer with collar in hand and hefty invoice to prove it can’t file a review! I bought it direct but should have known not to when I saw that the product had been removed from being able to be bought on Amazon? Coincidence? I think not!!

SATELLAI is a great product with service

SATELLAI has worked really well for our Dog Nala. The geo fence and correction has been spot on. Our fence is surrounding approx 2 acres. We also use it for barking correction when she has the collar on. I do recommend to remove, or shut off the fence when your dog in indoors. I’m really impressed with their customer service as well. We needed to replace a screw on the collar and they responded same day with instructions. I’m very happy with them and their product over all!

Collars are OK, Company has questionable Integrity.

Update: I was informed they would reimburse my cost to of buying replacement pieces, they didn't. The replacements arrived and were too small. I informed them of this, and they asked me to send photos so they could improve their product. This company has been a disappointment at every opportunity. I'm going to make my own collar straps and just cut my losses on this. The reliability of the collar is ok. We have a large piece of property in saturated cell market, there are no dead zones, but the collars continuously struggle to stay connected. My dogs aren't looking to stray too far so it isn't a big deal in my situation. The material of the strapping on the collars isn't great, it is too rigid and develops fatigue cracks quickly in the cold. There is no phone number to call for service, but the email address is very quick to respond. They are replacing the straps on my collars as a "courtesy." The most critical thing I want to point out on this review is when offering to replace the pieces they would only ship it for free if I left a 5 star review. To me that calls into question the integrity of this entire company. I paid the shipping myself and want other people to beware of the reviews as I am confident some others may not have felt the same revulsion about that that I did.

Collar falls apart with no customer…

Collar falls apart with no customer service! Within weeks two screws fell out they want $10 to replace! Are you kidding $400 collar and it works less than three weeks? Seriously poor customer service you call and get recordings that hang up on you.

Outstanding Customer Support

The technology works really good and is more accurate than similar technology that I have tried. The customer support team is very responsive and willing to help. My recent experience with a collar that was chewed through they guided me to a replacement and gave me tips on how to protect the equipment in the future.

The right collar

I had spent two days looking for the right collar for my lab and I decided on Satellai. Features of the product for the price point is what finally made me choose satellai. I was needing an accessory package for it and their customer service got with me within 24 hours and solved the problem. Can’t wait to see how it works at the mountain cabin. Will let you know.

I love this collar

I love this collar! It is super easy to use and the app is wonderful. The only issue I have had with it is that I lost my charger. When I reached out to customer service that were so helpful and sent me a link. It took only a few minutes to talk to a real person.

great customer support

Collars were to big for dogs, contacted customer support and they quickly gave us advise and instructions to fix the problem. Now the collars fit perfect. I researched several collars before deciding on this company and I am glad I chose this collar. Hopefully I will not have any issues but if one comes up, I have no doubt that their customer service will promptly resolve the problem. Would buy again and recommend this collar to anyone that ask.
