*Update to add note at bottom*Session canceled with no notice My child took a practice ACT through Revolution Prep, got his test scores immediately after taking it, and I had a score review appointment 6 days later. Fully intending on scheduling follow up tutor sessions after the review.I logged in to get prepared and my session was canceled. Their reasons were: 1. intake information was not filled out. BUT there was nothing in the online account to fill out AND if they had notified us sooner my child could have filled it out.2. The test was incomplete. What?!?! The test was scored. My child was given a practice ACT score. WELL if your child doesn’t answer all the questions they will consider your test incomplete and they will cancel your appt.After all this, I tried to get an appt to review before kiddo spent more time on another test and they kept saying NO. Turns out he did not use his accommodations and ran out of time in the test. Proctor told them to complete as many questions as possible.Update: I was able to get an appt with an advisor through my education benefits and she was awesome! Turns out my child should be taking the SAT anyway. And she said on the ACT the kids should finish ll the questions even if they have to guess.

Canceled session without notice
My son had a scheduled tutoring session that was canceled solely on Revolution prep’s end and failed to notify me. It was only when I logged into the website at the scheduled time to find out the link disappeared. No email, nothing! My son is very upset as he was looking forward to the tutoring session. We planned our day around it but to find out Revolution prep canceled it. The way how it was handled was so unprofessional and they just lost a customer forever. My daughter uses Varsity and never had an issue like this. I hope the owner sees this and comes up with some sort of corrective action.

We have been so happy with the tutoring for both of our children. Shaun O helped our youngest with SAT prep and physics and calc tutoring. Trevor was able to help our COLLEGE SOPHOMORE with advanced calculous (calc 3 multi-variant) and she reported that she finally understood the concepts because he was able to connect them to last year's calc 2 material in a way that she could relate to the material! This is an investment in our children- the other bonus is that all hours roll over and never expire!!!

We have never before hired a tutor for our kids, but as educators ourselves, we know how much success on standardized tests like the ACT can depend on familiarity with test questions and format. Additionally, we worried about how our son's anxiety would hinder his test performance if he didn't spend some time practicing and building up his confidence. As a result, and after recommendations from friends, we decided to work with Revolution Test Prep. Shawn Kane worked with our son over the course of 24 sessions, and we saw his confidence in himself grow immensely. Jackson Byers tutored our son in IB Math and Chemistry over a six month period of his senior year. He started with one practice session a week and in the weeks leading up to his final they spent 3-4 hours a week together working through theories and practicing applying them. He really needed to bring his final grade up by at least a point to meet his conditional offers in the UK and I am confident with Jackson’s help he did all he could do to get his best grade. Our son really enjoyed spending time and learning with Jackson. We went through two other tutors who were great but he really connected with Jackson. Revolution Prep is awesome-we’ll continue to leverage their tutor for our daughter as she enters her final years of high school.

Great tutoring company. I have been working with Joe Twohig, who advised us on what would work best for my daughter's pre-calc class and SAT prep. Her tutor, Chazlee Myers, has done a wonderful job making my daughter feel comfortable and explaining the material in a way that she could understand. It has made her want to learn instead of hating the subject at school. Her grade has improved and she's been able to maintain an A in her math class. We're still waiting for her SAT scores but it's clear she was more confident going into the test. I would highly recommend this tutoring company to other parents.

AP tutoring
We have been using Revolution Prep for over two years for both AP classes and ACT testing and have been very satisfied, but Dehavion Knight is EXCEPTIONAL. I highly recommend her; she was so patient and was really able to breakdown the complex concepts covered on the AP Bio test. After the session was complete my child stated that she wished she had had her all year as a teacher and not just for the final. Next year we plan to work with her on a regular basis for AP chem. She is the best!

We have currently been using Revolutionprep for both of our daughters tutoring needs in math. We are very happy that we have found them. Joe Twohig has been a big help as far as coordinating the tutors for us and making sure everything has gone smoothly. I have tried other tutoring services before, but I am very happy with the knowledge and direct support that revolution prep has provided. Their tutors just to name a couple that we have tried, Scott and Samantha are experienced and really good at what they do. We will continue using their services.

My daughter, who is currently in 11th grade, used Revolution Prep for ACT tutoring, and our experience was outstanding from start to finish. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need of a tutor.Before our first session, Sue took the time to thoroughly explain the process and was incredibly helpful in finding and scheduling the right tutors for us.My daughter ended up working with two different tutors (Katie and Zach), and she thought both were excellent. She was thrilled with her results: her composite ACT score increased by 4 points, with individual improvements of 7 points in English, 5 in Math, 4 in Reading, and 3 in Science. Her tutors kept in regular contact with me, providing updates on her progress and even sharing videos of their sessions.

My son has had a wonderful experience with his tutor, Joshua Duff, who has helped him immensely with giving him meaningful test-taking strategies that he never would have learned on his own. From picking out important information when reading passages to breaking down math problems into more digestible components, my son says these skills have helped him in his regular academic subjects. He looks forward to his tutoring sessions and readily does the homework in preparation for his follow-up sessions. Joshua has been very flexible in helping him with his upcoming AP exam as well. I highly recommend Revolution Prep and wish we had started this earlier in his high school experience for regular tutoring for his academic subjects. David Zimbalist has also been incredibly helpful in navigating this tutoring process and I appreciate the time he took during a phone conversation prior to my son beginning his sessions.
