BEWARE giving them debit/credit card…
BEWARE giving them debit/credit card info. I made a payment for a friend and was specific that my card was NOT to be kept on file. It was for one time use only. I have called multiple times to request reversal. The physical location doesn't even answer the phone and the representatives at the general phone number refuse to even discuss with me and hung up on me. I have had to report current unauthorized charges with my bank as fraud. I would give zero stars if I could. Worst customer service ever.

It's Absolutely Absurd that our rate…
It's Absolutely Absurd that our rate has been hiked to $224/month for a small unit!!!! I'm actually embarrassed that we haven't stopped this insanity sooner! They are advertising our unit to new customers for $35 per month!!! we are loyal customers that have been there a few years and they drastically hike us up all the way to $224 a month!!! Infuriating!! This insanity ends this month!

An unexpected and unwarranted monthly…
An unexpected and unwarranted monthly fee increase of 50%, from $40 to $60. This is of course excessive, akin to extortion by a greedy, despised slumlord. I asked for reconsideration as a senior on fixed income. Public Storage in their immutable understanding graciously offered a $5 discount. Their unexpected screwing fo a 50% surprise increase I declined. I will move out rather than appease these crooks.

Dollar My Butt
Complete nightmare, never believe the $1 move in because it's b*******. I rented last month in Austin off of North Lamar and it was $78 not $1, over 100° inside the temperature control or climate controlled environment, the facility was ragged and soon as we started bringing stuff in there the manager come in there and accused of of smoking and drinking in his unit his hot ass unit. My sister passed away and I was out of town for a couple days and when I came back the lock was off of the door and there was poop in a bucket there and anything of value was gone and the rest was torn up there was cigarettes in there I don't smoke by the way. I tried to get in touch with the manager could not find out how by then I was sick I filed the police report and waited till after I got it to contact the insurance. They wanted pictures taken and the stuff preserved that was left there and guess what they had empty the storage completely with all the evidence put a lock in there to rerent it and yet my gate key still worked didn't know you could rent a storage until after someone moved out and I had not moved out the manager was set to screw me over. I have pictures and then today I get a bill stating that after my move out I still owe $22 I didn't move out he moved me out illegally. He just wanted to make sure that the insurance I was forced to pay for was of no help to me. But luckily I had pictures up until then and I also videotaped that I still could get in with my gate code. Public storage is also notorious for selling your stuff soon as you're a couple days late they are the worst storage out there dollar my ass.

Daniel is awesome!
I recently rented a storage unit at the Park Meadows site in Colorado. There were several complicated issues that arose. (No fault of the organization). Daniel was awesome and went above and beyond to help me. We were on the phone several times. He is excellent to work with. Thank you!

Awesome People & Great Customer Service
I can't say enough good things about the staff at Public Storage on Palm Bay Rd in Palm Bay, FL! Britney is always incredibly helpful and displays top-notch customer service every time I call or visit. Recently, I ran into a stressful situation where my unit was at risk of going up for auction due to late payments, and I was in complete panic mode. However, Britney and Vicky went above and beyond to assist me, work through the issue, and help me resolve everything. They were patient, understanding, and truly cared about helping me find a solution. I’m so grateful for their exceptional service and for making a tough situation easier. Thank you, Britney and Vicky, for being so awesome! I Highly recommend this location for their professionalism and fantastic customer care.

If you care about your belongings
If you care about your belongings, stay far away from this place. My storage unit was completely emptied, and I wasn’t contacted once—no phone call, no email, nothing. The staff here is completely untrustworthy, and the whole operation reeks of negligence, if not outright theft. Here’s what I’ve learned from my experience:Inside Jobs: The workers seem to be involved in organized theft. They use or hand out master keys, allowing them or others to access your unit. If you use their locks, you’re basically handing them the keys to your property. No Oversight: They openly admit that this location has no manager, which makes it easier for these shady practices to continue unchecked. There’s no accountability or security for your stored items.Useless Cameras: Even though they have cameras, it’s clear they aren’t being used to monitor or prevent theft. What’s the point of surveillance if they don’t care enough to investigate or protect their customers?Neglect and Dishonesty: The staff here doesn’t care about your belongings. They’re either complicit or completely negligent. Either way, your property is at risk the moment you rent from this location. It’s clear this location is a hotbed for theft. Customers like me are being robbed without any explanation or help from the staff. This is not just bad service—it’s criminal. If you’re considering storing your items here, don’t. You’ll be risking everything. And if you’ve already rented a unit here, I strongly recommend checking on it immediately and using your own high-security lock—though honestly, even that might not help.Let’s hold this place accountable. Report incidents to Public Storage corporate, file police reports, and leave reviews to warn others. People deserve to know the truth: this is not a safe place to store your belongings.Spread the word and help stop others from becoming victims.

Inept staff and hidden charges
The person who booked my storage location over the phone booked the wrong building; it was several miles away from the one I specified. I moved in mid-month, I wasn't there 3 weeks and got a bill for the next month, which I wasn't planning on. They failed to tell me that their billing cycle is at the beginning of the month, not when a person moves in. Then they charged me for insurance before their stated 30 days to get my own. So I went ahead and moved my stuff to another facility with 24 days remaining on my unit just so they don't invent any more charges. My issue isn't with the facility; that was fine, and the app worked well. It's the incompetence and nickel-and-diming business practices that turned me off. Better communication would have gone a long way here.

Public Storage-Gold Hill Road in Fort Mill
The facility on Gold Hill Road is lovely; however, it is so poorly run that we moved out. Staff is very seldom there. Only one restroom==the men's restroom on the main floor== was open and the door couldn't be locked. (They have two restrooms per floor and three floors) I kept asking why the restrooms were closed and they kept giving me the same reason for months. The reason they gave was the locks were on order, but not in. The electric outlets were covered to make them unavailable to They removed access to the Internet. It is unbelievable that they stay in business.

Thomas was the most helpful person I ever had!
Rented a unit at the 2200 Ave K location. Was greeted by Thomas in a very cheerful polite manner. The experience went smoothly, and Thomas was very informative and also helpful and eager to make sure that I would be renting the correct size for my needs. He took the time to show me the different size units available. This gentleman went beyond what I expected. He was not afraid to put in the work and make sure that I was getting what I needed. He also went and looked for a dolly for me as none were available. What a great service. Public Storage you really have a great worker in Thomas. He should be recognized for his outstanding customer service skills.

Locked out of storage unit by illegal storage latch
This problem has been going on since 7/25! We rented a storage unit from Public Storage at 4921 Davis Blvd, North Richland Hills, Tx 76180 and the $150 payments were paid thru automatic payment. The facility is infested with rats destroying property and leaving excrement over our things. Bought this to the attention of the office & suggested they call a Pest Extermination Service to deal with this health hazard, so far the rats are still there. We need to get our property out of storage ASAP. Arrived to find a Janis International storage door latch was placed over our storage unit and we cannot get into the unit. Robin, stated we would have to pay a locksmith $250 to remove latch otherwise we need to wait for 72 hrs when Dis. Mgr. would remove the lock. We had rented a U-Haul truck to transport our property and had a deadline to get things removed from storage & boxed. Robin office ??? (Left 5 msgs just ignored us, 817-704-2395) Dis. Mgr, Marcus Stewart 469-829-4372, (left 10 msgs all ignored) Corporate CS 800--567- 0759, 800-688-8057 Rose, & Jolie. Heidi from Escalations dept. was the most belligerent, argumentative CS rep I have ever encountered. Stated it is not their lock, even though the manufacturer Janis International have stated they have supplied these locks to Public Storage. Heidi blatantly lied about Dis Mgr returning calls these can be traced on my cell phone! Heidi Stated policy is to have Dis Mgr unlock units every thirty days, no exceptions even though they installed this illegal lock. Stated need to sign form to allow this process…no email so how do out-of-towners sign???? NO EMAIL CORPORATE POLICY! Police dept stated it’s illegal to hold your property hostage by placing illegal locks on a unit in good standing. This Company has some serious policy issues that they refuse to deal with & 2,103 BBQ complaints supports that theory. A lack of accountability is evident, within MGMT. Terrible, frustrating experience!

Stephanie at the Public Storage on Airways in Memphis was very helpful and went out of her way to assist me with my unit as well as answer all questions/concerns. I have had a great experience with Public Storage thus far and would recommend others to rent from their facilities. I have not had the same service in the past from other storage facilities quite like this one.

Change is not always good when the price is too high
This company has been going to dozens of changes first it was security self-storage then it became Public Storage. And to add insult to injury the price of the storage units have gone up from when it was just only $150 a month to $201 and I hear that it's still going up I'm going to probably have to remove all of my items from my storage units.

My motorhome was stolen from…
My motorhome was stolen from PublicStorage on Martin Way, Lacey WA. Someone bought a storage unit for $1.00 for the first month and a $29 fee. You don't even have to go directly to the office. You can even get one online at Publicstorage.com. Please look at the screenshot of their web page included with the pictures of my camper.Online Contract. No Contact.Rent Online Right Now. Skip the Counter & Go Straight to Your Space. Then you get a personal code linked to your name (or fake name and ID), no verifying anything, including address, documents or ID. In my case, someone got the code at 3:30pm and came back 4 hours later and went back and simply drove out with my motorhome. All on camera. When you get a the code and get through the gate gives access to the entire storage property. When my motorhome was stolen the persons got $30 a code, and went back 4 hours later and drove it right off the lot. They refused to take any responsibility. They said they do not provide any security, even though they are locked behind a security fence with cameras, and a personal code is required to enter the property. Beware of this company! Check the reviews before using them. And definitely don't store anything valuable with them! Keep an eye out for my motorhome, please.
