Terrible delivery. Placed order weeks ago and Can’t get hold of anyone by phone no one responding to email. No name given in emails. The only contact no is a service who do not even know the company name they are answering calls for and can’t help. Avoid at all costs
No warranty on there plants and could not tell me a delivery date and when they did it was wrong, Go to a big box chain like Home Depot, Lows.. one year warranty
Ordered from the UK for delivery to family in Sacramento and all went smoothly, beautiful English lavender plants at a great price

While I’m very disappointed that half of my order was cancelled because of quality issues, I’m glad that half of my order was canceled because of quality issues! The Manzanitas that were delivered are beautiful and I’m looking forward to planting them soon. I’ll be placing an order for the canceled plants as soon as they are made available. Every plant we have every received has been in tip top condition.

This is my 3rd order with Plants Express and every time has been a great experience. Good prices, nice tracking and delivery drivers have been friendly and helpful. Plants came in great condition!
This is our 2nd order from Plants Express. The first order went well. Unfortunately, this order didn't. We did not get the 25 gallon Satsuma Mandarin tree we ordered. They delivered us the wrong fruit tree and now we have an anonymous 25 gallon fruit tree instead?! We reached out and spoke with Manny to let him know we wanted to get the situation corrected, and what we actually ordered delivered. He apologized, and set a re-delivery date to bring the right fruit tree. They canceled less than 24 hours before delivery and told me it would be 30 days or more before they would have a truck the proper size to deliver the correct fruit tree. We ended up with a refund and a waste of time.
The 3 staked vines (1 red trumpet and 2 pink jasmine) were beautiful, healthy, and full. Our yard looked more lovely immediately after planting them with trellises. I would definitely buy from Plants Express again.

The grass plants were very small in the pot and don't seem to match the price. Otherwise, the plants were good.
I've had great success with Plants Express. I really try to support my local nurseries, but there have been times when they do not have what I need in stock. With Plants Express, I place the order, and healthy plants appear at my doorstep.

Delivery was awesome and 4 of the 5 rose plants were fine and seem to be thriving now after planting. The fifth , however, was pretty sad looking out of the box and is struggling—it may survive, might not. I guess 4 out of 5 isn’t bad, but a little disappointing.
Found PlantExpress online - I was concerned about using them because they are located in Southern California and I'm in Northern California on the water. Their pricing was 30% less than the NorCal vendor I found online, and 70% less than the local landscape nursery (who it turns out buys from the NorCal vendor). The NorCal dealer quoted 6 weeks. They said they had the plants in stock but were not clear why it was a six week delivery. I called PlantsExpress - they were very knowledgeable of my local microclimate and soil type, and they make weekly deliveries (door to door) to Northern California. Promised delivery in 10 days as they only make one trip a week to Northern California. We discussed options - they were very sensitive fire issues and directed me away from Italian Cypress to Japanese Wax Leaf Privet because of the fire issue. They offered 15 and 25 gallon and sent photos of the actual plants. I went with the 25 gallon. Delivery was flawless - they have a great app that lets you see where the delivery truck is (like waiting for an Uber). Carted the plants to our back yard - no additional charge. Plants look extremely healthy. They're going into the ground this week. Happy Thanksgiving!
I originally scheduled delivery for 11/13/2025 and confirmed over 1 week in advance that it would be shipped to a Sacramento hotel where I would only be for 2 days. I do not live in a regular delivery area. Then, on 11/11/2025 I was told that the trees were not available until 11/20/2025. But, clearly that wouldn't work as I would no longer be in Sacramento then. I called Plants Express and said NOT to deliver the trees but to keep the order open so that a delivery could eventually be made to Stockton, 1 hour closer to me. They agreed. Then, on the night of 11/19/2025, I received an email "confirming" the tree delivery to the Sacramento hotel the following morning! There was no way to reach the driver to cancel. The phone lines to Plants Express were closed for the day. I had no idea whether the trees would simply be dropped off while the hotel staff wondered what the heck it was all about. Ultimately, I had to pay a friend to spend 5 hours of her life trying to get these dumb trees which should not have been delivered there in the first place. Then, she wasn't able to lift them into her SUV so it was all for nothing. I then had to spend another 5 hours of my time the following day, renting a trailer to go get them myself. Mind you, I already had a free truck and trailer available to me on the original 11/13 date. What a fiasco. I called to complain and got a very nice but non-helpful gentleman who said that the gal who was responsible and could help make it right was out but she'd call me back. Nope. No call back at all. no refund. no reimbursement of my time, the rented trailer, nothing. My "free" delivery cost me $400 and 10 unnecessary hours of time. What a deal.
