A wonderful group of instructors who really build strong relationships with their students—more like a family.My daughter has been attending for many years, and it’s the only hobby she’s consistently stuck with, so they’re obviously doing something right.

Phoenix Martial Arts in Knottingley is…
Phoenix Martial Arts in Knottingley is absolutely fantastic. My youngest son joined first for kickboxing, then my eldest daughter started karate and before long my middle son didn’t want to be left out and now I’ve joined too! It’s so much more than just a martial arts school. It’s a real community. There is always something going on, the teachers are brilliant and really supportive and everyone is made to feel welcome. We love being part of it.

Lovely set of instructors, they really build up a great relationship with their pupils more like a family.My daughter has been going for numerous years and has been the only consistent hobby she’s taken up so there obviously doing something right.

My son has been at Phoenix Martial Arts for nearly a year now and loves it. Teaching him a great set of skills and good discipline. All teachers are brilliant with the children and are very patient when trying to learn new skills. Would highly recommend.

Amazing Martial Arts Academy!!
George has been attending Phoenix for over 4 years now. All the instructors are amazing and really inspire the children. We have noticed a massive difference in George since attending, he is more focused and absolutely loves attending!!

The instructors are amazing—knowledgeable, patient, and truly dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential. The classes are well-structured, fun, and challenging, keeping the kids engaged and motivated. I've seen a significant improvement in their physical fitness and mental focus. The positive and supportive atmosphere makes it a great place for kids to learn and grow. Phoenix martial arts is amazing for all the family, they focus on the development of yourself and help you get fit doing it, when you get to a higher belt it really tests your fitness levels and you can see the progression

Friendly, supportive and highly skilled.
My son absolutely loves his Karate lessons. He's been attending for 3 years now and his dedication continues to grow due to the friendly, supportive and highly skilled nature of the sessions and his instructors. The sessions not only help to develop his abilities, but also his confidence and awareness of key issues such as mental health, self defence and anti bullying. I cannot speak highly enough of Phoenix and would recommend them for anyone looking to start or continue their martial arts journey.

We love Phoenix!My son has been attending for over 2 years now and really enjoys it. His confidence has improved immeasurably along with his ability to listen and follow instructions. The leaders are fantastic and there is a real sense of community.

Fantastic! 100% recommend
Myself and my two children train at Phoenix. I go to the ladies sessions and my boys go to both the 4 - 8 and 8 - 14 children’s kickboxing. We’ve the classes, it so well organised and we have lots of fun as well as learning kickboxing! The instructors are fantastic and are brilliant with the kids. I would 100% recommend!

One of my sons 5 at the time is quite hyper active hence wanting him to start martial arts as it is meant to be good for hyper active kids with ADHD. We paid for a private session for all of my 4 kids after an in class trial didn’t work out for my adhd son.My hyperactive son moves a lot and is easily distracted. ‘Master of no manners’ who is the owner, the elderly guy, found it worthy of shouting from across the room ‘ I WANT HIM OUT OF MY SCHOOL RIGHT NOW!!‘ After reading the previous review about unequal and unfair treatment depending on who you are, I am convinced that we were treated differently ( I wear a headscarf )Thankfully we found Chi Combat System. They were happy to welcome my son. Highly recommend them! All my children train there and they love it. I do not recommend sending any child to Phoenix Martial Arts. They are not helpful, no patience, not welcoming, zero manners whatsoever, actually quite laughable! His picture is on the website so don’t try to deny that it didn’t happen!!!
