The classes were manageable but inconsistent

The coursework was manageable with a work schedule. The one area that I found frustrating was the inconsistency in grading, expectations, and feedback from different instructors. This is why I would not be able to give it 5 stars. Some instructors cared about deadlines, while others did not deduct points from the grade for a late assignment. Expectations from instructors were laid out in the generic syllabus provided by the University, but some instructors would add value to it with further instructions, which made you feel more engaged in the class, like the instructor was there with you. The feedback is definitely an area that could use some work. I know there were assignments that I could have done better on, subjects that I struggled to understand, and I'm sure my assignment reflected that, but the feedback felt generic. It provided no insight into my mistakes or the areas where I did well. And then the flip side, where I feel like I am being graded adequately for my work, I have to double down my efforts to earn the 'A' grade, which undoubtedly improved my comprehension of the subject. Overall, the experience was amazing; these minor inconsistencies were difficult to navigate, but I still felt as though I earned the degree.

Poor Financial Dept. Misleading failing to provide information

The classes and professors themselves are amazing! The financial dept however I am not too fond of. From my personal experience they gaslit me for 3 years utilizing only the financial aid they needed to fulfill my tuition and expenses. They rest of the funding which was available to me they sent back to the lender. I reached out approx 17 times trying to get this resolved and gotten no answers. I never got my COA either and even asked 7 times please send to me! Recently I requested a complete breakdown of my COA to figure it out myself and crunch some numbers once I asked for this they inform me that I have funding sitting in my account but have to change my loans on the portal which I did and they processed it however they are holding the excess funding instead of releasing it so I can take care of my own obligations to continue to my schooling such as Internet and rent which I am in jeopardy of losing March 1st because I have been struggling doing this all alone for years. It's exhausting and taking a toll on my mental health and going to start affecting my grades. I'm not too happy with their financial dept.

Staff doesn’t care at all

Staff doesn’t care at all. They jump to make excuses for teachers bad behavior. Quick to point fingers at students and create write ups.

Sent to collections without providing a chance

I am deeply disappointed in how my recent situation was handled by University of Phoenix.I have completed my entire higher education with this institution — my bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees — and was actively working toward my PhD before deciding to pause my studies. As a federal employee, the current uncertainty surrounding job stability led me to take a temporary break. It was not a decision I made lightly, but one based on financial caution and professional stress.Shortly after being notified of a balance for one class, I contacted the university within a week to request a payment plan. Instead of working with me, my account was sent to collections almost immediately and without any meaningful warning. I was not given a reasonable opportunity to resolve the balance directly with the school. After years of loyalty, tuition payments, and academic commitment, I felt completely blindsided. I expected at minimum a conversation or structured repayment option before being escalated to collections. This experience has left me feeling betrayed. Institutions should support long-standing students, especially those who proactively reach out to make payment arrangements. I hope the university reevaluates how quickly accounts are sent to collections and implements more transparent communication and reasonable timelines for repayment.

My experience with the University of…

My experience with the University of Phoenix has been positive overall. The programs are structured in a way that supports working professionals, and the online platform is user-friendly and easy to navigate. I especially appreciate the flexibility of the coursework, which has allowed me to balance my MBA studies with full-time leadership responsibilities. The instructors are generally knowledgeable and responsive, and the curriculum is practical and applicable to real-world business and healthcare operations. I have been able to immediately apply concepts from my courses to my professional role, which adds significant value to the program. One area that could continue to improve is communication consistency across administrative departments, but overall the university provides strong support for adult learners seeking career advancement.

My experience at the University of…

My experience at the University of Phoenix has been overwhelmingly positive, and I’m proud to give it a solid 4‑star rating. As a working adult balancing multiple responsibilities, I’ve really appreciated the flexibility, structure, and support the university provides. The online learning format is organized, intuitive, and designed for real‑world success. The instructors I’ve had were knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely invested in student growth. They provided meaningful feedback that helped me improve my writing, communication, and critical‑thinking skills. I also appreciated how each course connected directly to practical, career‑focused outcomes rather than just theory. The University of Phoenix creates an environment where motivated students can thrive. The resources — from the online library to tutoring and academic support — are easy to access and actually useful. I’ve also enjoyed the sense of community in discussion boards and group assignments, which made the online experience feel more personal.

My experience at the university of phoenix

My experience at the university of Phoenix has been a blend of learning, growth, and social interactions. School life isn’t just about hitting books; it’s a vibrant chapter filled with learning, friendships, challenges, and personal growth. I believe my school experiences shape me into who I am today, helping me develop vital skills and memories that last a lifetime. Whether it’s the thrill of acing a favorite subject or the lessons learned from mistakes, every moment counts. So, with the experience it makes school life such an important phase. It's the combination of academic pursuits, character building, social interactions, and discovering who I really am. I’m excited to share my personal journey through school experience life. I navigated through highs and lows, learned valuable lessons, and grew into a confident individual. In my school experience in journey there are mixtures of learning, fun, frustration, triumph, and growth. It sculpted my personality and prepared me for future challenges. If I had to give one piece of advice, it would be cherishing every moment, learning from your mistakes, and never stop growing. Best RegardsRosie Pounds
