Assaulted knocked to floor by Oulton Road Fish & Chip shop new ownerOur family and neighbours have been using Oulton Road fish and chip shop for a very long time now and been amazed at the great quality food plus friendly services by staff and owners in the past. But not so long ago i walked in, the new manager was standing with his arms folded. I approached the counter in a normal friendly manner and asked for some chips.I even said please. The new owner (who I now know to be a Turkish person, male) started shouting at me in a angry, abusive rude voice telling me to get out.I was shocked and asked why? and why are you talking to me in this manner, I have done nothing wrong I've just walked in and asked for chips in a polite manner.He started shouting and swearing again at me, telling me to get out so i turned and walked out, I didn't know at the time, but the owner followed me out and soon as i was outside the shop, he hit me, knocking me to the ground. Yes you read that correct, he hit me for no reason knocking me to the ground and roughly grabbed me dragging me to my feet and went to hit me again, for a second time but he stopped short of striking me for a second time. I was gob-smacked what had just happened.I just don't know why, all I did, was walked in as any normal polite customer would and was verbally abused and assaulted by this man when outside.The police was called, and he told the police his CCTV don't work so no recording was available. Lucky for me, the police went next door who had aCCTV camera in use, which covered outside the shops area. And was available to the police. But when the police went to see the owner again, no doubt to arrest him they could not find him. He ran out and to the de niro's kebab shop next door which is also run by his Turkish friends. He had gone into hiding. He has only been there for 7 months. And had many problems arguing with customers being rude to them. Terrible fish and chip shop owner. This place has really gone down-hill since this person took over. As this assault is on going i wish to stay Anonymous (so used the name Joe) for now while the police search for this evil, violent new manager. I posted this review to make people aware of the crazy person's physical and verbal out-bursts.
