Worse than useless.
I used the OTTO website and input ALL the information they asked for, including that my current insurer is Allstate. After entering everything, they came back not with a quote, but a link to Allstate. I then tried to call OTTO at the number posted in two places on their page. The call could not be connected. I found another number for OTTO and called one of their reps. I explained everything to her, gave her all the same information, and told her I wanted to get away from Allstate. That was my whole intent. She told me she would connect me with Liberty Mutual. I was connected and the lady on the other end informed me that she was with ALLSTATE, NOT LIBERTY MUTUAL! Additionally, the OTTO lady told me they would not share or sell my information, but I told her that immediately after entering my information the first time, I received a text message from a Farmer's agent and a follow up phone call. I did not go to OTTO to be misdirected and spammed and will not do business with them in the future.

Otto's ads might look legit online, but they're really just a lead form site. They act as a middleman to collect your personal info, sell it to other insurance companies, and get you spammed with endless calls and emails

Almost got sucked in. They explain in their BBB poor reviews that they "contact carriers," not sell insurance. Then if they are not an INSURANCE company, why do they call themselves "Otto Insurance"? Total deception.

I visited several websites to obtain a car auto quote for my granddaughter and found OTTO insurance by far the easiest and most compensating site of all that I visited. It was easy to apply, and I found a policy that works for us immediately. I will definitely recommend this site to friends and family.

They just collected data from me and NEVER actually gave me a car insurance quote! It looks like some folks behind a nefarious scam! What this OTTO Quotes site does is after they collect your personal data, you are directed to (you "select" from a number of insurance sites)-for example, GEICO and then the data process begins again! Who knows what these people do with all the personal infromation they collect. Florida is KNOWN for lots of shady business operations...I once lived in South Florida and it is not a pleasant state to live in. The beaches are their saving grace. The state of Florida has one of the highest car insurance rates in the USA!

Just like so many other reviewers experience OTTO is a waste of time. Basically they collect your personal data then sell it to other companies. After entering your personal details you'll be redirected to as many other redirect sites you care to be strung along for. After getting redirected 5 times I received quotes which were substantially higher than my present rate.

It is a scam. They run their ad on Facebook and advertise auto premiums like $38/month full coverage. After getting all your auto and personal info they simply redirect you to Progressive, Liberty, etc. Those guys will easily charge $200 to 250/month

Misrepresented the entire experience. The add claims that they got rid of the middle man to save money. Then I've got a message from an Allstate insurance agent(!?) who is exactly a middle man! AND the quote was almost $100 MORE per month compared to what I'm paying right now. 😭
