Haven't seen my Amazon reward yet

Did a chat survey back in April.....have several emails from 'Dina C' saying I would get sent a $35 Amazon gift code as a reward for my participation, yet here it is 6 weeks later and still NOTHING from them. After reading numerous reviews, I guess at this point I can probably kiss that $35 away. My belief is that ALL survey hosts and providers scam their users.....they reject us yet keep the money or points WE should have gotten. At this point with being regularly rejected after starting a survey, I figure these sites are now using click-bait methods to make their money, reject us, but they take not only the money they're to be paid, but also take our money. These sites are mostly run by people in India or elsewhere in SE/SW Asia and that part of the world is notorious for scamming unsuspecting members of society, whether it happens to you in person on the streets of Bangkok or via the Internet, it happens

Not worth the time!

I've been on this consumer site for some time now (2005ish?) and have noticed in the past two years a massive decrease in the number of surveys you are allowed to take plus customer satisfaction when taking online surveys - that is, when you aren't kicked off the survey halfway through for no reason, or has a broken link, or just does not let you start the survey full stop. Also of note is building up rewards - it takes you a lot longer to build up to the minimum £20 (which is now only a Paypal credit when it used to be shopping vouchers when you got to increments of £10). And, similar to others on here, I am missing many rewards that have not been credited and that's why today I've cancelled my membership. More hassle than it's worth! Avoid at all costs - and the rewards are poor in comparison to the surveys offered and in comparison to other online consumer survey websites.

Worthless, time-wasting s ite

Several invites per day, not one penny received from any of them. Most galling is their failure to honour the £30 incentive offered for an online discussion on the subject of Body Pain, taken early October with an assurance the 'reward' would be credited by the end of the month.

Complete waste of time avoid

Another site a complete waste of time. For the 3rd time now in a row i went to join a 1 hour live online discussion forum to be told that all places had been filled straight. How can they be filled when i clicked straight away. Did was asked before start filled all info before start. Waiting for the timer to reach zero clicked and all spaces filled. What a surprise. Fraud and deception of a company. Wont bother next time. See other people have the same issue with this nonsense. They never respond to emails

Time Wasters!

They sent 20 reminder e-mails (from Jess), that included tbe text below, on the day of the fixed appointment. I set aside the time (an hour + the 15 mins instructed). Note the word " ensure" at the 15 minute point I was told that I would be able to enter details 7 minutes before start. I did this then had to wait to the appointed time to join. I immediatly joined and was amazed to be told that all places had been filled - this is an impossibility, I have written but am not expecting a response, looking at previous reviews here. I won't be dealing with Opinionbar again!Dear Sir/Madam,We recently got in touch to let you know you are selected to participate in our online discussion about body pain. This is a reminder that the session will start soon. The online platform will be open 15 minutes before the session. Please note that we only have space for the first 80 participants. To ensure your spot, please join the session via the link.

Pretty much a scam

I'm sure someone out there can earn some sort of money on this site, so it's not an entire scam, but for me, it pretty much worked out like a scam. They lured me in with "free $5", a simple survey that took less than 5 minutes. There was a big long list of surveys I "qualified" for after that, each worth $1-4, simple, right? The rewards (mostly gift cards) started at $10, so all I needed was $5 after that, so I figured I'd just try a couple of surveys. After taking a few, I was frustrated that most surveys would waste 5 minutes each before telling you you didn't *actually* qualify--they were more like "pre-surveys" that would collect all your info, but some part of your demographic wasn't correct after all. I took about 8 of these, trying all sorts of answers, but usually the answers that would actually allow you to take the rest of the survey were so specific (looking for you to have refinanced your mortgage through a particular company or own a particular brand of hybrid vehicle) that you'd waste a lot of time getting through half the survey and then getting rejected. Finally almost got one, and then was told "quota was filled". Why have it in the list, then?? I refreshed the list and had taken it as soon as offered, and filled it out fast; I also qualified for that one. Complete frustrated but I'm stubborn, so I kept trying to qualify out of principle. I finally got into one where you had to watch several ads. The questions were ENDLESS. I mean literally, for each ad (and there were at least 3 I got through), there were probably over 50 questions, many repetitive, and THEN to top it off, they ask you the SAME questions AGAIN, I think to test if you were paying attention the first time while answering questions like "Does this ad make you trust the company more or less?", "Does this ad make you want to recommend this to friends?", "Does this ad make you like this company more or less?", etc. I got almost to the entire end… Wasted more than half an hour on this one survey alone, only to get the message "You have violated the terms of this survey and no longer qualify for it." WHAT??! I didn't do anything to violate anything and I tried my best to answer honestly on everything, but at the end I got tired and started clicking similar answers, and when they started repeating again, I can't remember exactly what I clicked the first time, so the answers probably did not match for quality control. They made it sound like I was a hacker and violated some serious rule, and gave me no points at all for that half hour that I wasted watching ads and answering questions. To top it off, they deleted the other $5 I had in the balance! All-in-all, I wasted more than an hour on that stupid site (I forgot that I got stopped on another survey due to technical problems with the server, and had to report that). Never again. Don't you fall for it either.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful, took part in an online discussion and was told I'd get a Amazon voucher in return. No replies received from my communications to them. Disgusting company who waste people's times in guise of pretending they will reward them for completing surveys/discussions.

Do not waste your time

An actual SCAM, like the person below I have now taken part in two discussions and received no payment, I am owed £40. They send you a million emails reminding you about the discussion but do not reply to any of your emails after. Not one. They owe me £40 for the time put in but kept for themselves. A scam, can't believe they are still allowed to call themselves a company at this point. They're literal fraudsters.

I signed up at Opinion bar to do online…Surveys for a little extra $$

I signed up at Opinion bar to do online surveys for a little extra money. I would take the time to complete a survey only to keep getting disqualified. After seeing the negative reviews on opinion bar, I will be cancelling my account and never go on that site again. Awful website and a scam. thanks for the heads up.
