Parts cost were 3 times highest prices I could find online.

Called Olympus to replace 1 broken spring on 2 car garage door. Tech arrived did inspection and told me both springs should be replaced to keep load even and the cable drums should be replaced due to wear. Made sense so I agreed. However, we were billed $2,233. Parts were $700 per spring and $250 per drum for total $1,900. I reseached the parts online and cost for highest end parts I found was $650 or $1,250 less than we were charged. Should have done done research ahead of time. Also had issues with work performed and communication. Highly recommend staying away from Olympus!!!

Thieves and Liars

I had a chain that came unscrewed, was not even broken. They sent this stupid kid over, he didn't even bring a ladder to look at anything, said the opener needed to be replaced, no less than $500, and that he would have to inspect the spring mechanism at $379 to see if it was okay. Said the door was unsafe to use and that he would need to start the next day. He then charged me $69 for his visit and never sent the promised estimate when I refused to okay the work. The next day, I called a professional who came over, reattached the chain, calibrated everything, and charged me $85 for his work, not the $1000+ these thieves were asking.

Scam

BS company.. advertise 24x7 emergency service - mom called them Friday cuz garage door not working.. they wanted 1500$ to replace springs, cables, rollers on a single small garage door.. No testing first of the actual problem (just replace everything). And $1500 is about double for 'high' price plus an emergency fee. On pushing tech finally came down to 1k to do rollers/springs and cables. Door was used one time and it's broken again (goes down most of the way and then pops back up).. And now that it's warranty they don't have time to visit (and are trying to blame the sensor). And if you want to complain, they have no global google map or facebook location.

Olympus grossly overprices their services

When we purchased our home in Santa Clarita, the garage door stopped working. We hired Olympus to repair the springs (one had broken). They charged us way over the typical cost (as we subsequently found out), and the same for a new motor. Several thousand later, our door was working again. Their work was fine, but their price was double what most other companies would have charged. So be careful if you hire them. Get competitive bids first.

Technician promised more than he…

Technician promised more than he delivered. Women and seniors beware.Pros:1. This was the only company that responded to my inquiry about replacing garage door springs.2. Technician (Joseph) came out that day for an estimate. Ultimately, replacing 70 year old door was more cost effective than repairing it.3. Technician scheduled the replacement for a day and time that was ideal for my availability.4. Estimate included moving things out of and back into the garage to create room to work.5. Estimate included hauling away the old door.CONS:1. Technician did not provide a written service contract. Assured me the company would send a receipt via email or mail, "whatever you want." Still no receipt.2. Technician was a no-show on day of replacement. Joseph's company name doesn't turn up on web searches.3. Discovered that the phone number on the Olympus company website doesn't work. However, an employee replied promptly to a message sent via their scheduling tool. (Pro: The emailed message included a working phone number.)4. Technician phoned to reschedule for the next day (not convenient with my work schedule) claiming that he needed to send TWO guys to do the job. 5. Technician said they would arrive by 9:30am. No show again. Called company. Technician called and said he had promised arrival by 11am. (This 3-hour job now would not be completed before I left for work.)6. Only ONE installer (Mike) arrived. My son and I helped move things out of the garage.7. Door was installed by 12:30pm. However, he left everything in the driveway for us to put away.8. Installer refused to remove old door at that time and promised to return between 5-7pm to remove it. NO SHOW.9. Multiple calls and emails to company over the next three days. Company said haul-away is usually an additional charge but backed down when I told the rep that it had been included in the total charge.10. Technician called to tell me, "don't worry, we'll take care of it." Multiple calls later, old door was still leaning against the house and rusty metal parts were still on the ground. I finally put those parts in my recycling can.A week later, Joseph and Mike are still no-shows for removing the old door. Olympus only says they'll "contact the technician." And I (60+yo woman) am left to deal with their refusal to complete the job.

Company is committing fraud

Company is committing fraud. Do NOT do business with them. Try to over charge by 5-6 times cost of other companies. Also refused to refund deposit which was written on contact as fully refundable

Attention: Do Not Do Business

Attention:Do not do business with this company. They are a complete scam.In April, we hired them to repair our garage door. After the technician left, we discovered that our deep freezer had been turned off, resulting in the loss of all the meat we had stored. To make matters worse, the garage door was never fixed. We made multiple calls requesting that they return to complete the repair, but they never responded. The only time they replied was when my bank reached out after I disputed the charge. Despite that, the company never contacted us directly, never came back to fix the issue, and I did not receive a refund. This business is dishonest and unprofessional. Save yourself the trouble—do not use this company.

Torsion spring broke

Torsion spring broke. Wound up in a sticky situation whereby I could not raise my 2 car garage door. My neighbor and I tried to raise the door but to no avail. My door is wood covered in aluminum. Called Olympus and a man named Matt arrived in less than an hour. quoted me 375.00 for service call plus parts. Thinking 375.00 was fair since I was in a predicament and he arrived quickly I thought I should proceed. I then asked how much for parts. His reply was "Not Much". When he finished he charged me 900.00! I asked why parts were so expensive. His reply was they only use the very highest quality springs. Feeling better about getting out of an emergency I paid the man. I asked for his card. He did not have one. Asked for a receipt. Did not have one. Had to call main office TWICE to get my invoice. After doing some research I found my springs online for 135.00!! He charged me 525.00! Buyers Beware!!!!

STAY AWAY FROM OLYMPUS GARAGE AND GATES

STAY AWAY FROM OLYMPUS GARAGE AND GATESOn March 31, 2025, I paid a $1,350 deposit through a one-page payment link (with no terms or conditions shown) for a garage screen door installation. I canceled the order 14 hours later on April 1, 2025, at 8:15 AM.Despite the cancellation, Olympus refused to return my deposit. When I disputed the charge through Capital One, they initially credited me back, but then reversed the refund after Olympus submitted a false 5-page document that included terms I had never seen and a fabricated claim that they had “completed the job to my satisfaction.” No work was done at all.Capital One is now telling me I need proof that Olympus accepted the cancellation. Olympus claims they don’t have the money and blames the bank, while still refusing to issue a refund.Bottom line: I paid, canceled quickly, received nothing, and am still out $1,350. Be very cautious — in my experience, this business is not transparent and does not honor cancellations fairly.

Stay away from this company

When their subcontractor, John, came to my house, he took a quick look at the garage door job and quoted an astronomical price. When I said we would think about it, he then tried to verbally bully me into accepting the price and having him start the work immediately. I, again, turned him down. He then yelled that I was wasting his time and that I needed to pay for the estimate visit. I refused, (it was a free estimate) and told him to leave the property, that he was officially tresspassing. John was furious, showing it openly. I proceeded to go back into my home and locked the doors. Verbal abuse will not be tolerated. He was lucky I didn't call the police.

Found this company online

Found this company online, they send two guys( they told they are Israeli but they are definitely not) from 317 Garage. They didn’t give a quote and started to work on our garage door spring. Were trying to add more unnecessary things to existing job. I watched them work closely, they are not professionals at all. Paid at least half more than it should cost. Glad that I was home or they would try to bill my wife much more. No guarantee, they left a useless piece of paper with a company name, no address, nothing.

Fraudsters!!! Don't pay. Let the police come and you can get their true identity. Wish I had done this.

Contacted Olympus, which appeared to be a local company. They sent someone from 317 Garage. Learned Olympus is based out of CA and 317 is based out of GA. Was told Olympus services IL, IN, and WI. Worker showed up with a Tacoma truck that had Iowa license plates. Was charged for unnecessary repairs at inflated prices, and we also have a new issue--a gap around and at the bottom of our door. Was charged almost $3,000, a 5% credit card fee (cash was the only other option) and a small fee to text me the card receipt. He requested my Driver's License in exchange for the work order, which I refused---finally he gave it to me after I threatened to call the police. He refused any proof of being licensed, bonded, insured, which website claims. Man identified himself as "Daniel Much," which is likely a fake name. At one point, he'd left to get a part, during which time I contacted Olympus with questions as I was growing suspicious and was hung up on... Fraud report filed, police contacted.

Scammers/swindlers

I had called Olympus Sunday, March 30th about my door spring breaking on my garage door me never having a garage door not knowing how things work call them since the quote was supposed to be a free inspection so it’s said the gentleman came to my house never told me his name and proceeded to inspect the broken door spring again me never having a garage door not knowing how things work or happen. Proceeds to undo the door spring, and my cables after telling me that a new door spring would be $700. I told him I don’t have the money for that right now while after that proceeded to continue taking the door apart, I asked him multiple times. Is this part of the free inspection and he kept telling me yes it is after about 30 minutes later I asked him is this going to cost me and he said well yes I’m doing all this work after that, I told him you told me it would be a free inspection and now you’re charging me $200 for something I didn’t ask you to do besides an inspection. The gentleman was extremely rude after I told him I don’t have the money for this right now. It was supposed to be free. Why are you charging me then proceeded to tell me we can go to your ATM and you can get me the money out that you owe me. I really don’t understand how a free inspection costed me $200 for something I never approved and to be threatened by the individual working for them while he also rudely was taking pictures of my home. Now I’m out $200 and 45 minutes of time which I could’ve used for someone who is more trustworthy than Olympus garage door repairs

Absolutely terrible experience!

Absolutely terrible experience!! It was a stressful situation already with our garage door sticking since winter; called for help-made the mistake of trusting Olympus Garage Door Albion; got ripped off for $20; PLUS took 30 minutes to get the guy to stop harassing me and leave! No joke, not kidding at all! He had absolutely NO IDEA what was wrong (by his own admission) but insisted first that we had to redo the entire installation (it's worked beautifully for over 5 years exactly as it's installed) then fixated on replacing parts that were not broken or worn (said “I don’t know” when I asked him to show me where they were broken our worn), then tried to play the price is right game despite my continued “NO I don’t want you to do anything” and kept exclaiming that he was "trying to help me"! He just would not stop and would not leave! I called the company to complain, they rushed me off the phone and the supervisor never returned my call! I wish I had read the reviews prior... just glad I'm only out $20 and 30 minutes of my time (which I want BACK!)... other people lost hundreds, even thousands!!

This is a total scam from the website to the workers to the customer service department. Over charge, and charge to use a credit card. I think it may be a money laundrying situation for every location.

I am a properties manager at a church and needed a garage door repaired. I would stay away from this company. The shady business practices after the repair were questionable. We need proof of insurance and a W2 for contractors and what they provided is suspect. The repair also seemed very costly. I only wish I would have done my research before calling them. The techs were very hard to understand as English was not spoken very well. Do not use this company. Also tried to bill more than what I approved.
