I’m a little biased, but Candice Redman really delivered on her message for all women. The decorations were inspiring and so cute. The food was so yummy, and the vendors were amazingly congenial and diverse. We had so much fun!!!
The women were very welcoming and great to chat with. I feel like I could fit into this group as I am newer to the area and have been trying to find good networking opportunities.
Really could have been a great event, but a $75 ticket for soggy chicken salad served from plastic serving containers??? It seemed like all the money from ticket sales went to videography, for each of the 4 women who spoke, as they danced their ways to the front of the room. THEN SHUT DOWN THE BAR while they were speaking (prob because the venue was a dump and any bar noise would have made it difficult to hear them speaking, which wouldn’t have been a bad thing). The final speaker, after 30 full minutes of the other divas speaking, tried to make a cute little drinking game out of her time speaking, encouraging everyone to ‘take a sip’ every time she said ‘community’. Well, honey, the bar had been closed, without any notice or heads up before they ordered us to sit down and listen, so NO ONE had a drink to toast. I even attempted to purchase a drink from the bar TWICE and was rudely turned away. I allowed the speaker to finish before I left, hungry, really put off by the whole ‘keeping up with the Jones’ energy of the whole affair, and I’ll prob never attend another event.

Personally, it has given me the opportunity to connect with women working to grow not just their business, but to also increase their circle of friends. as well.
