I got much more than I expected from The Henselmans PT Course. It gives a Truly scientific and research-based knowledge, with a focus on practical application as well. It is a really great learning experience. This course was the best choice I could have made. Thank you!
Learning from Menno is like one of your close friends, who's also the smartest, studied Exercise science in depth for a couple of decades and is now telling you all about it, logically and comprehensively. The structuring and flow of the Course is magnificent. Programming my training and nutrition Menno's way has changed my life, helped me manage my auto-immune better. I am forever grateful to him, wish i had found him earlier!
Well-structured course with high-quality evidence-based information. I learned a ton new things and the provided material is a huge resource that can be used indefinitely. A great investment for anyone aspiring to become a personal trainer.
The Henselmans PT Course is hands down the best personal trainer certification I’ve taken. It goes far beyond memorizing facts and forces you to actually understand the fundamentals of training, nutrition, recovery, and program design. The exam and final program submission reward reasoning, not dogma, and the course constantly emphasizes real world applicability, critical thinking, and adjustment based on outcomes. If you want an evidence based certification that genuinely improves how you think as a coach, not just another credential, this is it.
An excellent course, met my expectations. Far more useful and in depth than your typical PT course.
I took this course as an introduction into the science behind fitness and it was much more than I could have imagined. I am absolutely pleased with this course. I feel more confident in the gym and can probably teach some PTs a thing or two.
Overall, I found the course valuable and informative. It includes a substantial amount of useful content, along with numerous references to high-quality scientific research, which is especially appreciated. The lectures are fairly comprehensive, supported by graphs, images, and visual materials, and the course generally provides solid coverage of bodybuilding-related topics such as nutrition, sleep, hormones, and physiology. That said, the course has some significant shortcomings. The PDF materials, in particular, are often poorly structured, consisting of large, unorganized blocks of text with an unclear logical flow, which makes them difficult to follow without external assistance. Additionally, despite being titled Personal Trainer, the course offers limited or very superficial coverage of several essential areas, including cardiovascular training, strength training focused on maximal strength, VO₂ max and other key fitness and aging biomarkers, mobility and flexibility, as well as rehabilitation and injury prevention. Finally, the lack of consistent structure and visual design across PDFs, videos, and presentations negatively impacts the learning experience. Given the price of the course, a more cohesive, well-organized, and professionally designed curriculum would be expected.
Impressively comprehensive! I wanted to nerd out about exercise science and I got soo much more than I expected, which was already a lot after seeing Menno's free content. Highly recommended, but only if you are very serious about learning this stuff. This is not a casual program!
Amazing in every way. The course is set up in a way so that you learn the fundamentals of a topic, then tackle the more complex areas, and finally you see the practical application of all the knowledge you have gathered. In the end, with deep understanding and practical knowledge of all the important subjects about training, nutrition and lifestyle factors and a bunch of other topics, you come out of the course a well rounded and and educated individual pertaining to anything health and fitness.
Thank you so much for the course - I truly appreciated it.It was a fascinating 10-month adventure, and I'm even sad to see it end. This course is excellent. Not only does it cover all the necessary information, from statistics to the intricacies of sports programs for any level, but it also covers nutrition, supplements, biochemistry, healthy sleep, self-monitoring, and various types of training in detail. I was also impressed that the program covers skin health and sports injuries. This course helps you stay on track in today's deluge of overwhelming and sometimes poorly-considered information. This is exactly what you need!I say this as someone who has been involved in physical fitness almost my entire life, with experience in changing my weight by 30 percent in various ways, and, ultimately, as a doctor. Furthermore, the course helped me further study English (I also have Russian and Finnish) and build my small Instagram blog.I recommend Menno's course to everyone! I'm sure you won't regret it. And I continue my journey with new knowledge and a sense of solidarity!
This course is one of the most thorough and intellectually honest fitness education programs I’ve taken. It goes far beyond memorization and teaches you how to think critically, evaluate research, and apply principles in real-world coaching scenarios. The material is nuanced, practical, and refreshingly free of industry dogma. If you want a science-based course that actually improves your programming, decision-making, and coaching confidence, this is absolutely worth it.ShannonNSCA-CPT, CSCS
After searching for many different PT training course alternatives I chose this one because Menno is truly evidenced based — many of his views are new and surprising but entirely based on science and logic. I was moved by how well-taught the course is and by how much time Menno devotes to answering questions; he is kind and patient and answers all questions thoroughly, either in written response or in person at one of the monthly online Q&A meetings. I cannot recommend this course highly enough. It is one of the best investments into my health and wellness I have ever made. I can now also help my patients and students, so my newfound knowledge may help thousands of folks in coming years. Thank you Menno!
Bayesian is truly an amazing personal and professional experience if you are deeply interested in training and nutrition science. The quality of the course is remarkable. Thanks to its committed teaching team, I think we can all agree that we experienced a very nerdy, but also fun year all together as sport science lovers.
The course was amazing, highlights:1. It’s very clearly evidence based (lots of references to studies). There’s so much info on nutrition & training out there, much of it contradictory, so it’s hard to separate proven evidence based info from bs. If I had infinite time I’d read all the studies, however I don’t, so finding someone who does and puts the info together into structured modules is … well just the best.2. You can ask questions in the learning platform (even if you’re behind on the modules and Menno answered them typically within 24h). The monthly live Q&As and one in person meetup were also great.3. It’s practical, Menno does a great job taking the science and breaking it down to the practical and simple way to use it. I’ve changed what I do in the gym quite a lot based on the course (I’m not a coach but have been lifting recreationally for several years). My only regret is that I didn’t find this course sooner.
That was a very deep course on both nutrition and training. Serious studying needed, I've spent so many hours learning the material. And to get the certificate, you really need not only to understand the little details on a fundamental level but also be able to apply it in real life.
An incredibly comprehensive and empowering courseI took my time before writing this review because I wanted to truly reflect on my experience and see how the knowledge held up in real-life application. The more I continue studying, speaking with other trainers, and comparing different methodologies, the more I realize just how complete and well-structured the Menno Henselmans PT course is.Throughout the course, I felt both challenged and deeply supported. The evidence-based approach, clear explanations, and practical applications gave me not only knowledge but real confidence in my capacity as a coach. This wasn’t just about learning formulas or protocols—it was about truly understanding the why behind each decision in programming, nutrition, and client work. Now, as I move forward in my career, I feel empowered and well-equipped to support my clients with intelligence, care, and integrity. I’m deeply grateful for the depth and quality of this course. It’s hands down one of the best investments I’ve made in my professional development.Highly recommended for anyone serious about being a top-tier coach.
i enrolled in the Henselmans PT course with high expectations, and while I couldn’t commit to the full plan, I still gained a wealth of knowledge from the chapters I completed. The course materials are structured, science-based, and well-explained, making complex topics easy to understand and apply. One of the highlights for me was the ability to get clear, research-backed answers to my questions, which added real value to my learning. Additionally, the free content shared on Henselmans’ Instagram is excellent—it reinforces the course concepts and provides ongoing insights into training and nutrition. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I couldn’t fully experience the structured learning path due to my own time constraints. However, I’m planning to retake the course this year because I strongly believe in Henselmans’ approach to exercise science. If you’re looking for a program that prioritizes evidence-based fitness education, this course is definitely worth considering.
Despite the fact that I've been in fitness since 2012 and it's hard to surprise me with anything, this course really impressed me - especially with its structure and in-depth approach to the material. Many things I already knew, but thanks to this course I was able to look at them from a different angle and understand certain aspects better. If you are just starting out, this knowledge will be enough to change not only yourself, but also your clients. And if you have been in the fitness industry for a long time and want to update your knowledge, to look at some things in a new way, I also recommend taking this course. It will help you not only refresh your knowledge, but also learn something new that is not available in the public domain.I had doubts whether my English level would be enough, but in the end I managed and even pumped it up. Therefore, the course gave me only pluses: it improved my knowledge in training, nutrition and as a bonus, tightened my English.
The course was exactly what it seems to be and what I hoped for. Detailed, evidence-based information with cited sources. No room for bro-science.Prepare for quite a bit of studying, approx 70 pages a week. There are video lectures, too, but mostly it's necessary to read through everything. It might seem daunting, but I found it perfectly managable. Because it was absolutely worth it.Hands down, those couple months gave me more and higher quality information than five years of university.
