Not fit for human consumption
I am a recipient of their meals due to a disability where I cannot cook for myself and need meals post surgery. I just received my meals package, and after a good many meals, and a fair trial, I can officially say, that I wouldn't feed these meals to a crockodile. The meat, if you can call it that, is pressed or minced, and mostly soy, and feels like ice cream in your mouth. It literally activated my gag reflex. The gravy is clear water with cornstarch chunks or something floating in it. I had a dietician friend look at them. When weighing the meat, it was 2 oz max, and at 6-7g protein per gram there's no way their nutrition labels are correct, at 23g per meal. Including protein in the other items. Not even with soy as an ingredient in the meat. They are not edible. Not in the slightest, and I am not a picky eater. I'll eat almost anything. These meals are NOT appropriate for surgery recovery. This meal service needs to be closed.

Cancelled my meal program
Cancelled my meal program. 85% of meals are barly edible. Nutitionist left me mealless for 2 weeks...! NO heart. Customer communication is almost non-existent.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!While the food is ok,delivery is horrible. They were supposed to deliver to my apartment,on the 11th floor. They left it on the first floor,4 times in a row.I gave them ample time to fix the issue.My meals were somewhat melted each time,but this last time was warm.I had to throw out the whole order.They offered to replace the meals,why?So,I could get another melted box of food?Since I'm poor&am receiving these meals, apparently I have no real say in the delivery.Just wanted to speak my peace&warn people.DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

Homestyle Direct, hands down you're running a scam, peddling the most disgusting frozen meals I've ever encountered, and you've got the audacity to charge $9 to 10.95 for a measly 200 to 300 grams of pure misery! Your Garlic Parmesan Chicken and Rice is a stench champion, reeking like it was dredged from a sewer. The nr.12 Chicken Tenderloin Dinner Looks like vomit and smells even worse, hitting you with a rancid blast before it's even out of the package. The # 25 Creamy Garlic Shrimp A pathetic excuse for food that smells like chemical waste. And your chicken Alfredo? don't get me , the stench intensifies, seeping into my skin, hair, and soul. Half a bite in, I'm gagging as the smell oozes out of my pores, sticking around for 72 hours no matter what--three showers a day plus a sunken bath, 12 showers, and baths combined in the last three days, besides other fluids, have chugged in 3 gallons of water in the last three days hoping to flush it out, and I still feel like I swam in your toxic slop. I cook these dishes at home with fresh ingredients, and they're nothing like this garbage. It's gotta be your sketchy preservatives, cheap-ass plastic packaging, or whatever godforsaken freezing process you use--probably dunking it in a vat of regret. I reached out, and you ignored me, proving you know your product's trash. $9.95 for this? You should be paying people to endure this torture, not charging them! A restaurant serving this would be boarded up in hours, bankrupt by lunchtime. Your overpriced, stinking slop is a crime against taste buds, an insult to food and a biohazard to humanity.

Unbelievably awful food … fake meat hot pudding that bleeds into other lousy bits of a meal… they are extremely expensive for what you get and though I never spoke with them before they rushed a month supply to my home … didn’t come to my door weighed 48 pounds !!! Absurd. Then I called and asked them to stop the package that was 10-14 days away shipped by FEDERAL Express … so I had to get help to get the box to my apartment and was more then disappointed. I then called their customer service to ask for a hold on any further deliveries as I was not going to be home for a while. But of course they ignored my request and just sent another box of meals that is 14 days out and they say they have no evidence that I stopped or suspended my service. Of course they couldn’t stop the shipment either 14 days out. I’m terminating their service.

The meals were paid for 7 weeks ago, No food or word from the home style direct meals. Is there anyone doing their jobs there?
The meals were paid for 7 weeks ago, but I finally received a partial delivery last week. For what they are charging the state ( medicaid) at approximately 8 dollars a meal and the meals are too salty and nothing to rave about. Really a disappointing service. Seniors who really need this service this isn't a quality product.

Very Good Service!
They support many dietary types, Cancer, Diabetes, Gluten, Heart, and Renal. Their current Menu until June 2024 has 7 Breakfast Items. 28 different lunch/dinner Items. Their items are well packaged. They Freeze well. They bake better if you thaw them in the fridge, prior to popping them in the oven. Cover with foil for the oven. You can also use a Microwave. There are not many companies that do the meal deliver in Oklahoma. This is one of the better ones. Their customer service, is just that... customer service.
