Cancelled order
I placed an order yesterday for a dining room table that costs $240. When I got to the page where it calculates shipping costs it said $0. I figured maybe they offer free shipping if you spent a certain amount. I placed the order and received order confirmation via email. This morning, I received an email from someone at the company letting me know that they have cancelled my order as it doesn't meet the $499 minimum to ship. Nowhere on the website does it say there's a minimum, and the system let me place the order even though the total was under. I was told that they do have a delivery charge that's based on weight and the state but wasn't given an estimate or even a chance to pay the delivery charge. They just cancelled the order. I will not use this company again in the future and do not recommend it for anyone.

Big bold text on their site about price matching and best customer service are both a lie. Here's why.
Hi. they do not honor their price match policy. i asked got put on hold for an hour. waited. they came back and said no. we won't match homedepot.com ...fine, but then don't even brag about your price match policy on your site since it's a lie. they don't honor it. period.when i asked why they have it on their site, the agent (Thomas) said maybe you should buy it elsewhere. and hung up the chat on me. bad customer service . no desire for customer retention. I'LL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. and you shouldn't either. I'd be surprised if they are in business in a year with so many better options out there.

Plan on Ordering Again-Wonderful Experience
Our bathroom was leaking water for a week in our house. before it was discovered. It is adjacent to another bathroom. Well the floors had to be removed so suddenly we had no choice but to do a sudden two bathroom remodels of the 1969 decor. Of course time was an issue so anything we ordered we needed ASAP. In the past month I have ordered over 20 items from 10 different companies and I received the best customer service from Homelivingstyle. I called and spoke with Danielle and she was the greatest! It was a large and costly purchase, a Steam Shower so I was hesitant to order from just anywhere. I had researched it thoroughly and knew which brand and size I wanted and HLS had the best price, so I wanted to check to make sure I would get what I thought I was ordering. I explained to Danielle I needed it ASAP. She explained it would be coming from California and I lived in the Northeast so shipping is usually 10-14 days. This is what I heard from every company I called, also. Danielle said to contact her once I placed the order online to email her and she would call the company to get it shipped ASAP. Boy did Danielle do her job well! We had the shower at the house on day 8 and that was only because Danielle made herself available to me, the customer, and did all in her power to meet my needs. (It would have been delivered on day 6 if the freight company did not hold it on their dock for two days in New Hampshire.) Danielle never had an attitude when I contacted her on the status-just a reassuring tone and always responded to my inquiries by action and communication. I hope to purchased from HLV again as I could not have had a better experience. Most importantly, it arrived well packaged-no damage. Hopefully once assembled, plumbed and hooked up to our electric next week it will work as advertised.

Well First time using Home Living Style... Can promise I will never shop there again. I received notification that they cancelled my order and fully refunded my account. When I asked why it was cancelled they accused me of knowing the price was wrong... I was shopping for a Grandfather clock and really liked the looks of the "Harper" by Ridgeway. When I searched various sites online, the prices for this item ranged anywhere from $800 - $1,500 over roughly half a dozen different sites. So imagine my surprise when I saw the identical item offered by Home Living Style at the incredibly-inflated price of $8,900!! (which, according to the same Home Living Style catalog, was a $1,000 savings over their normal price?!?)I'm thankful that I searched around prior to making my purchase, but I can't stand the thought of how many folks out there just handed over their hard-earned money to these outrageous vultures sight-unseen!!

Long delay and poor communication, lack of urgency.
Ordered our 90inch vanity and after almost 2 weeks was told there was a defect and would only be available a month and half out. We ran into this with another vendor and similar run around. Poor communication after reaching out about possible options - finally asked for a refund - got an email within minutes with a refund invoice. Then followed up with "Let us know if you need anything" ... seems a bit backwards, but probably common practice (allowing people to order products they say are available but not... seems like industry standard, sad)Off to the next one!

Restocking fee!
Bought an entryway bench that was too small. Did not even open the box. Called for instructions to return and was told there was a 20% restocking fee that was "clearly marked" on their web site which took me some time to find! Applied to delicate items and larger items according to their website but my rectangularly shaped box weighed no more than 35 lbs. Operator said that "it's what the guys at the warehouse charge to retrieve and return the item from the high shelving". The restocking fee amounts to $80 of my hard-earned money! Buyer beware! I've shopped online at Pottery Barn, Home Decorators, Wayfair, Hayneedle and others and have never been charged a restocking fee!

My first order was placed September 9th and I am still waiting...........the product arrived with manufacturing issues. Bubbles on the surface of the cabinet due to poor adhesive work and there where pieces of the veneer missing (not in the box so product shipped that way). After contacting customer care immediately and providing photos of the damaged product they sent out a new cabinet that again was sent with poor adhesive surface ( air bubbles in the front of the cabinet) pictures provided again and shipment refused. I have not received a response to my latest complaint and when calling the customer support line was informed that they are closed until October 7th. Afraid that they may be going out of business and I am left with no product that has been paid for. I am at this point thinking of sending everything back and requesting a refund. One of the worst online purchase experience I have had,.

Missing part of order
I received an order that was missing an essential piece, I have called three times, emailed twice and still no response as to when I might expect my complete order fulfilled, it has been one month since I ordered and three weeks since the incomplete order was received. I expected better reading all the good reviews.

Stands behind their products
I ordered 2 lamps and discovered that one of them was slightly defective, the post of the lamp was crooked. Customer service asked that I submit a written claim with pictures to show the defect. I did so by email. I was worried that they wouldn't agree that the defect was serious enough to warrant replacement, but with no further questions and no cost to me, they sent me out a new lamp that I received within 6 days of my initial claim, and sent Fed Ex to pick up the return package at my home. I love my lamps and they are perfect!

We had ordered a bathroom vanity that took a while to come in. I called Customer Service and Danielle was wonderful. She kept in touch with me as to when the order would be in the warehouse and then when it would be shipping to me. It was very calming to know that someone cared to keep the client informed and not cancel the order. When the vanity arrived and we opened the box, it was well worth the wait!! The picture online doesn't do it justice. I am so glad that we used Home Living Style and when we are done with the this bathroom, I will be using Home Living Style for my next room. You can't beat their service!
