I've had my GMG Ledge grill for a few years and just got the newer smaller version the Trek prime. Both are just amazing to use. No issues, they work as intended and the food that comes off is always INCREDIBLE!

I have used just about every pellet grill on the market. What I like about GMG is they consistently push the envelope on innovation. Many of the industry standard features were pioneered by GMG. I also appreciate that their assembly consists of all 10mm hex head bolts. No flimsy sheet metal screw like you get with the box stores. Heavy construction, a wide temp range and excellent customer service.

GMG grills are for people who actually cook and don't need a deck ornament. I've cooked with a couple other brands and I can see why other grill companies copy GMG innovations. I LOVE my GMG.

Nothing but customer service issues (Ledge)This grill worked perfectly for 1 year after purchasing, after a firmware update, everything went to helena handbasket. Temperature off by 100's of degrees. Either buring the food while you're not looking, or letting it sit raw for hours, The pizza attachment only catches on fire when set at the lowest temp. The company has replaced everything on the grill, but it still doesn't work right. The expensive pizza attachment is the most troublesome. The company doesn't even answer my questions anymore. I'm putting it out by the trash and buying something that works. Piece of crapBottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Finally giving up on GMG DB after years of frustration
Every single year, there is another component that has broken down and needs to be fixed or replaced. The whole point of going with a pellet smoker was for the simplification of "set it and forget it," but if my grill is not going to reliably work each time I use it, then it's pointless. There are just too many mechanical and electrical components in this thing, and something is always causing an issue -- control board failure, motor failure, fan failure, temp sensor failure, auger jam, igniter failure, wifi failure. It's just one thing after another.No fun having to spend an hour or more having to diagnose and fix an issue just to start cooking.And technical customer service has become a joke, limited to 4 days a week, 5 hours a day, for a total of 20 hours a week (only 5 hours of weekend time). No live human ever answers the phone. Always requires leaving a message and getting a callback, which means I probably won't even be near my grill when I finally get the callback.It's frustrating having to eat the cost of what I've spent, but this company and its products are a joke. It's a relief to give up!Edited after GMG reply to add: No, every major component inside the grill is new within a few years, all having required replacement at one time or another (at my cost). I’ve reached out, but your hours are very limited and no one answers the phone.

GMG Ledge I had a Traeger grill for 9 years without any issues. Age and wear caused me to buy another smoker and I chose the GMG Ledge. In 2 years I've had to replace the igniter 3 times. It's a horrible product and always has issues with every new cook. Smoke pot has to be cleaned each time. Never Again!

I had a older gmg. And it was awesome. We recently purchased a trek table top. And we'll it sucks for darn 500 bucks . Takes forever to get close to temp. And does not perform like we thought it would. We are pretty disappointed.

This grille is completely unreliable with more electronic problems. I have 3 bags of pellets through it and I've replaced the board, the ignitor, updated software, reset the grille and it still won't work or let me know whats wrong. Quite honestly I would not recommend this grille to anyone. I have 3 buddy's who have also left this grille due to being unreliable because of electronics.

Do not buy this product or anything from this company!!! I bought a Jim Bowie in 2018 and have had many issues with it. When it was under warranty it was frustrating to constantly replace parts but the warranty was good. Once the warranty expired it still sux to replace all the parts but now it is out of pocket. On top of that it turns out they quit making parts for my model and sent a heat box for another model with the explanation that I will have to make it work. On top of it all you cant buy parts like a heat box from them you have to go through a dealer. I have yet to find a dealer that carries parts. I wish I went Traeger!!! Don't make the same mistake I Did!!!!

We bought our GMG a couple years ago to take with us when we traveled in our class A. It has been a wonderful addition. We left it home this past summer because we knew we wouldn’t need it on the trip. As fate would have it the hurricane Helena came through and our area was flooded and underwater for a few days. Our GMG was underwater. The board wasn’t working so we ordered a new one. It came in but the grill wasn’t functioning correctly so we sent an email to GMG company and they sent us a replacement for free. Customer service is amazing. We love our grill and highly recommend GMG products

GMG grills are amazing in my experience
Wonderful grill. I have used other pellet smokers and this one is the very best. It holds a constant temp for precise cooking and the app gives me SO much control. If given the opportunity, I recommend the GMG grills to everyone who asks. Great product and an amazing price point.

GMG Jim Bowie Prime Plus
I've had the GMG Jim Bowie Prime Plus since 2021. This was the first year they went from a steel to a ceramic igniter and an upgraded motor. Mine came with a steel igniter and a motor from the previous model. The igniter lasted a few weeks, and the motor stopped working within a year. Both times I called GMG customer service, and they sent me the correct parts, no questions asked. They also included a couple of extras for my trouble. Since then, I've had no problems with my grill and I probably use it, at least twice a week. It maintains temps really well, to the point that I do the Thanksgiving turkey in it, as well as pies and things like that. Everything comes out great. There is a learning curve to pellet grills, especially if coming from gas. It takes a little longer to get to temp and to change temp. High heat, 550, is lower than high heat on gas grill, but you have to adjust your cook times.

Customer support and troubleshooting is by email only! If you have time and they might happen to be open. You will get a standard reply that asks 50 questions and they want photos also for a 5 min troubleshooting problem. Truth is if i could just get a couple questions answered i’de be good. Just for future knowlage.. called treager @ 7 pm and talked with someone. Still awaiting a email from GMG.

I love the grill. But the stand still on back order
I love the grill.. but the stand has been on back order since I bought the grill 3 months ago. I have been using a temp stand and the grill fell over today causing significant damage. If I had the stand already this would have been avoided. I doubt I have any retribution since it fell. But if I had the proper base, this likely wouldn’t have happened. The lid bent, the stack damper broke off, and the hoper lid is busted up. This was a sharp little grill. Not anymore. I’m disappointed with GMG promising to have this stand out by now, but they fell short and so did my grill. All my local distributors have said they placed their orders about 6 months ago, and still haven’t received the stand or other GMG products. If not for this mishap, I’d leave a solid 5 star. I’d GMG steps up and replaced my grill, I’ll change this review. No doubt.
