Do Not Use GoTeamUp - A Nightmare ExperienceI strongly discourage anyone from using GoTeamUp for their membership needs. While our initial 4-5 years with them were positive due to a small, responsive team, the service has become horrendous since their acquisition.Key issues we faced:•Sudden Price Hikes: Our subscription fees were increased abruptly, with no grandfathering clause or prior discussion.•Broken Features & Failed Promises: The "hold" feature for memberships failed to work, causing members to be charged incorrectly despite success notifications. Furthermore, features that were promised to be in development were suddenly dropped without clear communication.•Appalling Support & Cancellation Process: The support team has been unhelpful, wasting our time with pointless calls. The cancellation process was a nightmare. After we disconnected Stripe to prevent further incorrect charges, GoTeamUp's system began sending emails to our members demanding payment. When we asked support to stop this, they claimed it was "by design" and that their legal team advised they could not stop the emails.This experience has been incredibly frustrating and has damaged our relationship with our members. The few hundred dollars you might save are not worth the awful support, broken system, and the headache you will inevitably face. Avoid this service at all costs.

TeamUp was a costly mistake

TeamUp was a costly mistake for our business in terms of time, energy, and client experience. We used it for three years and only stayed because changing systems felt harder than staying — a classic case of “better the devil you know.” Moving away has made it clear how much we were tolerating unnecessarily.The software is slow, unreliable, and frustrating to use. Clients regularly couldn’t access their accounts, navigation was clunky, and everyday tasks required constant workarounds.The final straw was the launch of their new client-facing app. It had so many problems that it actively disrupted the client experience. Clients struggled to access and use it, and it created more confusion than value. At that point, our business could no longer tolerate the ongoing issues, and we moved elsewhere.Feedback was repeatedly acknowledged but rarely acted upon. New features were rolled out with self-praise rather than substance, while basic, practical business needs were overlooked. Many features either didn’t work properly or added unnecessary complexity.Your business cannot afford software that is this inefficient and disruptive. Do not waste your time.

Terrible service

Terrible service, bordering on harassing. I own a gym , trialled the app, couldn't cancel it and was harassed for payment after they made it so difficult to cancel.

Consistent issues

Consistent issues. Quality of the jerseys are awful. Stitching wears down after just a few uses. The sizing chart was off a few inches on both sides. I’d highly recommend you go elsewhere

The best booking solution for me

Team Up has been a great addition to my small Pilates business. I shopped about and tested 4 other big names booking apps but they either didn’t do what I needed or were too expensive. I loved that Team Up charges less for those times I don’t have as many customers, I love the system is so intuitive so my less tech savvy clients have taken to it quickly and I especially love the support team. I’ve never had to wait long on a solution to some wee query or issue I’m having. Sometimes I’m grabbing a quick minute and have maybe forgotten how to do a task, they’re always on hand to help, no matter how small. I couldn’t rate Team Up more highly & I have subscribed to another big booking app in the past.

Far too difficult to use!!!

I signed up when my Pilates teacher switched to using TeamUp but now my initial 6 week contract has finished I cannot figure out how to buy my next batch of classes. How can anything be this difficult? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️In the end I had to Google how to pay for my next set of classes but for goodness sake why isn’t there just a menu option for this? Ridiculous!

Bring back the registration form

I've just given up trying to register and use team up. It's a perfect example of how to make signing up for a service that I wanted to try, so painful that I wouldn't consider it in future. Got the app to book reformer pilates. I had a code for a discount. It wouldn't work until I registered on a separate website, so uninstall and installed again, filled in several forms, got to the booking section - nowhere to enter the discount code. 40 minutes of life wasted and much negativity about team up created

Simply put, I love Team Up!

We have been with Team Up for many years now, I think over 7, and they are brilliant. I absolutely love the platform, how client details are presented, how I can easily set up classes and courses and have a timetable and booking system that takes care of itself. Plus the support is fantastic. They are always there for us to help us get the most out of the platform. I highly recommend Team Up for all gyms, exercise, yoga and wellness practitioners.

Great Service

Great ServiceI have found the overall customer service experience very good. My questions were answered fully and the areas I was still unsure of, the team were patient with going through as many times as I needed. I find the on-line booking and payment set ups really straight forward and has saved my valuable admin hours, of which I can now spend on building my business.

A Godawful experience.

A Godawful experience.A perfect example of how to make a simple joining and booking process a massively time-wasting and excruciating experience.The worst thing that happened to my sports club provider.Even as the ‘family manager’ I am unable to unsubscribe from a membership on the main website - numerous emails and calls to no avail. The App is even worse - pitiful.

Outdated UX and Poor Customer Support

I have been using TeamUp for years now as unfortunately the studios I book classes at have been using it. The app and website are incredibly buggy, and often doing anything simple requires so many steps. The platform feels dated and not slick at all, and the app even worse. I regularly just don’t get emails for classes I’ve booked, and the studio and I have all the right things turned on. When this happens I’ve had to reach out to TeamUp support who do not actually read your requests and try to dismiss you as quickly as possible. Additionally, they’ve told me there were internal issues as to why I wasn’t getting emails that only they can fix so I have to email them anytime it just suddenly happens. Not a great model. If you can use a different platform, your customers will thank you for it.

I have had experience with a handful of…

I have had experience with a handful of management platforms and I don't know how it was rated so high. With the exception of some things being good (but then again all of these platforms have the most basic features that function well). I have been duped. This is the worst most unuser friendly, confusing one I have ever used. It has caused me to waste an amazing amount of time troubleshooting. I believe I have lost many potential customers do to it's convoluted process, and the widget that you can imbed on your website is so glitchy and not designed well that customers don't understand how to navigate it. Very disappointed.

awful software program

Not great, very expensive and half the functions dont work properly. They falsely sell it up to you when signing up. It has to be one of the most user unfriendly bits of software out there.

What's happened at Team Up? After 10 years TOTALLY frustrated with them...

Been with Team up for over 10 years - and up until now have been really quite impressed with their service and responsiveness....until now.Been weeks now since I reported that something seemed to have gone wrong with the system when students booked a 6 week course but hadn't paid. Previously, any student who didn't have a membership for which allowed attendance at the course showed as owing in the calendar - meant when they did pay all I had to do was click the button next to their name, confirm their payment and voila! Sorted.No longer...Now takes HOURS to go back into each individual student who has paid - from a simple two click process it's become an interminable one....It worked FINE for over 10 years! Don't tell me it isn't a simple fix....Reported WEEKS ago.Fobbed off.Will be looking for another system.
