Buyer be aware - GenX Auto Transport
Buyer be aware - Bait and switch moving a car from Bradenton, FL to Fort Lauderdale, FL. Received a bid to move operatable vehicle for $125, seemed too good to be true, booked it and confirmed multiple times if this was an estimate or actual price, rep assured me after I paid deposit of $50, then rest is paid to driver. Sent deposit at 7pm on 12/5/25, rep said car will be picked up 12/8/25. That was the last I heard from them, I called Monday 2x, sent 5 txt asking for update, seller of car stayed on property to give the car to truck, I called main number and spoke to a different rep, he had my rep call back, he did but had a rude tone saying that I was wrong, that he did send follow up txt and calls (I had no proof of this). He said he can have the car moved at 8:30 pm 12/8/25 for $250. I said this is not what you offered initially at $125. Rep said, "if you want the car on Monday that is what it cost". Frustrated, I said I got other bids for less, rep then said I went back on the contract rules meaning once you sign with them, you can no longer entertain other offers. I replied as a consumer, I will look at all offer for the best deal, rep said the contract with GenX Auto Transport is now cancelled and If I wanted the car delivered by them it will be minimum $250 to $280 because I spoke to other companies (insinuating it was my fault the price went up) I was furious, I asked for deposit back & was told nonrefundable and refused to move my car for less than $250 likely $280 to $300 because I talked to other companies. Told them this is wrong, not how to do business, reported them to Better Business Bureau Darian, CT and make sure the general public is aware how they conduct business. I am working with my bank to cancel deposit and rebooked the car transport with a different company at $250, the actual price to move my car - GenX did the "Bait & Switch" to get me to sign with them, then changed the price to the real cost after I paid deposit. The GenX Transport company are unprofessional, rude and frankly disrespectable consumers. Once I shared what I intended to do, the apology txt came through. It's a competitive business, they work in a service business; to earn trust and get repeat business, honesty goes a long way and in the end the customer is always right if you intend to earn repeat business. Update:After this post, a manager called to follow up, they disciplined the employee for the poor service and refunded the $50.00 deposit. One person's actions unfortunately was a reflection of the company, but the management leadership did right by the customer, this tells me they took full responsibility for the actions of the employee and made it right for me as the first-time consumer of their services. I cancelled my stop payment with Bank of America & I am willing to give them another shot which I intend to do.

I recently used GenX Auto Transport to move my vehicle from California to Minnesota, and overall the experience went smoothly. A special shout out to Shane, who was professional, helpful, and made the booking process simple and stress-free. He kept me updated and made sure all of my questions were answered, which I truly appreciated.The driver got my car delivered safely and on time, which is the most important part. That said, I do feel the communication from the driver could have been better, and his manners throughout the process left a bit to be desired. A little more courtesy and clearer updates along the way would have made the experience even better.All in all, I’m thankful my vehicle arrived in good shape, and I’d recommend GenX Auto, especially because of Shane’s excellent customer service.
