Their managers are so rude

Their managers are so rude, 2 days ago she called me and asked me when I was moving out, and I said that I haven't found a place and she said to me that she will place a lock on my door. I told her, but I didn't owe money for rent nor utilities, she said to me so..., and replied to me that you guys I have been making a lot of issues, then asked, about what? She didn't say anything, what was the issue ? She never responded and asked her then may be because we didn't have stove from December 24, 2024 to January 31st, 2025 and said to me so...and I said I live here with my 2 babies now without a stove? She answered so what? I said to her that we were struggling without stove for one moth and a half and with my 2 babies, an 5 month old and 22 month old and then she said if this is the case you will move out and she hang up the phone on me without even saying buy.I requested compensation, but I didn't receive any response from that same manager. When we moved in this townhouse it was an add that was saying $1300 and they agreed upon move in inspection, during moving we spotted a mold mark which wasn't told to us that it was a mold. The day I signed the one year lease it changed from $1300 to $1350. Before the lease end they told me that I will pay for the mold that she took picture of during our move in inspection, they told me that their maintenance will fix it and I will have to pay. When I met their maintenance guy named Peter, he told me that they have been fixing it for years and haven't found a solution for it. I saw a lot of mold in the building and I cold the Alberta health services AHS, whom are working on it and the file still there. She said to me that she will change her lock on April 30, 2025 when my lease will end. We have had a lot of issues, the electric wires are so old and that's what a technician they sent to fix it told us after we spent four months without electricity in our bathroom and in the master bedroom. The master bedroom had mold, and a second bedroom had mold but the AHS had to tell Davies property management to fix it, because they refused to do so which impacted our health and our children's health. The professional electrican told us that their wires are so old and they never done any maintenance. After my lease ended they increased my rent to $1500 and I have to sign a lease for $1500 but my receipt is $1600 because they are adding $100 extra charges for their administration fees which they didn't do on their original lease which we signed in November 2023. From January 31st, up to now I have paid them $300 extra which isn't on the lease contract agreement. This manager threatened me that she will take me to court for not finding a place to rent, but I didn't owe them any money. Even when I said that I struggled without a stove for one month and a half including my wife an children, she responded so what and told me that we will have to move out.I wouldn't refer any of my friends or family require rent to Davies property management, because I had a very bad experience. We still have mold in the house, they keep painting and mold keeps on coming back.

Shady business practices

The owner Sandy Bean signed our HOA bank check for $11,000 without the approval of our Board of Directors and after the last meeting of the year, which I assume was to avoid being discovered. BP Davis' access to our bank account was immediately revoked. Very shady and untrustworthy

Since Davis Property Management took…

Since Davis Property Management took over the apartment complex has gradually improved. Especially since the current on site managers Victoria and Bobby. I feel that the building security could still use some improvements like a locker for packages or fogging the windows in the entryway so at least people can't see packages in the hall.

Victoria and her husband make living…

Victoria and her husband make living here so great. Really glad to have a hands on property manager and love seeing them around. They are quick to respond, communicative, fast at fixing things, and maintain the landscape too! I do wish we could do more to keep the inner stairwells cleaner/ pay for the vents to the dryers to get cleaned so that they function better (I often have to do two drying cycles to fully dry my items).

Wonderful Place to Call Home

I moved into Ballard Heights Apartments towards the beginning of the year and absolutely love it here. Astara is always so friendly, manages and takes care of the complex so well, and responds/follows up on maintenance issues very quickly.Making a payment for rent is easy, so that is a plus as all the information can be reviewed via the app. Overall, I am very grateful and thankful to have found this place!

Brilliant place to live

Victoria King is amazing at the Olympic View building for starters! I've been here since 2016 and absolutely love my place. Thank you for providing substantial housing.

I have lived at Ballard Heights…

I have lived at Ballard Heights Apartment for 15 years or so, always get my issues fixed promptly and Sandy is very friendly and helpful! Also Astara is a great Apartment Manager, She is so friendly, helpful and communicates well to the tenants about any issues!

I have been impressed by and appreciative of the prompt response and beyond satisfactory resolution of the two issues that have come up in the last 15 months. Communication has been easy and always friendly and helpful.

Good management company and onsite manager

They are responsive to maintenance requests and the people I've spoken to in the office are very nice. Onsite manager Victoria is an excellent manager who keeps things in good shape.

Some of our properties have not…

Some of our properties have not contracted fast enough. After too much thinking, we decided to work with DPM and have never looked back! I like the job that they do. They are quick, effective, and get our units leased faster than I have ever noticed. Excellent team and a great help when I needed it!
