Compassion on the Job
CodaPet’s vet, Dr Laurie Noe, is very compassionate. Eventhough my beloved dog, Jackpot, passed 3 hrs before scheduled euthanasia at home, she promptly came an hour early. Her help was so comforting and wont be forgotten. Thanks so much, Dr Noe.

CodaPet: NOT recommended by any stretch of the imagination!!!
I started out with a good experience with Codapet, and then when I really needed them, the experience went from good to really bad. I had originally received a referral for Codapet from my primary veterinarian, who no longer does any type of house calls. I called them on my 4 1/2 year-old Irish Wolfhound, who had just been diagnosed with very advanced osteosarcoma. So the first call taker that got to my call was excellent was very compassionate and knew what she was talking about. I made an appointment for the next afternoon and fell into despair because I knew I didn’t even have 24 hours left with my beloved dog. But over the night, I got to thinking about it, and he seemed to be so symptom-free at the moment, showing no pain, eating like a horse, and just generally being his happy go lucky self. I called Codapet the next morning to cancel my appointment, greatly apologized, and they could not have been nicer and totally understood. AND they assured me that, and here’s the important part, all of my information that I had given the call taker would remain in their system for when I had to call the next time for real. Well, the next time arrived yesterday and I got another 6 to 7 weeks out of my best friend. But all of a sudden, he started showing signs of pain and inmobility and I needed a vet out almost immediately if not sooner.. It was at about 9o’clock PM that he really started yelping and whimpering and I went to find Codapet’s number and could not find it. I still don’t know where it went, but then I jumped online to try to find it on the website. Oh, it’s a fancy website, and it gives you tons and tons and tons of information but I spent easily 45 minutes just scouring the website looking for their phone number. I kept asking Siri for a phone number and she kept getting it wrong. OK, so I do finally find a number online somewhere and I called it and this time I got a call taker that I don’t think even knew her name? I’m trying to be forgiving here. She may have been very new but I conducted the interview and answered the questions before she could get them out. I was desperate to get a vet out to put my dog out out of its misery. Well, of course, they didn’t have any of my information in the system, and we had to go through the whole question and answer process all over again, which took plenty of time which I didn’t have much of. Although they stated they’re a 24 hour service, after spending more time trying to find a doctor that was available, no one was. The earliest they could come would be the next morning. I agreed to that, and asked roughly how early I might expect a response. More hemming and hawing and she finally said she just didn’t know but would have somebody contact me within the hour. So I waited… And waited… And waited and never received a call back that evening. I finally started trying to call them at 8:30 the next morning after spending all night with my increasingly ill and increasingly in pain, poor dog. Of course no one would pick up at their customer service number and I ended up within about an hours time leaving three different messages for them as to when the vet might be showing up… At this point, absolutely frantic! I never received another call from them! It’s like the night before on the phone and giving all of my information AGAIN and getting this set up didn’t even exist. About two hours later, after still receiving no call I finally found another vet about 45 minutes away who was willing to respond to my calls for help. Thank God, I left yet another message with Codapet and basically told them they could shove their service where the sun don’t shine, and that they could cancel my appointment for that morning on the off chance they actually had it in their system! I’ve never received a call from them to apologize for the incredibly bad service and I’m sure I won’t. Sorry for this extremely long review, but Codapet ughentirely failed me in my moment of need and like I say, I’ve yet to ever hear another word from them.

Dr Clem
Dr. Clem was very thoughtful in our decision to help Chloe pass over the Rainbow Bridge. She gave us time to grieve and explained the process to us. While it is not easy to see your little fur baby of 18 yrs pass on, Dr. Clem helped her transition with peace and love.Thank Dr. Clem for your amazing work. We are eternally grateful that Chloe was surrounded by her Pet Parents in the comfort of her home.

Dr. Karen Whala DVM of Fresno is a People and Pet Person
Dr. Karen Whala DVM is Kind, Compassionate and has been especially patient with me. I request her by name and can think of a Million reasons why I shouldn’t euthanize my Cats when she arrives. Dr. Whala DVM tells me what she observes, which is the exact same thing that I saw. I knew that if I had taken my cat Kline to a Veterinary animal hospital for an exam, any reasonable vet would have come to the conclusion that Kline needed to be euthanized. This visit, Dr. Whala Saved Me. I had an injured, aggressive community cat in a spare bedroom that needed to be euthanized. Dr. Whala was especially kind and fit a second euthanasia into her schedule. I don’t know what I would have done without Dr. Karen Whala - literally. I didn’t have a plan as to how I was going to give this kitten a peaceful passing.I am so appreciative of Dr. Karen Whala’s services. I have driven home in the past from a PetER on numerous occasions when I was distraught. When I need to euthanize a cat, I wait for Dr. Karen Whala’s next available appointment. Her method of euthanasia makes the most common sense. She first sedates the cats and then she finds a vein to administer the final injection. This was not the First Time that I requested Dr. Karen Whala, and it won’t be the last,

Dr. Mary Juber
Dr. Mary was exceptional. She was so caring and compassionate caring for our nearly 18 year old cat Oreo Cookie. Her gentleness and kindness made our family feel more at ease. I know that I made the right decision for Cookie to have her end of life care in her loving home. Thank you Codapet and Dr. Mary.

At Home Euthanasia
As our 19 year old feline, Alley neared the crossing of the Rainbow Bridge living with a myriad of serious health concerns, we elected to pursue At home euthanasia to be the most humane manner of bringing her eternal peace. Our decision to choose Dr. Megan Loman of Coda Pet was made after receiving a referral from a friend whom had recently gone down the path, we were soon to embark upon.My initial impression within meeting Dr.Loman was that her overall presence wasone of a genuine, compassionate human being, as well as veterinarian. She openly welcomed any questions and answered them accordingly. Our dear Alley was made as comfortable as possible by Dr. Loman throughout the process of in home euthanasia. With a heavy heart I share that Alley’s final breath was taken at 2:00pm on Tuesday, November 28th, 2025. With a grateful heart, I share that Dr. Megan Loman was present to ensure a peaceful passing. Highly recommend Dr. Loman

Dr. Lane Martin in the Seattle area is the absolute best. I would recommend him again and again. He was so compassionate and we couldn't have asked for a better end of life experience for our sweet cat Piper in December. Thank you.

Convenience Over Care
I booked an in-home euthanasia appointment with CodaPet a week in advance, carefully choosing a time that worked with the veterinarian’s very limited availability. Two days before the appointment, I was texted to reschedule due to an “upcoming emergency” that conflicted with my dog’s scheduled euthanasia. I later learned this was not an emergency, but a family obligation she chose to prioritize over my appointment. She then tried to move me to a day that had been unavailable when I originally booked, leaving me confused as to how that day and time suddenly became “open.” It is clear that convenience was prioritized over compassion, which is completely unacceptable given the sensitive nature of this service.I declined to reschedule and am now left scrambling to find another way for my dog to pass peacefully at home. This experience has been deeply upsetting and reflects conduct that should never occur in end-of-life care. I sincerely hope CodaPet takes this feedback seriously and reflects on the importance of reliability, clear communication, and compassion when families are trusting you with one of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Made the pain a little more manageable…
Yesterday we had to make the most heartbreaking decision for our sweet Rambo, and Dr. Walden was the angel we didn’t know we needed. The moment she walked into our home, an instant wave of relief washed over us. Her presence was calm, grounding, and full of compassion. It felt like she carried peace in with her.Dr. Walden guided us through Rambo’s transition with such gentleness and respect that it truly eased our hearts in an unbearable moment. She explained every step, moved slowly and lovingly, and honored Rambo in a way that made us feel understood and supported. Even in our grief, we were comforted knowing he was in the hands of someone who genuinely cared. Her compassion, professionalism, and kindness were extraordinary. We are forever grateful for the peaceful passing she helped create for our boy. At one of the hardest moments of my…
At one of the hardest moments of my life, I found @codapet and Dr. Ann Gonnering. My old fella almost made it to 12, but his age and mobility made that heartbreaking decision unavoidable. 💔Being able to make the appointment online meant everything, especially when other places were booked out days or weeks. Dr. Gonnering was so gentle, compassionate, and patient with us. She treated my boy, Forty, with so much respect and kindness, and brought comfort when we needed it most.Thank you, truly. 10/10 recommend CodaPet and Dr. Gonnering to anyone facing this kind of goodbye. 🤍🐾

Peaceful, at home
I will be eternally grateful to Dr. Nicole Ramos of Codapet. She came to our home and helped Charlie make that transition, he was where he loved to be, with many of those who love him. We were loving on him, and feeding him snacks until he fell asleep, and then she helped him pass peacefully, I could not have asked for a better experience for him. She was so professional and patient with us, allowed time and space. She is a wonderful person, and she made this painful time a little more bearable. ❤️❤️❤️

Dr Karen showed great compassion for…
Dr Karen showed great compassion for our beloved pet as well as those who loved her and circled her in our love as she crossed the rainbow bridge. Time was given for her 4 legged family to grieve her as well to help them transition with their loss. In our many years with having this very difficult decision, having our beloved pet cross the bridge in a safe loving way was comforting.

Amazing veterinarian
Dr. Gersten is amazing. We were dreading saying goodbye to our Sasha. What a tremendous relief having Dr. Gersten as the provider of this emotionally challenging process, made me think I would want to go exactly like our Sasha did, seriously. She’s companionate, honest, patient and understanding. Thank you.

We were very impressed with CodaPet
We were very impressed with CodaPet and the way Dr. Claire Gibson made every accommodation to make the family comfortable at such a difficult time. We were even more impressed with the gentle way you treated our sweet Bailey Girl with her transition. You certainly were an angel of compassion at a time when a physically and mentally exhausted family was in need of a helping hand. You are definitely a credit to your profession and I highly recommend your organization to anyone who should have a need for your services. More importantly, I believe that you are a genuinely good and caring person and I am glad that you were a part of this time in our lives. Thank you for all of your help!

Codapet.com was not available when needed.
Codapet.com comes up as the first option when internet searching for in-home pet euthanasia in my area (Duluth, MN). When attempting to schedule through the website, there are zero available appointments. What is the point of this if it isn't actually available when it is desperately needed? Codapet.com completely failed at the one thing it's supposed to do. We had to take our beloved cat to the veterinarian instead which scared him a lot. We did not want our cat to go through this process with any fear or stress and decided long before to have it done at home. Unfortunately, planning was not enough for our cat to pass peacefully. I am completely devastated from the loss which is worsened by the frightening, clinical way we had to say goodbye. My recommendation - don't rely on these at-home services and prepare for something less than ideal.
