DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING…

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING RELATED TO YOUR MOVE!!!!! This company is an absolute scam and 2 years ago I used them to move from San Antonio to NYC. They changed the price of the quote twice, then changed it again once the actual movers showed up. They then claimed they would deliver my belongings on New Year's Day 2024 and that never happened. They held my property outside of Dallas, TX for almost a month. I lived the first two weeks in NYC with only the property I was able to fit in my car that I drove to NYC Slept on an air mattress, had to buy a futon just to have something to sit on and had to spend $750 on clothes just so I could have dress clothes for work. I also moved with a 14 YO dog that had to live in an apartment with no furniture. When the mover finally showed up, he arrived at 9 PM two weeks after the promised delivery date and wouldn't even begin to take my items off the truck until I gave him the money order for the final payment. Only one mover showed up at my NYC apartment, SO I HAD TO HELP MOVE THE STUFF OUT OF THE TRUCK. And he still asked for a tip. It was by far one of the worst experiences of my life. Bronze Star IS NOT A MOVING COMPANY and is just a middle man. You will have a terrible experience if you hire them. I also filed a complaint with the Department of Transportation because of how bad of an experience I had. I have text messages and e-mails confirming their lies and the whole experience was absolutely terrible. DO NOT TALK TO THIS COMPANY AT ALL FOR ANYTHING. They are liars, cheaters and scammers.

The team kept us informed at every step, which really helped us feel relaxed during the move. They stayed actively involved the entire time and handled difficult furniture lifts with skill and confidence, even in tight stairways. Their positive attitude never changed, and they treated us and our home with respect throughout the process. The level of professionalism and care made a challenging move feel smooth and well managed.

They were super easy to communicate with, replied my messages within minutes, and answered every question I had. The move itself was done very efficiently, they assembled and disassembled the furniture and were very careful with our stuff. The whole team was helpful, kind and friendly. I will definitely call them again should I need their services!

I was moving from a large house with a lot of furniture, and these movers made it look easy. They wrapped every piece carefully, labeled everything clearly, and made sure it was all handled safely. The team was incredibly polite, respectful, and patient with me when I needed extra time to organize. They took all the stress out of what could have been a chaotic day. I’m so thankful for their hard work and would gladly recommend them to family and friends.

From the first quote to the final

From the first quote to the final delivery, everything about this move was handled professionally. The office staff was responsive and helpful with scheduling, and the moving crew was absolutely fantastic. They packed up my entire apartment quickly, carefully, and with a smile. I could tell they had a lot of experience because they made the entire process look effortless. Everything arrived in perfect condition, and the total cost was exactly what I was quoted. I’ll definitely be using them again in the future!

I was quoted one price after going through the inventory of everything in my home. Also sending a video of everything in my home when the movers got to my home the price changed to an extra $2000. Communication was terrible. With my things did arrive to my new home three weeks later one of my 65 inch TVs was damaged. I’m getting the runaround with that as well. They did not put my beds back together, which was already paid zero out of 10 do not recommend

Scam Movers-Unreliable-Dishonest-Bait & Switch

!! WARNING !! This company is running a scam & gets away with it. They will steal your money. Contracted for a move with a 2600cu ft truck including my tool-boxes. Originally paid for a 2100 Cu ft. Load planner calculated at 1900cu feet but bought extra for dead space they later said I had to pay for. Pictures & emails of tool-boxes & all stuff being moved-No problem they said. On move day they came with a truck of about 1700 cu ft NOT 2600. Then they proceeded to attempt to extort more money for another truck. The truck they came with was only up to 1700 cu ft, a full 900 cu ft too small. They said they couldn't move any of my tool-boxes & only some furniture & boxes saying it was too large for the lift-gate. I measured & moved the larger box to the lift gate & the toolbox would fit all the way on & still had room to stand. They promised the tool-boxes could be loaded, saw the pictures repeatedly over 2 months, & I even broke the largest down anyway from one large to 5 smaller. On move day the movers refused to move them without even trying or touching them & made a bunch of excuses besides the lift gate that was shot down. They said they needed to transfer the items to another truck & even if they could load the tool-boxes they couldn't get them on the semi-truck in LA to drive to Texas because they don't have lift gates. They knew they needed lift gates so why would they take the money & let us get to move day then send someone who has to do a transfer, has too small of a truck, & they don't have semi-truck lift gates. We were promised a "direct move" with "no transfer & "you're getting an expedited move..." on a recoded call, with notice I was recording. The movers that day attempted to extort more money out of us saying that even if they could load the toolboxes & get them on a simi, that they would need to rent a truck in Texas to transfer again to unload, wanting way more money for this. They wanted more money to bring another truck. They brought too small a truck to begin with. They needed 47% more capacity being 900 cubic feet too little. THEY DID NOT SEND THE CONTRACTED AMOUNT. They had 4 people including the driver. Two of them were too old to lift anything & kept complaining the boxes were "too heavy" even though no one lifted a finger or a box. I am disabled & my left side has the strength of an 8-year-old & I could lift every box. They just stood around for 2 hours making excuses & doing nothing. Empty space you pay for...the scam is complain there is going to be a bunch & try to get more money telling you about dead space before even loading anything. I told Bronze Star I was renting an additional 400cu ft U-Haul for awkward size items to eliminate this objection. 2600 cu ft plus my 400 = 3000cu ft for a 1900 cu ft move! The movers kept complaining about safety & they couldn't go very high but wanted to stuff pic frames I had boxed above all the boxes. Ya they won't shift or break. & I'm sure nothing will get damaged by doing 3 transfers & that's safe. They said they would send another company the next day & promised calls back & they never did, they went MIA. The next day a company called but they had the same problem with no liftgate & the need to transfer the items but unable to. We had to be out that day or face a $1000 fee a day. We had to hire someone else. This company’s MO is getting the money & keep it whether you get moved or not. Find the cheapest company & try to legitimize it saying contract this & contract that. They make verbal promises & contradict themselves & make you feel comfortable until move day when they start the real scamming. Then if you don't pay & threaten dispute, they turn on you like a rabid dog. On moving day, the trucking companies get the cash to pick up, come scamming for additional money, then more to drop off. It is a Mob style racketeering operation. They say they are a family business, so was the Mob. NEVER USE THIS FAKE NOT MOVING COMPANY BROKER. The response below is LIES.

Believe the negative reviews regarding…

Believe the negative reviews regarding poor communication with Bronze Star (this site and others). I sent an email requesting a refund nearly two weeks ago to both their billing email and my coordinator and haven't gotten a response at all. I called last week and was told I would hear from them today (apparently billing only works the first and last Tuesday of the month- eye roll). So, nearly the end of the day and I hadn't heard anything- so I call again- now they say billing only works the last Tuesday and Thursday of the month- which means they would have been working when I sent the original email... when I mentioned I was told something different, I just got the runaround and was told over and over after every question that "billing will respond when they can"- oh and also they only communicate by email. So who actually knows when billing works? In any case, I recognize that I am outside of the refund window with my request, but common courtesy and good business practice should prevail if this were a decent company and at least respond to me. In addition, I had a floating/ unknown move date a couple months from now- so zero work other than providing my quote has been done toward this move (which is actually no longer happening since we de decided to sell all our belongings due to unfortunate circumstance) a good business would also look at a refund request situation based on the individual circumstances and I would hope would refund our money in this case. However it remains to be seen if this mysterious billing department will actually respond.

What Garold said

I don’t know Garold but my move was exactly the same. First quote $6000 ($2000 deposit), 1 week before the move a quality assurance call raised the price to $12,000 (another $2000 deposit), moving day the charge is almost $18,000. And yes they convince you they are not a broker but they ARE. The company they hired was crap! They get their workers off Craigslist. Absolutely unvetted! Right off the street and paid cash.

I don't even know where to start with…

I don't even know where to start with our experience. No where in the process did they let us know they were a broker. We were initially quoted $3100 for our move, and then two days before the move the quote changed to $5900, and then when they arrived (they being the shitty 3rd party contractor) the price jumped to $9100. Oh and the contracted mover showed up over 24hrs late. I was setting up this move for my elderly parents. Their stuff was not even worth that much, but I did it for my mom. Imagine my distress when the move went from $3100 - $9000 that's 3x the quoted price. I am beyond upset with this crappy company. My advice never ever ever ever ever use them.

This company was terrible

This company was terrible. I wrote a check that bounced, and I replenished my account immediately. They refused a new check, and I was threatenened and abused by this company. They worked with a company called "Ready, Set, Pack". NEVER USE either of these companies. I have moved 4 times in three years due to my husband passing and trying to figure out where I wanted to be. These two companies were the absolute WORST!!!

Melanie
Bronze Star Moving and Storage

Dear Melanie, We appreciate your feedback and regret to hear about your dissatisfaction. After thoroughly reviewing your case, we would like to clarify some important details to provide transparency regarding this situation. You provided the carrier with a check at the time of loading, which unfortunately bounced. This is considered a non-sufficient funds check by banking standards. Upon being informed, you indicated you would issue a wire transfer as an alternative form of payment. However, that the wire transfer was not successfully processed. Your banking institution verified this as well. Despite this, the driver, truck, and crew proceeded with the cross-country delivery without payment to ensure minimal disruption to your move and delivery time. Paying out of pocket for lodging, gas, and labor. Because you wrote a check that bounced you were not given the option to pay again via check because they were already nearing your destination and it takes an additional 5-7 days for checks to clear. Under the circumstances the first check bounced you then wired the money and the wire failed as well. You were notified multiple times about the failed payment attempts. Due to the non-payment, it was necessary to request certified funds upon delivery to cover the outstanding balance for both the loading and transportation services. At this point, you successfully withdrew cash from the bank to resolve the payment issue, allowing us to complete your delivery. We understand moving can be a stressful experience, and issues with payment processing can exacerbate the situation. However, our primary concern was ensuring the crew was compensated for their work and the delivery was completed and that you would be able to make payment and have a safe delivery. We assure you that no threats or abusive behavior occurred during this process. Our goal was to work with you to find a resolution while fulfilling our commitment to deliver your belongings. If you have further concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact our customer support team. We remain committed to providing clear communication and quality service to all our customers. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Sincerely, Thomas Customer Support

Do it yourself

They quoted us a price of 3000.00 for our move to Texas. This is only for them to find somebody to move us we are now hooked up with another company who is charging us another 7000.00 dollars for our move.
