My New Guilty Pleasure!
I have been using Babylon Leather now for several months and have made some absolutely lovely handbags which I adore and get lots of compliments on! Their shipping is quick, the quality of the leather and accompanying implements is excellent, and the instructions are fairly easy to follow… This is my new guilty pleasure! I highly recommend this company for the quality of their goods and customer service. Their packaging is amazing too…they never fail to add in a few fun little freebies, including the new addition of a dust bag!

I love the kits from Babylon Leather
I love the kits from Babylon Leather, each piece is perfectly cut out and the holes on every bit line up exactly to enable an easy sew. All of the equipment you need is included so it really is a one stop shop. I have said if you can sew a button hole then you can make a Babylon bag.

Company remedies an unfortunate situation
I received my item from Babylon Leather on February 10th 2026. I immediately knew I wanted to return it because the color of the leather was not as pictured in the ad. It was a most unattractive color in my opinion, reminiscent of baby poo. I wrote to the company the day I received it asking for directions on how to return the item and have been getting the run-around since. They keep offering me percentage refunds ( first 10%, then 35%) to keep the item. They won’t tell me the address to return the item, saying they are researching where to return it to. They even asked me to research shipping costs to “China” - no address provided. Buyer beware in dealing with this company. It is February 17th 2026; and I am still getting the runaround and am researching my next steps. Addendum:As of 2/18/26, I am pleased to write that the company has made my situation right in a very nice way, including an apology and a refund. In addition, they have said that their refund policy would be made clearer to avoid confusion or frustration going forward.

If there were more than 5 stars available, I would give them more! I can not express how absolutely stunned I am by Babylon Leather’s superb customer service. I had questions about a particular product in a particular color and was directed to submit a request for a special order. I did this and my request was accepted! I immediately ordered and it just arrived today. To say I’m happy with it is such an understatement…I am so over the moon with the products, the customer service, and the company. I can’t thank them enough and highly, highly recommend this company. Babylon Leather is the best!!

Love Their Kits!
I like this company, they offer raw materials as well as kits with video instructions. The kits are fully complete with more than enough material to make the item and the videos are clear enough to follow and complete the kits. The company is also very responsive and communicative. I asked a couple of follow-up questions and they responded very quickly! Shipping is fine in regards to time and packing/packaging. I am in the US and the kits typically took a couple of weeks to receive - that's fast considering the distance they are traveling! I have bought three kits so far with family wanting me to make more. Their kits allow me to build my confidence to try advanced techniques and advanced items. Greatly appreciate the concept and the company. Will continue to buy from again and again.

Babylon Leather has stellar products and top notch customer service!! I have ordered a few times from them. Each time I received my order exactly as I ordered it and always a little extra. Also Lloyd from their customer service dept. is always willing to help you. I’ve ordered a special order kit, and the customer service made doing that a breeze. I’ve also ordered acrylic templates and those always arrive in pristine condition. I highly recommend them if you want to try out a kit or want to try their templates.

Babylon Leather DIY Birkin Style bag
I bought a DIY kit for a friend and one for myself - I thought it would be a neat experience we could share and I wasn’t wrong! The kits were excellent quality and loads of extra thread (no need to scrimp!), the instructions were clear and the end product fantastic. The instructions were all via YouTube video which was very handy to watch and re-watch but personally I would like a set of text high level steps to accompany them (that’s a me thing though). Will definitely make another style!

I saw this on TikTok and immediately thought it would be something I'd like. I was not wrong. I got the small Kelly style bag. While the directions weren't always clear, I managed to figure it out in the end. I just bought 2 more kits and I can't wait to get started. Just wish the shipping was quicker.

Babylon Leather Kelly Bag Kit
I ordered a Kelly Bag kit this past summer to work on while we were traveling. Unfortunately somewhere between DHL and USPS in Denver the package went MIA. For a MONTH. I was in frequent contact with Lloyd in customer service. (BTW, I think everyone who works in CS uses Lloyd or he is one overworked dude.) Anyway, after lots of fear of being had and lots of assurances from Lloyd that they are legit, he offered to send a replacement. Sure enough a new kit was sent out and arrived in a timely manner. The original kit did eventually show up as well (it took a L O N G time) and Lloyd said to keep it. I give their customer Service top grades. They didn’t create the problem but they handled it.So the bag. I didn’t have time to work on the bags until the Christmas break. I relied on several tutorials makers have posted on YouTube as well as the Babylon Leather tutorial. If I could deduct 1/2 star for that tutorial I would. I had to slow it down to 25% most of the time and often it still doesn’t really show you what to do. The worst example is attaching the handles which coincidentally is the most difficult part of the assembly. It shows her starting the first stitch then jumps ahead to the next step. I searched for more videos and watched every one I could find but none of the makers spent a whole lot of time on this step either. Kind of makes me wish I had made a tutorial myself so I could focus on the parts everyone else glossed over. Anyway, moving on.The quality of the leather seems to be top notch. The holes line up perfectly. I loved the waxed thread which btw is plentiful so no need to skimp when measuring it out. I made both bags with one spool and didn’t use it all. I broke a lot of needles before I figured out that if you make sure the knot is below the needle it’s less prone to break. You also can’t wiggle the needles. They don’t like that. My only complaint on the hardware is that the lock feels cheaply made. I don’t really plan to use the lock so it probably doesn’t matter. The color? OMG the peacock blue is fabulous. Once done, the bag is beautiful and I will wear it with pride. I will gift the second bag to someone deserving. I’m giving Babylon Leather full marks but with the caveat that I would deduct half a star for the tutorial. The bag is beautiful and customer service is top notch. I highly recommend

I got my parcel safely, to say I was excited is an understatement. The tutorials are easy to follow, the cutting and punching of the leather is precise. The quality of the leather is outstanding. I would definitely recommend anyone wanting to make a bag but has no experience to give it a go. The customer support is excellent.

LOVE LOVE LOVE 🥰 💝I am an absolute fan of Babylon Leather DIY bag kits. The leather is a very good quality. Kits are easy to make also for beginners and a lot of fun, too. If you get stuck, their videos help, or if not there are plenty of tutorials by YouTubers to help out.I made a red Kelly and a yellow shoulder bag so far, they turned out very well. The red Kelly matches very elegantly with red 💄 & 💅. I get compliments everywhere and am very proud of it. No one believes me that I made it.The yellow bag was a birthday gift for a friend. I even ordered a copper logo stamp with her nickname to it. She was very happy and amazed. It is her favourite bag now.Babylon Leather Customer Service is reliable, very very kind and forthcoming.Shipment to Germany is fast, app 10 days.Great idea, great company.I will definitely order again.

This was my first Babylon red birkin bag and I was a little concerned if i will be able to make this bag as finished looking like the videos and pictures i saw. I must say the youtube step by step videos were very helpful and i am super happy with how the bag turned out..Customer service is amazing ,very helpful with all the questions I had and they gave detailed explanations for my query.. I really enjoyed stitching this bag and will be buying more when the bags come on sale .
