We had two storage units at American…
We had two storage units at American Storage and most of our things were ruined by overwhelming rodent droppings, urine, and chewing. And if that wasn't bad enough, there was a hole in one unit, water came in an ruined a mattress and box springs that we had used for only a few months! We had no food nor anything else that would attract rodents. This is absolutely unacceptable! I wouldn't store even my garbage can in this filthy place! They deserve negative stars.

This facility American Storage is very racist toward homeless people. They don’t rent to people that r homeless or if u have no vehicle they won’t rent to you. I believe they look down on homeless people even if a homeless has items to store and enough money to pay. MSM😡

Great service
Everyone was very helpful. The reservation was taken by a most friendly and well informed agent. Soon after the confirmation was received, I received a follow up call from the manager of the storage facility. Once again, very accommodating.

Great Place to store a boat!
I have been renting a unit from American Self-Storage for over 10 years now. The people folks that run the facilities are extremely helpful and friendly. The units are great for boats 20 ft. or less and very convenient to the lake.

Convient access with reasonable price
The storage site was easy to access, though slightly confusing to find the correct number. The employees are very helpful and I was able to set up my unit online and finish via a phone call. They provided me with a lock and a clean storage unit without any hassle. I like the ability to access my stuff at anytime during the day. So far I am very happy with my decision to store my stuff with American Storage.

I would highly recommend American Self-storage for your self storage needs. They are very responsive and always professional and pleasant and the storage facility is extremely clean and reasonably priced.

Why do the rates keep climbing?
I've rented a storage unit for a year. Rates have gone up 2x in that period. Not good. Not happy.But you have captured me. My storage unit is filled and I spend most of my year far away from Pittsboro, NC, with no immediate plan to empty the unit. I also think you need to update your communication and online payment options. I received a letter in the mail that rates were increasing. An email is preferable because of my travel schedule. I am not there to open mail. Electronic payment options are antiquated. Thank you for listening.

This is a reliable company to do business with.
My belongings are secure and I don't worry about things being damaged or stolen. They are protected from the elements and from animals. I've paid my rent on time, so there has been no problem with the business aspect.

Constantly raising rates
Been renting for 3 years for covered boat storage and rates have increased EVERY year to the point where it's now 28.4% higher than when we started. Now we're looking elsewhere. There have been NO improvements to facilities and there has been no justification given for the increases. The value just isn't here as there are other facilities where you can count on consistency in pricing.

Always had a great experience, whether renting a storage unit or space for my camper. Staff is very professional and great with communication whether it be by email, phone or US mail. A+ for sure.

They will jack your price every couple of months.. 8 months in they started charging $10 bucks for "insurance". this had previously never been mentioned! Con men.
