Avoid American Dream Relocation…
Instead of American Dream Relocation coming, they sent a third-party to move us. Unlimited Moving and Storage, the “associates” name is Stivenson Mendez. It was only two guys for the entire house, and they didn’t even finish it the same day like they were supposed to. Plus they refused to not charge us for stairs, even though American Dream Relocation made that guarantee. In this house we had two sets of stairs, going upstairs, and one to the attic area. They not only charged us for using stairs, they double charged us because there were two sets of stairs going up to the 2nd level , I mean, WTF?! Seriously?! If I had known that they were gonna do that, I would have them just use one set of stairs! They also charged extra for items they felt were too heavy, I.e a cement bench we had in our backyard. None of this was communicated a head of time and we’ve moved that bench several times and other companies did not charge extra. They nickeld and dimed us left and right . We called American Dream Relocation , multiple times. We tried both Billy, and Frank. We spoke to each of them once, and they were supposed to sort it all out. Then we never heard from them again! No return phone calls, no returned text messages, all phone calls to them, went to voicemail, or just continued to ring. Absolutely no contact, or assistance, once they got our deposit! A truly horrible company, and dishonest company to deal with, especially during such a stressful time. We even had to pay them twice because they changed the price before the move. (that should’ve been a sign right there!)Then the “movers” that were sent, that came underprepared and understaffed, wanted the $4000 in cash! And only cash! After about an hour and phone calls going back-and-forth to the offices, he accepted a check, under the name . No credit card like a normal company, but a check to a specific name, Stivenson Mendez. (That sure doesn’t sound like a company.) And on top of it, they refused to give us receipts! The main guy spoke English, but the other guy didn’t speak a word outside of Spanish. So he never knew what we were asking. Then, after Unlimited Moving and Storage loaded half our stuff on the truck, came back and said “since there was more than we planned, that will be an extra $8000 charge” so this hour and a half move went from $4000, to $12,000!!! And of course they wanted that in all cash! We had to borrow from five different relatives just to come up with the money, and pull some from my wife’s 401(k)! I don’t know if they felt like they could rip us off because I’m handicapped now, after two strokes, or what! We almost had to give up the house we were moving into, because we were charged such ungodly amount for their moving services! Of course, they said we didn’t have to pay it and they would leave, but they already had half our stuff loaded, and we were supposed to be out the next day! A true bait, and switch con game! Then to top it all off, our new house had stairs too, and they refused to move anything off the truck until we paid them an additional $300! Even though we just paid them $12,000 for the move! Oh, and this was at 11 PMp.m. that they finally showed up, 10 days after we asked them to drop it off. They said oh we have two weeks to drop it off, but we told them over two weeks out. And they still didn’t do it on time.Plus, just to make things more fun, they lost a bunch of our things! They said they’ll track them down, and bring it over next time they are in Cincinnati. That was six months ago! Guess they never came back to Cincinnati again?! so they just kept our things! Anything else missing, they would give us 0.06 per pound of the items they lost! Seriously?! we had to pay a hell of a lot more than that for the items in the first place! We also received other people’s belongings, after we told them they didn’t even bother to come and get it and return the items to their rightful owner. Additionally, things mysteriously disappeared from the move! There were several items, but the most painful one for me was a $400 sword, that was used on the TV show Highlander! It was one of my view prize possessions. What’s really strange, is that I had it hidden in a wardrobe box, since that’s all that it would fit in. But that box had been opened, and resealed with that plastic wrap on it! It is very mysterious, that something would vanish into thin air when it was securely packed in a box!Sorry for the long story, but I just wanna make sure people know what is going on with these Companies! American Dream Relocation, Billy, Frank, Unlimited Moving and Storage and finally that Stivenson Mendez are thieves, con, artist, and liars! And just for reference, the hour and a half move for $12,000, my move from Texas all the way to Kentucky, a 15 hour move, only cost $6000!Do yourself a favor, and stay far away from these people! Run, don’t walk away!

I see that since I wrote my original review in October, 2025 there have been numerous reviews written that are similar to mine!Maybe we need to find an attorney that will take on a Class Action Lawsuit.

You don’t deserve not one star! November to now
You don’t deserve not one star. You sent a company after making it sound like you were the moving company. United express relocation location shows up loads all of my belongings in November mind you charges me 4,000$ more than agreed. Refuses to take my things off the truck my wife calls me hysterically, crying because I’m out of town on work. We’re now February their phone is off the hook DOT number no longer active. Still have nothing I own with me. Does anyone know what lawyer will take this case on?

Horrible people
On October 31, 2025 I signed a contract with American Dream Relocation for a move in December and agreed to pay an initial deposit of $3,180,79. After reading the copy of the contract that was emailed to me I quickly grew concerned that there were multiple inconsistencies from what the two sales people (Dominic and Chris) explained to me. I changed my mind on using this company approximately one hour after signing the contract, I called the company back and spoke to Anthony who explained that I was well within the time frame to cancel the contract. I emailed the address he provided and stated my name, contract number and that I wanted to cancel the contract. On November 4, 2025 the full deposit amount of $3,180.79 was taken from my account by American Dream Relocation via an E-check. I immediately called and spoke with Anthony and Dominic from American Dream Relocation who explained that the payment couldn't have been cancelled and it was a standard practice that the company would reimburse me with a paper check in the mail for the full deposit amount. Several hours later I received an email from customer service at American Dream Relocation (attached to this complaint). The email stated "This message is to confirm that we have received your request to cancel your upcoming move with American Dream Relocation LLC Your cancellation falls within the contractual terms, and you are eligible for a refund of your deposit. We will begin processing your refund promptly". On a follow up email the same day, customer service stated "Please allow 7-14 business days for the check to be processed". I have emailed and called customer service approximately 15 times (15 calls and 15 emails) to check on the status of my refund. The responses from the customer service representative have been vague and unhelpful, continually stating that accounting is running behind and my refund is being processed. As of January 12, 2026 I have not received the refund of the deposit that was taken by this fraudulent company. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!

Bait and switch scam!!!!I wish I could give this company a…
I wish I could give this company a zero! This is the worst experience I have ever had, and I have moved many times. I had a real wheeler dealer sales person named Beau Valentine. He promised everything and convinced me to do almost a 50% deposit. When it came time for questions as my move approached, I sent multiple emails that went unanswered. I called and left messages too. Then, one day, the phone numbers were no longer working for the company or Beau. I told them I wanted to cancel, believing they were a scam. They finally answered my emails then! When I asked about updated pricing due to not taking some of the furniture I had originally listed, they wouldn’t give me a new price. Everything about them is totally shady.I had someone named Tatyana hang up on me twice. This is a total bait and switch scam!!!Stay away from this company!!! As of now, they do not plan to refund my money even though they did not provide any decent level of service. Horrible experience.

Attempts to contact this company have been unsuccessful.
American Dream Relocation agreed to move a modest amount of items from an apartment in Mesa, Arizona to South Carolina. The company required a check for approximately half of the invoice amount when they picked up the items and a second check for the balance when the items were delivered at their destination. They required a photo of the front of the initial check before the moving date, which was sent to them by cell phone on October 8, 2025. On the appointed date, 2 men arrived in a rented U-Haul truck (without any indication that it was affiliated with American Dream Relocation). The men looked at the items to be moved and said that they would need to charge more than the agreed upon moving fee, but this proposal was rejected. They then left, without moving any of the items. A few days later, it was discovered that the company deposited the check into its account, without permission. This means that the company may have taken a photo of the back of some unrelated check, signed it, and submitted it to the company's bank for deposit. No photo of the back of the check had been sent to the company. The company was not authorized to deposit or transact the check. The check was issued by a Church as financial assistance to one of its members. This money has not been reimbursed by the company. I recommend that no photos of checks be sent to this company.

Scammers!!!!!Us military move
Scammers!!!!!Us military move, they quoted me for $1300 for the pick up. I told Dennis the exact samething that is on the list in my apartment, paid the deposit. After the movers came to move my stuff they wanted to charger me $2600 more so I refuse to pay something that I never planned on paying in the initial stages, eventually the movers left been calling from Saturday to get my refund and I’m yet to get to someone on the phone. This company is total garbage and I’m planning and reporting this to the highest level. They are taking hard working people money and refusing to give it back.

To give this company one star is too…
To give this company one star is too much. Please do not use them. They are big scammers. Give you one quote and inflate it immensely on the day of the move. The rudest and worst customer service. They will not tell you where your stuff is and won’t tell you when it will be delivered. Please do not use this company. Dennis is the biggest scammer along with Jen

My Move Day
American Dream Relocation made my move effortless from start to finish. The communication was excellent. I always knew where things stood, and the movers handled everything with care. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, and treated my belongings as if they were their own. I’d highly recommend them to anyone planning a long-distance move.

I was low balled on my inital quote
I was low balled on my inital quote, then called 2 days prior to move and the quote doubled, then another $2500 in fees were added to that. This company is a huge scam. Do not trust them

I would give zero stars if I could
I would give zero stars if I could! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! They should be called American Dream Scammers. Once I scheduled my move, I paid a deposit and then couldn't get a hold of anyone!

SCAMERS
SCAMERS! This company does not provide any services. They are a broker and they will send a moving company that is just as in competent as they are. They are next to impossible to contact and you will get saddled with twice the cost that they will quote you. I will be filling a fraud report on this company as well as the "movers" that were sent to my home.

SCAMMERS
SCAMMERS! To give this one star is generous. This company is a complete SCAM. They tell you they will help you get a move set up for a very good price. When the movers come, the price increases astronomically and suddenly American Dream Relocation vanishes. They don't take your calls or reply to messages. You are suddenly stuck with fees. Also, while my movers were nice, they damaged my property and I've received no follow up. This company is an absolute scam that should be shut down and reported.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! They ignore you as soon as they get your down payment fee. I tried to cancel multiple times leading up to my move date and they ignored each attempt until I contacted my bank. We never even used their services after digging up exactly how this company operates. We were told by Fred or Frank, whatever his name was that he would be involved every step of the way and as soon as I tried to cancel and send an email literally a day or two after booking- never heard from the company, not one reply. Again I would not use this company as a first or any choice. They will ignore you and keep your down payment, while acting as if you never sent an email even with proof.

Lies upon lies
Lies upon lies. Lies about cost. Lies about when your things will be delivered. Learn from my mistake. DO NOT use this company. Update. One month later, my family still does not have our belongings. At this point we feel like victims of theft. Learn from my mistake. Do not use this company.

Don't use American Dream
Don't use this company! NO!!!. First of all they are not a moving company. They are nothing but a broker. They give the impression they are movers. The con game goes like this :"the setup"... They have you tell them approximately what you plan to ship, then provided a very low estimate which they ask for deposit based on "square footage". The ongoing illusion before "they" come out is a phone call a few days before you move...so " they can finalize" or allow for update to items being move. This is when you find out they are not a moving company. In the fine print. they tell you another moving company will be doing the work and they will also review items while on site and adjust pricing IF needed. But assure you they very good at estimating. The only thing they are good at is efing lying. Here's " The sting": The first thing I hear when the real moving company arrives is the itemized list is way off on what has been charged. And tell me I need to come up with another thousand. At this point you are fkd because you are locked in for the other half of cost. Bend over!!! Or Run from this company. Use an actual moving company you will save a lot of money. I'm not sure if both companies are in on the con but you're better off going directly with a moving company which I Thought was doing. Shame on me for not doing some digging first. An shame on them for using the 'American' name in their so called company. Best I can do is warn others. Good luck.

Do not use American Dream
American dream relocation was a terrible experience. I suggest you do not use their services because they do nothing. I spoke with Evan, who assured me he would be available to me for the entirety of my move. Very charming until my deposit was paid, after which he never answered his phone despite the many calls I made. He vanished. They emailed me to use a moving company, Cosmos moving, which upon review had horrible almost zero star ratings on google. The contract required them to perform a call to solidify final inventory prior to the move to ensure capacity - no one ever called or performed it. I had to book a pickup date with the mover despite having already done so with Evan and assuming Evan had booked me as discussed and contracted. American Dream as a broker collects ⅓ fee, jobs you out to a terrible local mover and disappears. Upon arrival, the mover immediately said I needed to pay an additional $ 500 over contract. I said the items were exactly as I had gone over with Evan and bought space for accordingly, but they back you into a corner. I called American Dream and spoke to a customer service person who tried to assist but said I could not send the bad movers away and that my only choice was to lose my ⅓ deposit already paid to them or pay more as demanded. The Ryder truck was messy, the blankets provided were filthy and full of holes. The back office guy from Cosmos who calls the shots on money demands is rude, nasty, abrasive and crass. In order to lessen the $500 demanded, I had to leave items behind. I had the same experience on the delivery side. My family helpers came and went because the truck never came. I had given my preferred delivery date at pickup and it was ignored until I called every day for a week to get them to deliver 5 days later than requested. They were lost and had been given the wrong address so I stood out on the road to guide them in. Upon arrival I was immediately hit up for more money for things that were already provided for in the contract. The guys doing the move are fine and try hard to please. It’s not their fault. I spoke to American Dream several times throughout this journey and got nowhere. They said they would perform an investigation into all items listed above. They did not. They put the workload on you to attempt any recovery or have your case heard. They exhaust you so you go away. Overall they are not a company to be relied on for customer service or performance. They are a middleman and you start all over with the mover when they choose your mover, who you are stuck with. They gave no care or expertise selecting the almost zero star mover. They leave you high and dry. In the future I will hire help directly or do it myself. The price gouging, wasted time, frustration and complete lack of follow through from American Dream resulted in a bad experience.

DON’T USE! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, INSURANCE AND SCHEDULING
These people are a total scam and are just waiting for you to sign all the legal paperwork to lock you in so once the slightest thing goes wrong you have no recourse. The customer rep I discussed and scheduled my move with was Fred Valitti. Fred and I thoroughly read and reviewed the contracts together. When we came to the part about insurance and protection amount of liability, I very clearly told Fred that this was not enough and I needed more coverage. Fred very clearly told me that I could “get additional insurance from the Foreman on the day of the move.” This turned out to be completely FALSE. I realized this on the day of the move when the movers showed up and told me I could not get more insurance on the day of the move. I was stuck. My items to move were too expensive for the movers to move without insurance, I couldn’t get more insurance, and I couldn’t delay the move. They had me over a barrel. Customer service refused to work with me and kept telling me that I should have read the contract better. I read it. I read it with their representative, Fred. By the way, American Dream records all these calls and has proof of my call with Fred and knows that I am telling the truth about this.Yet they refused to refund me or sell me additional insurance. Consequently I lost my $600 deposit. Also beyond the insurance issue, I had a major issue with them holding their scheduling commitment. While they gave a two day window for the move, once you receive the following text you would think they are locking in and committing to a date and time (NOT SO FAST). “Hello Lee. This is American Dream Relocations calling/texting in regards to your move that is scheduled to be serviced!! YOUR MOVING DAY IS SCHEDULED FOR Wednesday 7/9/2025 . Driver and crew members will be to the pick up destination between the estimated time of 10AM-2PM.” However on Wednesday 7/9/25, NO ONE SHOWED UP OR CALLED during that time window. I started frantically calling the all the phone numbers that they provided, and NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE. I finally tracked down the company they brokered the move to and they admitted there was a mistake in scheduling and they wouldn’t be coming on Wednesday but rather the next morning, Thursday. They not only didn’t show up the next morning but never got there until around 1:30 Thursday afternoon! I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY.
