Complete cowboy outfit

Complete cowboy outfit. Rude staff, poor car Quality. They demanded the vehicle back 90 minutes before midday cut off and threatened us with calling the police if we didn’t do it. We were advised that even if the insurance has run out, they wanted the car returned. So advising customers to drive whilst uninsured is not the best advice. Avoid this company like the plague.

we did not happy with Aercar company, we did not received our booked car,we spent our time. money and health for nothing.If we read reviews before to book from this company, As Many customers have shared similar stories about not receiving their booked vehicle from Aercar, often due to strict or "hidden" terms.

Cheating people as much as they can

Cheating people as much as they can . I rented through car jet fully coverage . And on the counter near the Larnaca airport I paid more money (100euro) as they claimed that i'm not fully covered . Then the car had a flat tire . They took the car to be fixed and didn't give it back or another car unless we pay for a new insurance . We rented a car from another company to complete our tripp. We felt so bad 😔 😞 .

Aer Car inappropriate charges

My wife and I arrived at Aer Car reception, in the Paphos Airport area, in the early hours of 18th September 2025. To find a salesperson scam/con us out of 171 euros for Additional Collision Damage Waiver, when we already had Collision Damage Waiver in our Car Hire Voucher. My wife and I had expected to pay a refundable 800 euros on my credit card as I was the named driver. To cover any claim for any collision. But the salesperson started writing out alternatives One which has been mentioned above, as well as an option at 100 euros and the expected 800 euros. I did point out to the salesperson I had Collision Damage Waiver on the Car Hire Voucher, but to no avail, the salesperson carried on to advise the 171 euro option and when asked was this refundable on return of the hired vehicle the question was not answered in a way which indicated either way. To my understanding of this kind of situation only one of the cover would have paid out, because they both did the same thing. So, the initial cover was added to the original Car Hire Voucher, making the Aer Car cover null and void. Whichever way I put it to the salesperson they were adamant I needed to pay for a non-refundable insurance, which had a very high possibility of not being used at any point. The Car Hire issued by Jet2 amounted to £240. Yet a small insurance with a very low possibility of a claim being put forward was 171 euros, or around £152 in British money. The situation is really not acceptable. It was not helped as I was sorting out our luggage, looking after my disabled wife and trying to get us to our hotel in the early hours of the morning. After returning from our holiday I have complained to Aer Car. Firstly at Paphos Airport and then their head office in Larnaca. But seems to have the same contact address. The first contact was the only response I had, where I was informed I had no case for a refund ? After the response from Aer Car I complained to Jet2, who have come back with because Aer Car is not part of their company they cannot do anything to help and cannot authorise a refund. I was not asking for a refund from Jet2 in the first instance. I was asking for an investigation as to why holiday makers are charged something completely different from what is issued by Jet2, to be ambushed at Aer Car and charged a non-refundable 171 euros for something which is more than likely not used. Just think how many euros are made by Aer Car per day on this scam/con. They must be making thousands of euros per day on holiday makers naivety. I have read other reviews on this company, where I could have paid 800 euros on my credit card and been caught out on the return of the hired car and they could have found damage/scratches on the vehicle, which would have incurred expenses. In any event Aer Car are not to be trusted with their charging system. Anyone who uses them should do so at their own risk and expect to be out of pocket for things they are not liable for. In conclusion. I was coerced into purchasing an inappropriate insurance, which was non-refundable, with no possibility of refusing the sale person's patter. There was no due care and dilligence or customer care. It was just a case of theft from my bank account for something I did not need.

Took my money for no service, hid behind their terms

They sell their car hire services on platforms like CarTrawler and these platforms hide their special terms and conditions such as your license needs at least three years. So, you show up, get NO SERVICE and they WILL NOT REFUND YOU and they won’t do anything except to tell you to talk to CarTrawler/Ryanair.

Excellent Service and Great Value for Money

I can’t fault the service. After mistakenly booking a car from Paphos instead of Larnaca Airport, I called the office after landing in Cyprus and they changed the booking immediately with no extra charge.The vehicle was a Japanese import 8-seater (more realistically a comfortable 6-seater with two occasional seats). It had higher mileage but was clearly well-maintained and did the job perfectly for our trip.Overall, fantastic value for money — I couldn’t have asked for better service from start to finish.The extra insurance is expensive, but that’s pretty standard for car hire companies. My tip: pay the full deposit and arrange your own car hire excess insurance beforehand for a fraction of the cost.

Horrible service and I took car here over 6 times. Stupid stuff and very low quality people

After being a regular client I have to worn others, the service and even more so the reliability and transparency- are at the lowest, most shocking level.The quality of the cars reflects that as well.I had been in contact with them regarding leasing, and the moment something happened to the car that wasn’t my fault, their true face was revealed.Be careful. Do yourself a favor and go to more respectful companies

hello,disaster, don’t rent a car from Aercar rentals. I made reservation via booking.com to Aercar rentals, paid, and I couldn’t get the car, because I want to go one day trip with car on north cyprus. I called police, becuse they didn’t want to give me money back. After 1 hour, suport of booking.com, they canceled money transaction.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!

PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!! They have up to €1000 hidden charges when you try and collect the car and their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. The cars are very poor condition. You are better off renting from a reputable company which will be more economic and much better quality experience.

Total scammers on insurance

Total scammers on insurance. Avoid at all cost. Request you take out their own insurance at extra cost pre booking the car through a third party. Every one collecting their cars was in the same position. Don’t hire from these thieves

Disappointing experience…

I rented a car from AERCAR in Cyprus for 4 days, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Here’s what happened:I specifically booked a small Suzuki Swift because I liked the car, it’s easy to maneuver, and fuel-efficient. However, they provided me with a Mercedes A200 instead. For some, this might feel like an upgrade, but for me, it wasn’t what I wanted or requested.Upon arrival at the airport, there was no representative present to meet us. The provided contact number was inaccessible, and after waiting for 30 minutes, a driver finally arrived with a list of names — but none of the four families, including mine, were even on the list. It was confusing, though we tried to stay patient.At the office, the receptionists were welcoming but lacked professionalism. They handed me the car inspection document without showing me the car physically. This led to a very unpleasant situation during the car’s return.The rental agreement stated “full-to-full” fuel policy. When I picked up the car, the tank was only 3/4 full (my mistake was not taking a photo of the gauge). Wanting to do the right thing, I filled the tank to full before returning it — actually giving them more fuel than I received. Despite this, they accused me of not following the policy and demanded I refuel again, even threatening to call the police if I refused.This aggressive and unfair behavior completely ruined the end of my vacation. What should have been a simple, smooth experience turned into unnecessary stress and disappointment.I hope this review helps other travelers make an informed decision before renting from this company.

Paphos aercar

Hi!It's not our first experience with the company,usually we had a good experience and everything was perfect,but this time our family of 5 (2 adults 3 children)we meet with an unprofessional person representing the company,unfortunately I don't know his name so I will describe him ,hopefully someone from the management will take action,training for him etc!We arrived in Paphos after 5 hours flight and some 3 hours more in the airport,the person in the office was very rude,arrogant and moody,he îs about 50+ English man,inside the office was no one else ,very quiet day ,relaxed and peaceful ,,usually Cyprus is this way and this person was so rude to my kids and us ,,answering to us monosyllabic,and treating us that will stop making the paperwork if the kids will not be quiet!We try to make a small talk with him but was so negative and making us feel like dirt!This person ruined our first day in lovley Cyprus!I can't believe someone with no empathy,,customer service and politeness to work and represent the company and to make us feel so bad!!!The last day when we came to give back our car was a different man a little bit older ,a local ,but so different story!Very calm,helpful and generally a good person make everything smoothly!I dount understand why you work with people if you dount have the politeness,,positivity and good manners!He ruined our day with his bad vibes and behaviour,I want to rent again because we had in different years good experience,Hopefully he is trained next time haw to deal with customers ,people in general!

The 1000e deposit was charged 120.000…

The 1000e deposit was charged 120.000 in my local currency, and 114500 was returned, so I was basically robbed of 5500 (around 50eur) - pure theft.The exchange rate story doesn't hold water, I already checked with my bank.I was going to be a loyal user but after being robbed 50EUR, I will do my best to get you to return my money or face legal consequences.

I booked a car from AERCAR pathos.

I booked a car from AERCAR pathos.There was no problem booking online I had payed a deposit and already arranged the insurance (full package) When I got there there was new insurance information I did not know about.I’d already chosen full insurance package online but they gave me 3 options, one being pay €50 to be covered, second option was pay €800 and receive it back when dropping the car back and I forgot the third option but I had already agreed insurance on the online contract, I went with the €800 payment option which will be returned as long as you follow the instructions provided at the desk if there are any problems.I was advised I should take pictures of the car for prof of any damages which they all do.The car was covered in dents, cracks and this included a part lose rear bumper.Due to the fact I had paid €800 I took 2 full walk round videos of all the damages and panels of the car.I also decided to only use the car for the two long road trips to my destination and back, as well as two small shopping trips as I was now uncomfortable using the car that was damaged so bad on the chance of losing €800 .When I returned to have the car inspected straight away they said they noticed a crack on the back bumper had I taken any pictures.I showed them the video of the lose clip on the back bumper which was unlined and of the crack they claimed was new which was clearly faded and showed it was old and discoloured.I was then told okay you can have your €800 back but if I had no video evidence I would of been €800 out of pocket so if advise to steer clear as it seems pretty obvious this is a way they make extra income as the car was a bucket.They sent a message for reviews and I think I was a bit to nice with my ratings now I’ve read all the other comments on here.The shuttle bus drivers were great to talk to and very helpful though.A very unpleasant experience.
