Bad customer service and warranty replacement system

I bought a Rambler tumbler from the Yeti store in Santana Row, San Jose, CA. In 35-40 days, I took it back to the store for warranty replacement because the paint had come off at a couple of spots. (I didn't ask for a refund.) The staff looked at it and agreed that it needed warranty replacement. But told me there was nothing they could do at the store, and I should contact customer service online. The online portal asked me a zillion questions and asked me to submit 4-5 photos showing different views of the tumbler. After that, they emailed me asking me to ship it to Yeti. I had to go to the store and buy packaging materials, and pack and ship. I got the warranty replacement in two to three weeks after that. The whole operation cost me more than the price of the tumbler. The store should have resolved my issue there and then.

I had no trouble getting in touch about the warranty—super easy! The only little hiccup was the shipping: the package just showed up without any email heads‑up. But honestly, the forest green color is so beautiful it almost makes up for it!

💚VENOM

I love the color venom. I had to get it before it goes out of stock. The 20 oz. Stackable cups save room and are easy to store. Ordering is easy and they were delivered faster than anticipated. I love Yeti

Warranty??

Item arrived dented. This item was a gift so I figured order another one and send the dented one back. Place my replacement order and started the return process only to find out my item was considered “personalized” due to Yeti having put a baseball team logo all over it ( recipient’s favorite, hence the gift). So I had to warranty replace instead of return and get a refund. So went about canceling my replacement order, only placed a little over an hour before finding out I could not get a refund, just to find out it was too late to cancel my replacement order. So now I can not return for refund my dented bottle and can not cancel my replacement order. What a cluster. So I finished my warranty and asked for a refund instead of replacement, explaining everything above only to be told their warranty process does not work that way. So I am now stuck with two bottles x two charges when I only needed one. I myself have at least four Yeti products and recipient has at least as many if not more. I guess loyalty is not important. Why no refund on a “personalized“ item not personalized by me but by the company selling it. Buyer be warned. Although the warranty was granted it was not worth it.

They done a great job in processing a approval for return but I kept getting emails stating that my cup wasn't returned and they had to cancel my return. I had a tracking number that said it was delivered, so I sent this to the claim email, they sent out a new cup but I still got emails stating they did not receive my return and closed the claim. they did send me a new cup a i received it a few days after the last email.
