What wix doesn't want you to know...I'm a customer of Wix now for a few years and we provide services (in person training). we have it in refund police, terms, condictiones, on checkout process where customers have to agree to that no call, no show, etc... is automatic forfeitures. until now, we have 3 chargebacks and Wix will NOT lift a finger in our favor. We provided all evidence each time with no success, WHY? wix again, does not have our back. First case, it was with Amex, i contacted Amex and because i found out that wix is the middle man between me and another credit card company processing, i have to go through them which they (wix refused) to do this on my behalf and at the end i found out that the actual reason Wix told me was for chargeback it wasnt it, and Amex said we COULD reopen the case but it has to come from the processing company and Wix and that other company (according to wix) refused to do it and we are out of pocked for that case nearly $400. How is this Fair wix? Wix shame on you and customers beware. Either choose a different platform or DO NOT USE wix checkout, payment.

Disappointing Billing Issue
I was charges for an annual subscription after requesting removal from an account I no longer had access to. Refund was denied despite documentation. Disappointing experience with no billing resolution.

They have horrible, unprofessional, customer service. If you can even get to someone, after going back and forth with their AI chat bubble.There are so many other platforms out there that are better. Most definitely would not recommend using Wix as a new business owner. They will rob you blind.

Research the reliability of tech experts recommend by Wix
Wix is very good to use but staff made a mistake that unintentionally put me in harm's way. My low rating is meant to call attention to the need for Wix users to be careful in one area. I was contacted by Wix to say that there were two security issues with my site which I needed to pay to have fixed (US$250 and US$150). Fine. To be helpful, they recommended a tech expert that they trusted. So I worked with him. Wix didn't offer the name of his company and I didn't think to ask for it in order for me to research it myself. I now urge every Wix client called upon to do similiar site maintenance to take this step!!! Because Wix was pressuring me to get the work started within 24 hours or my site would be "blackballed", and because Wix had vouched for this guy, and because I had immense trouble paying him (I don't own a business which can do money transfers), I trusted him enough to follow his instructions to pay him via his partner's bank account from mine... I didn't give my passcode, yet the partner or the tech hacked enough into my bank account to: steal CD$5,000 from my line of credit, find and share away my debit card number (attempts upon which my bank declined) and sent me an elaborate scam in my own city which tried to bilk me of $2,000 using the same card. I now have to take advanced measures to protect my identity for the rest of my life. Wix was horrified and very upset about what this trusted tech had done to me. Had I known that this tech's company -- Xshield Solutions -- was based in the country most notorious for phone and online scams (especially since the scam farms in Myanmar have been destroyed), this location would have been a screaming red flag for me and I would have been infinitely more wary! I hope Wix never again uses the services of people from that country. How sad that a country with so much human and resources capital will never be a good country because of its rotten core of predatory criminality!

Per my previous review, I was contacted directly by a representative from Wix.com. During our conversation, I was able to clearly explain that my concern was not about avoiding payment, but simply about refunding the original credit card that I intended to replace and charging the updated card already on file.As a customer of Wix.com for over 8 years, I appreciated the opportunity to finally have the situation fully understood. The representative reviewed the matter and processed the refund to the original card. I then used my updated credit card on file to purchase the premium services again.My concern has now been properly resolved.Thank you for taking the time to listen to a long-term customer and for correcting the issue. That level of resolution deserves a 5-star update.

Due to people leaving, the notifications on renewal were missed. Had contacted Wix immediately after credit card was billed.After making me go through 4 whole weeks of authenticating my identity, they did not make any exemptions for the refund. Wix, you may have taken my company's money in the short term, but you have lost me as a customer

I am extremely disappointed with the way my subscription renewal has been handled.I was not sent any renewal reminder prior to payment being taken, despite previously requesting notifications. Taking payment before the active subscription period has ended without adequate notice is unacceptable and leaves customers without a fair opportunity to cancel.I have been informed that sending renewal reminders is considered a “courtesy” rather than an obligation. However, when a customer has specifically requested reminders, failing to provide them while still automatically charging payment is poor practice and demonstrates a lack of transparency.As a customer, I expect clear communication regarding upcoming renewals and fair billing practices. Automatically renewing services without proper notice, then refusing refunds, creates significant dissatisfaction and undermines trust.

Terrible company. I closed my account in October 2024 - I cannot even log into the platform therefore it’s impossible for me to have a subscription and they’ve taken £600 form my account and will not refund me. Squarespace is a much better platform & incredible customer service.

Do NOT register a domain with Wix. They hold the domain name hostage. When you ask for an EPP code, they told us we needed to sign up for a $29 hosting account first. ILLEGAL! If you register here you will have a GIANT fight with Wix to move, or even change the Name Servers. They don't allow it.Run away from this company.

Had Wix websites for 10 years or more. Every day gets harder and harder to log in. Harder and harder to edit the site. If it wasn’t such a pain I would have dumped it a year ago. If you’re looking for a new platform for your website look somewhere else.

Not a slight change of the extremely rigid terms of use
We’ve started using Wix for our organisation 2 years ago, but we rapidly stopped using the platform to internal changes in the organisation.2 years later, an automatic payment is taken from my credit card without any notification for an automatic renewal of the Wix service: another 2 years of website which will not be used: 363€.After multiple attempts to the Wix service support, no slight change in this situation can come from the seemingly extremely rigid terms of use. Even the Wix notification one month earlier wasn’t received in the spam folder of the organisation website, and no help is offered for an otherwise totally forgotten service from 2 years.I’m quite disappointed in the rigid and non-human-kind way of communication of the Wix contact. Anyone can see that the website has been unused for the past 18 months, that no logins have been made nor any change in the website, that we don’t need the service anymore. And even though an rigid terms of service is needed to run a business, some kind of slight « coming to the way of the customer » helps with customer satisfaction and reputation.Being myself in the service industry as well, it’s not about the product: it’s about the human connection.

Wix Studio! What is this?????????? Nothing works properly! The Wix Classic is great, and I edit my main website in there, and it works perfectly in all platforms. Now, I need a new website, and since I'm accustomed to Wix, I've opened and paid for a new one. IT'S HORRIBLE, and it's making me cry for so many headaches that it's causing me!!! I have to do 3 different websites all the time, desktop, tablet, and phone. Sometimes, from nothing, the phone stuff simply disappears in thin air! Then the spacing on the editor is nice and pretty, but when I publish, it's everything all over the place across all platforms! Same with font size. Different titles in the same container now, because different containers didn't work either, and one or two titles are in different sizes, but they are looking good on the editor! When I publish, the titles are different. I CAN NOT trust Wix for this anymore! HORRIBLE! I'm constantly changing stuff because it doesn't stay in place. I make columns, I stack everything, I move this and that, and nothing works! Give me my CLASSIC back! I've been trying to build my 2nd website for more than a week now. I'm losing money because of you! ANSWER: Start fresh? Yes, I did start fresh with another subscription!! A guy named Jeffe made me cancel my subscription and pay for another one, because according to him, I can't switch from Studio to Classic, and the only way to start using Classic would be with another Premium subscription. So, unless Jeffe was wrong and trying to sell another subscription, you only want to look good here. He assured me there's no way to use the same subscription to build in Classic, when you use Studio to start it. I had to cancel.I spent 2 weeks trying to make it work in Studio. I made a website. The problem is NOTHING stays in place, and no matter what I do in the editor, it looks completely different and wrong in the actual site!Meanwhile, I did a brand new website from scratch in 2 hours in Classic.Am I dumb? I'm not dumb. Studio is rubbish, unless you want to code! But you channel everyone to Studio instead of making the choice obvious. We have to guess where we're going right from the beginning. A novice is always trapped! I will continue to work with Wix, but I will definitely NOT recommend it to anyone else!

I have tried to contact WIX.COM to ask for a refund since I already cancelled my subscription and the fact that the renewal of my subscription will take effect on the 28 Feb 2026 and I cancelled my subscription before that, WIX.COM should refund my money.Connor from WIX.COM replied to this review however he did not do anything anymore. He did not look into the details and reach out to me. I have provided my details to them but they did not reach out to me to help and refund my money.Now, whenever I want to write a review, I cannot do it anymore. This company charged me and claimed it was paid and cannot be refunded yet they said they would if it was within a few days which it was They stole a large amount of money from me, claiming they had a reason and right to do it but that's a lie. They took money from me that was saved for something important. Wix is garbage and I will never use them .................................................................................again. They suck and I have nothing nice to say. my domain was idle for over a year, and they did nothing, but mysteriously they charged me the day after I finally found out how to cancel my account. I'am so angry and I demand a full refund immediately and connor, I,ll be happy to discuss more as long as you are open to reunding my money, I'm open to softening my stance if I can get a refund and based on my situation I know it is warranted. Do not buy a domain through this site
Do not buy a domain through this company! Advertised as £7.90 a year. Bought the domain with loads of added extras ended up being £20+ a year. Then got told we have to buy a premium subscription to actually use the domain, which is minimum £9 a month and comes with a free domain anyways! Called up customer service and told them I want either a refund for the domain I got that will be given to be free through the subscription or 2 months free subscription to make up for misleading subscriptions, and instead got told to take my business elsewhere. So so misleading

In spite of the difficulties of doing so I have just transfered one of my web sites to webador and emails to fasthosts and the other one will go in April. Following the taking of money from my account using my bank card which is well documented and undefended where I took wix to the small claims court and won back the money they stole, there is no way on earth where we would be prepared to continue any form of relationship with wix. I found the webador web site even easier to create any way. It now cost zero for the two email addresses with fasthost as they included two for free with the domain name. It is better for us to control our domain names like this than to by over charged for emails.

Very disappointed with the way my refund request was handled.I was automatically enrolled in an annual subscription for my business website. Wix.com charged me a colossal amount two weeks before the renewal subscription was due to start.I contacted them within 24 hours of noticing the payment to request a refund and cancel the subscription, as I do not want to continue at that price. Yesterday, I spent over four hours on chat and on the phone trying to resolve this issue. I was passed from one team to another, and eventually told that the finance team would get back to me by email.They refused to refund me, stating that according to their terms and conditions, cancellations must be made 14 days before the payment is taken. However, the subscription itself only starts 14 days after they take the payment. I find it unreasonable that they cannot refund a service that has not even begun yet and has not been used.I would not recommend this company to anyone. There are many other, more affordable options available with much better customer service.
