No warranty card for a $6000 camera?
I bought a R1 Canon camera from tri-state camera. I told them on the phone before I bought it I was 100% disabled combat veteran and on a fixed income. I specifically asked if it was a USA version and came with the warranty and they said yes.The camera arrives and it’s obviously open box at best, packing materials are not OEM Cannon various pieces floating around with no packaging at card at all. NO WARRANTY CARD! If you’re cool with buying a $6000 camera with no warranty call these guys they’ll hook you up. PLEASE DO NOT SAVE THE 10% BY BUYING FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAILS AND THEY WILL SCREW YOU

2 Orders, 2 Problems - Bait & Switch Scam!
I've ordered twice online over the last year from Tri-State Camera, but no more. The first time I was sent an international version of an item instead of a U.S. version. The second time the wrong item was sent. In both cases, there was either no response or a 2 week delay from customer service through the website. Calling them didn't help either, when I could get someone to pick up. Good luck getting a return label. Refund for the second item took 2 support tickets, 3 web contacts, 3 phone calls and 29 DAYS. BEWARE.

Credit card fraud tied to Tristate purchase
Ordered camera batteries early 2025. The purchase/delivery was fine, but this morning received alerts that my credit card had suspicious charges (Dodger stadium, dental seminar). Went to look at the virtual card number from the suspicious charges and that was the one used at Tristate camera and only at Tristate camera. So, they either have an employee using credit cards or they have an insecure online shop.

Bad experience
I found a camera lens with good price and bought it. Next day they cancelled it. Not trustable.

I just now went looking for reviews for…
I just now went looking for reviews for this company, TriStateCamera and I see the bad reviews from some people. I, on the other hand have been 100% satisfied with my purchases from this company. 3 years ago I ordered a Canon T7i camera and kit lens. Brand new still in the original box with all the accessories. Zero count on the shutter. I now have as of today, April 29, 2023, 7859 shutter count on my camera. It is a good camera for what I shoot...landscape, birds, and action shots. About 4 days after I ordered the camera, it was delivered! A year later, I ordered a Nifty Fifty lens from TriStateCamera. With the same speedily delivery as before, I am well pleased with this lens. I would not hesitate to order from TriStateCamera in the future for my photography needs. I am in no way associated with this company, but I am a satisfied customer. I just now read the 'Date of Experience' info thingie in the space below and it says it should be for the last 12 months. I'm still going to submit this review. I could 'stretch the truth' (lie) and say this happened very recently but I will not lie. It won't let me submit this review because it is out of the 1 year window. Delete if not allowed.Kudos to TriStateCamera!

No Refunds!
I ordered a set of binoculars for $500, and I changed my mind and cancelled them the next day and after 10 days and multiple calls and emails I have not been able to get a refund. I filed a PayPal Dispute and I hope that helps. I would never buy anything here again.

These guys have great prices and great service.
These guys have great prices and great service. I've ordered from them a couple of times over the years and have always had a good experience. New product, unopened box, delivered on time, for the price agreed.. basically they do what they say and say what they do.

Company is operating a grey zone
Company is selling imported "grey" products which can't be serviced by the manufacturer. Even if product is out of warranty, the manufacturer is refusing to service a broken product. Be aware of the scam selling tactics from this company. There are no information on their website about this practice anywhere to be found.

Horrible and dishonest company
Horrible company, simply horrible. I placed an online order for a refurbished HP 4100 printer that was supposed to be in stock according to the ad I found using Google shopping, around $250.00 including an extended warranty. Paid using Paypal. About ten days pass with no shipping notification so I called them and was told that oh that wasn't in stock, hard to find you know, hrump, hrump, but we have another that is "factory" refurbished and you know that extended warranty you paid for is an old product that we no longer sell. They said for $150.00 more I could get the "factory" refurbished printer and the "new" extended warranty that included free shipping to return the printer if any work needed done. Now I am half smelling a rat on this, bait and switch tactic, but these 4100 printers are awesome so after verifying they had it in stock "at their company warehouse in Wisconsin" and could ship quickly I gave them my credit card for the extra $150.00. I call three days later asking where the shipping notification was and was given a grand story about their internet being down, no computers, no phones (I was talking to him on their main number), and the "Chicago" warehouse couldn't ship until they completed the order. But I was assured it would ship that Friday and he would email the shipping notification. Six days pass, no shipping notification, so I call and asked for the manager. Who profusely apologizes, says my card was never charged for some reason and the order was awaiting. After ten minutes they find the info on someone's desk I was told, they hadn't processed the order. He asked if I wanted to complete the order which would take about six days to have ready from their "Kansas" warehouse or cancel the order and refund all the money.Refund all the money I told him, DO NOT CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD, I told him. This was around 1 pm.Five pm they charged my credit card for the additional $150.00!I got on Paypal and filed a complaint on the original $250.00 order but they wouldn't let me contest the second fraudulent payment of $150.00 so I called them and explained the situation and they agreed it was a non consensual charge and started a complaint. Then they had to delete the old credit card as the number had been fraudulently used. You know how that is, dozens of online bills or accounts or apps on the phone using the number, so you have to spend a few hours going through deleting card info.About three weeks later I get all the money refunded and a week later I get the new card. I bet I had eight hours tied up in this mess.Do not do business with this company! They knowingly charged my card AFTER I told them not to. I was without a printer for about three weeks due to screwing with these crooks and going to the self service printer every day for shipping labels. I figured a week was doable, then it turned into three weeks and another three weeks to get my money back.

Bought 2 units of Canon camera Elph 180 for USD84.99 each. The websitementions it's brand new. But actually received refurbish ones. That's suck.
