Sent five emails to Trek Shrewsbury

Sent five emails to Trek Shrewsbury. Then made Four telephone calls, three with no reply and one when I believe the manager answered. He promised to recheck for my emails and if couldn’t see them, one of his team would call.Three weeks later no call!!

Brakes leaked fluid and had to be replaced on new bike

Purchased a Verve hybrid trek bike on 3/1/22. Brakes started leaking fluid after 3 years, to the point where the brakes did not work. I had to replace both brakes with Shimano brakes. I was told by the bike shop where I had my brakes replaced it was a known issue with Trek bikes. The brakes they had on those bikes were defective. Tried to get some compensation from Trek, but was told only 2 year warranty on parts. This bike was ridden maybe 100 miles in total. VERY UNHAPPY with TREK. I will never buy another bike from them

Spent 3,000.00 on an electric bike

Spent 3,000.00 on an electric bike. Screen went bad. Three weeks later I still don’t have it fixed. Called the dealer. Said ai just need to be patient. I really liked the bike but will not upgrade or buy another one for my wife. Unfortunate. Trek needs to do better.

It is heartbreaking for me to write this.

It is heartbreaking for me to write this, but my faith in Trek has been deeply shattered. I have literally toured around the lower United States and spent $1,000s on my bicycle, upgrades, gear, and service. During this self-supported tour I upgraded my stock aluminum wheels to carbon; a purchase of slightly more than $1,000. These wheels are guaranteed under Trek’s warranty program, but after the rear wheel axle suffered a failure, I have to wait at least a month for a replacement. What really saddens me is that Trek is not working hard to get me back on my bike while I wait for my new rear wheel; perhaps pull a compatible wheel off a store bike so I can get back on the road. I am now forced to seriously consider another bicycle manufacturer for my next tour, which will be through Europe. …I am so very sad.

Very disappointing experience.

Very disappointing experience.I ordered four items costing over $500, which took nearly three weeks to arrive—well past the two-week timeframe I needed them for a cycling event. When the package finally arrived, only two of the four items were included. I had to source the missing equipment elsewhere at additional cost. Despite contacting customer service multiple times by phone and email, I’ve still not received a refund for the missing items after more than two weeks. Poor communication, slow service, and incorrect order fulfillment — I do not recommend buying from this company.

Brilliant customer service!!

After riding a Madone Gen 6 for three years I decided to upgrade to a Madone Gen 8. This bike is seriously fast and feels a lot lighter than the Gen 6. After 3 rides on it I got a puncture, a screw went into the rear tyre. After close inspection the screw had went right through the rim tape and carbon as well ☹️After phoning Trek they told me to take it to the shop I purchased it from to check if it was repairable or not.The local bike shop I went to put in a warranty claim and within 5 days I had a new rear wheel free of charge and the bike was back on the road again.I'd like to thank Trek Bikes for their excellent customer support and to James and the team at Fife Cycles Leuchars Scotland for getting me back on the road so quickly. If you are ever looking for a new or used Trek or parts be sure to visit their website. Thanks again guys

Nice bike with flawed motor

What started as a nice quiet electric bike soon turned in to a noisy mess. Frame creaks, then motor went after very little mileage and now it needs to go in for a 2nd motor. Thats 2 motors in under 14months with barely any mileage on them and certainly no hard riding. Seems the TQ50 motor is flawed and unreliable. Shame really. Won't buy another Trek as once this one is 2 years old there is no warranty on the motor and its a good £900-£1000 to replace.

Trek poor customer communications.

I bought a trek madone sir bike 4 years ago which had a structural issue and had to be warranted out. My complaint with trek is the issue took 6 weeks to resolve with no communication back to me the owner who paid $8500 dollars. The customer service reps are generally nice but are horrible at getting back to you with status. One rep told me everything was resolved and shipped, then i find out they did not ship everything and had failed to inform me or the bikeshop. Internally they have a horrible communication system. I had to call no less than 10 times over the course of 6 weeks to get this resolved. In the end they were able to resolve my issue and I am happy with the result.

Excellent Quality and Service

Ordering a Trek bike was a smooth and straightforward process. The delivery was fast, and the bike arrived well-packaged and in perfect condition. The build quality is excellent — solid, reliable, and exactly as described.Customer service was helpful and professional, keeping me updated throughout the process. Everything from ordering to receiving the bike went seamlessly.I’m very satisfied with both the product and the service, and I would definitely recommend Trek to others.

5 Stars – Comfortable, Stylish, and Safe!

I recently bought two Electra Go! helmets from Trek and couldn’t be happier with both purchases.I got the Electra Go! Mips Bike Helmet in Rose Quartz for my 23-year-old daughter, who is a daily bike commuter in Seattle. She absolutely loves the color and says it's the most comfortable helmet she’s ever owned. The fit is perfect, and the stylish design makes her excited to wear it every day.For myself, I chose the Electra Go! Bike Helmet in Teal/Green with light—and it’s fantastic. The built-in blinking lights give me extra peace of mind when riding in low-light conditions, and the color is even more beautiful in person. Plus, it fits like a dream—super comfortable for longer rides.Highly recommend these helmets for anyone who values both safety and style!

Faulty Gloves

I ordered new gloves but unfortunately there was a fault with them and a flaw with the stitching, it happens. I emailed Trek and after sending them pictures as evidence they responded immediately and dispatched new gloves. No quibble. This happened within a 24 hour period. Great service.

Great customer service

Bought a Trek FX+2, which I loved riding but had some issues with. Contacted Trek and they resolved quickly, and very much in my favour, replacing the bike with a brand new model (which was far more expensive) at their cost. Trek stands by their name and they have a customer for life with me.

Having owned many Trek's over the…

Having owned many Trek's over the years, I decided that I would get a second, and update into an E-bike. I shopped around for the better part of 6 months, as the latest models with some good updates were coming out. I didn't get last years models, the shop that I went to required a full deposit on the bike - at $4400, that was 3 months ago. The E-bike has pushed back now 4 times and will not arrive until September 2025, minimally. On the website for Trek - their CEO gives his email address and tells you to reach out to him, after addressing it to the local dealership to answer why is it delayed - they had no idea. The customer service didn't know. And the CEO wouldn't return an email nor would anyone at Trek. This tells you the story doesn't it ? I am very disappointed that I am waiting, but that's a first world problem. I am offended that the store couldn't get info on why the delays and were not receptive to me asking. I am hugely disappointed at the CEO who wants to hear from people, and then doesn't reply. SMH. Will I cancel the order - no, I want the bike( they have treated me right over the years ), should I cancel - yes, out of spite.

Trek n’assume pas les garanties sur vélos haut de gamme. Trek don’t assume the warrants on high end bikes.

At this price point, one expects flawless quality and exemplary customer service. Unfortunately, my experience with Trek has been quite the opposite. The bike was delivered assembled by an authorized professional dealer, who advised me to ride it a few times before adjusting certain components (saddle, tires, stem). I followed this advice and rode the bike four times for about an hour each, before bringing it back for final adjustments. At that point, the dealer discovered a manufacturing defect on one of the Bontrager carbon wheels (original equipment on the bike). This defect was reported to Trek, who acknowledged the issue, but simply offered to… replace the defective wheel with one of a different color (!), because the original version is already discontinued, less than two weeks after receiving a supposedly brand-new, high-end bike.Even worse: Trek is asking me to purchase the second matching wheel myself, offering only a 20% discount — in other words, I’m being asked to pay even more to compensate for their own manufacturing defect. This is completely unacceptable — even scandalous.Trek sells bikes for over €10,000 but refuses to take full responsibility when defects occur. Their after-sales policy is an insult to the customer.Avoid at all costs if you expect any level of seriousness, respect, or proper warranty support.

Domane+ unreliable

Domane+ AL5 has been continually broken been in the shop 9 weeks out of 14 less than 100 miles covered. Trek store also have caused damage minor but still annoying and something i have to live with. The geometry of bike and non Electric components seem great. Seems like a good platform in what has a essentially been a long expensive test ride. Will update when I get bike back one day.

A product that I believe in 100%

I have had nothing but great experience withTrek Bicycle I would definitely give them a five star thumbs up. I don’t think they were as good as they are now say five years ago they got a lot of good parts on them now they do stand behind their name just like I’m probably gonna buy one.

Paint work shocking …

Having bought a trek verve 1 step through E bike for my wife. I can say that we have been impressed with the ease of cycling and the distance covered with the 300 watt battery. My only gripe is that the paintwork is shocking. If you brush anything against it it leaves a mark and if you chip it suddenly a 1mm chip becomes 3 mm chip as the paint flakes off from around the area. So you have to be really careful not to touch the frame when putting any d locks on or any chains even though our chains and d locks are protected as you risk marking the paint. Knowing what I know now we wouldn’t have bought the bike and it would certainly put me off buying a mens electric bike from Trek.
