I love The Knot

I could not be more pleased with how The Knot has helped me grow my business! I own a wedding venue in Austin and started advertising with them before we opened. In our first year we booked 114 weddings and I attribute alot of our success to the couples that found us on the Knot! I have been advertising with them for 5 years and I can't imagine running my business without the Knot!

The Knot services are fake and they are misleading the public.

I requested to advertise my company with the Knot, this was a one time advertisement. However, without my permission I was referred to The Wedding Wire and Wedding Pro, these two companies I was not familiar with. I completed my ad only to find out that I designed what they called a”storefront” and proceeded to charge me $99 per month. This charge I was not aware of and was told I signed a 12 month contract which I did not. In addition, Wedding Wire added information to my “storefront” without my permission. Now they are suing me for services I did not want nor requested. The couples who contacted me were fake, you can only email them and my emails were never returned. I did not make a connection with anyone. The Knot in my opinion is providing fake contacts and is misleading the public. Do not use their services.

Mixed bag

The knot was great for a free service, allowing you to build a free website, track the guest list, managing the cash registry, and make a checklist. It was however a bit hard to use with many weird broken pathways were things would either only work on a computer or on the phone app. Also, absolutely do not use the the hotel booker. It would never let me sign in - an issue their customer service could not fi,x and then they would not stop emailing me asking about where I was staying, even asking how my stay was in a hotel we didn't book. Overall, a really mixed bag. We did find some good vendors - but I'd also always Google them or talk in person before booking.

Terrible

Terrible website, terrible set-up. Your basically getting your registry through evil companies with terrible business practices like amazon and target. At the very most maybe just use it to collect addresses and track guests. Just another bullshit product from the sham of a country that is The USA. The Knot is awful.

Do not buy anything from this website

Do not buy anything from this website. The quality is horrible. I ordered Sab the dates and it looked like something I could have printed at home on my computer. I am highly disappointed.

Only use the Knot for the checklist, nothing else

The Knot is very helpful with their planning tools, specifically the checklist. However the website and registry user experience is extremely frustrating and convoluted. I got so fed up with it that I created a website on a different platform and deleted my Know account, however it still remains searchable. I have contacted service three times to remove any mention of my wedding so that my guests don't keep contacting me asking for information but it still hasn't been removed. At the bare minimum, the Knot should have a feature that actually removes a wedding website and registry information. Other ways that they can improve is the user experience for cash funds and the website functionality and design can be improved.

I was extremely pleased with my the staff and attention to detail.

I was extremely pleased with my daughters boy/girl brunch held at 26 West on the Navesink. The staff was wonderful and immediately put as all at ease. The food was delicious and served in a timely matter.

You need to update your attire on your website. You need…

You need to update your attire You need to have a business casual setting. For my generation(40/50’s+) formal is tuxedo and evening gown but I’ve been invited to a wedding where the wedding party thinks formal is a suit and not a tuxedo. Think you need to go across the board for formal (tuxedo and evening gown) to semi formal( suit with tie and formal dress) to business casual( suit without jacket and tie and dress/pantsuit) to casual. Not all generations know what others think as formal.

There vendor reviews are misleading

There vendor reviews are misleading. I wrote a less than perfect review for a photographer I used and they took it down because I hired her thru my wedding planner bs directly thru her. Do not trust any of their reviews.

Horrible

Horrible. I wish we had used a different site. The RSVP section is glitchy and deleted our guestlist twice. The registry won't load on the website we made and it is impossible to get a hold of anyone to fix it. Looking through vendors on it is maybe the only thing it is good for and even that has it's problems.

Predatory Practices Against Small Businesses

Enough is pretty much said with other vendors, but they lock you in with the guise of "you can cancel anytime", but continue to gauge money out of your bank account every month. I tried to delete my account, said it was all good then got billed the next month. I ordered a "block payment" from my bank, but they still managed to bypass that and get my money. I froze the card on file and got a new card... THEY STILL WERE ABLE TO TAKE MONEY OUT!!! I've tried calling and got hung up on. Fudge these guys and I hope they go under.

If you are a vendor, do not do business with The Knot.

I am hopping on here to complain about The Knot and encourage other vendors NOT to join their platform. I wish someone would've told me these things while I was signing up!!

In May 2025, I signed up for WeddingPro (AKA The Knot) as a way to get our business in front of new customers and potentially book more weddings. On my first sales call, the woman I spoke with made several promises to me about how WeddingPro would be a game-changer for my business, specifically since they only advertise to warm leads within the wedding industry. She showed me lots of numbers and data that looked really promising, and made me feel like this would be a good move for my business. While I definitely felt pressured into signing up on that initial sales call, I ultimately had a good feeling about working with the company, and I was willing to take the risk.Fast forward to August 2025, when I cancelled the renewal of my contract due to an extreme lack of professionalism from the platform. At that point in time, I had not booked a single event after spending more than $1,600 for the "privilege" to list my business on their websites. My main complaint as a business owner and former Marketing Manager?
➡️ I believe that businesses should have the option to discontinue ads at any time if they're not performing well. I like to feel that I am in control of my business and its performance. I like having the flexibility and option to pivot at any moment when unexpected needs arise, plans change, finances change, and our goals evolve. With WeddingPro, you don't have this option. Once you are locked into a 12-month contract, you cannot avoid the monthly advertising fee. You cannot pause or cancel your subscription. You give up control of your business.

Ultimately, WeddingPro comes across to me as a platform that OVERpromises value and massively UNDERdelivers to its vendors. With other platforms, my go-to advertising strategy is to spend more money when ads are performing well, and turn ads off when they stop delivering results. I can't do this with WeddingPro. As mentioned previously, I am locked into a 12-month contract at $400/month that promises NO guaranteed clicks, NO minimum guaranteed leads, and NO results.

If I were given the option at any moment to pause or cancel my subscription (in other words: discontinue that $400 monthly payment), I don't think I would be so angry with the product. However, while I genuinely believe that WeddingPro could've be a good fit for my company (assuming the platform could deliver results), the fact that I am "locked in" to a 12-month contract is simply not okay.Let me be clear: The Knot / Wedding Wire / WeddingPro is a scam.

Given the ever-changing nature of our current economy (and the volatility of the wedding industry as a whole), it is not okay that they "lock in" their customers to a FAKE advertising subscription.During the sign-up process, I was promised benefits such as "at least 3 bookings per week" according to my sales rep, who told me that (quote): "reaching sales goals through WeddingPro is a piece of cake." I have not received enough value from this platform to justify the cost. My team hasn't broken even on what we've spent, and we have yet to recoup or break even on our advertising expenses. In the 8 months we have been on the platform, I have spent about $3,210 and booked a total of three weddings. We earned a grand total of $1,925 in profit from those events. I am posting these numbers for the sake of transparency, because I have lost a total of $1,285 over the last 8 months after choosing to advertise with WeddingPro.I believe that, despite my best efforts to optimize my storefront, I will likely continue to lose money as the months pass. That is why I am posting this PSA: If you are interested in becoming a vendor with WeddingPro (AKA Wedding Wire / The Knot), I would advise you to think again. Their support team is not helpful, their billing tactics are sleezy, and I am frustrated to be LOSING money on a platform that promised it would help my business to grow.CONTEXT: I am a wedding professional who has been in the industry for 5 years now. On average, my business makes about $2-5k in revenue per event. About $500-1k of that is profit. We book anywhere between 3-6 events per month.

Misleading company hides the truth in…

Misleading company hides the truth in small print. A friend purchased the Royal Caribbean “Gift Card” for us. However, it is truly just a coupon for a full priced cruise. No cash value with Royal at all. Royal does not even refer to it as a gift card as The Knot does. Royal calls it a certificate. A gift card is like cash within a company and can be used like cash. A certificate or coupon often have many stipulations. For The Knot to call this a gift card then hide then change it in the small print to certificate is like a bait and switch move. The Knot would have otherwise earned 4 stars. However, deception eliminated their credibility all together. They had no interest in making things right even with the deceptive tactic they pulled on us. I now have a worthless $200 certificate because I book my cruises discounted with Club Royale. The certificate cannot be used for discounted cruises, beverage, packages, dinner, packages, excursions, retail products on board or on their websites. Absolutely worthless unless your booking a full price new cruise.

i am mother of the bride

i am mother of the bride. Do not use Liz. My hair is fine and I wanted it blown straight and in a bob. Liz was the hairdresser chosen by bombshell Mellisa to do my daughters entire bridal party. Liz did a terrible job on my hair. She overloaded it with product and it became stick and flat and she tried dry shampoo and only got it half out. The other girls all had thick curly hair and did up dosand they were fine.

Extremely poor experience with Hitched UK, The Knot needs to review its UK operations

I’ve had a shocking experience with Hitched (part of The Knot Worldwide) as a supplier. After months of paying for a listing that produced almost no meaningful leads, poor support, and multiple unresolved complaints, my account was eventually deleted without my consent, even though my complaint was still open. The level of support I received was appalling. Different staff every time, no accountability, and endless delays. “Catch-up” and “review” meetings were pointless and offered nothing useful. When challenged, management simply stopped communicating and shut the account down instead of fixing the issue. For a global brand like The Knot Worldwide, this is an embarrassment. The UK division is mishandling supplier relationships and damaging the company’s reputation. I strongly urge The Knot Worldwide’s senior leadership to investigate the way Hitched UK operates and how it treats small businesses.I would not recommend any supplier to invest in Hitched until there is accountability, transparency, and meaningful support.

Do not make a reservation through the Knot website. My reservation confirmation rates were not honored. I was charged $100 more per night. Trisha Ann from Lodging Support has been no help. After contacting the place I stayed, they shared that the Knot had not sent them the rates that my confirmation stated. Everything is time stamped and I'm currently looking at legal advice because I have a feeling that I'm not the only person that this has happened to.

deleting reviews and not returning them even after all documentation has been provided is absurd. why even bother collecting reviews if you cater to the company and not the genuine customer.

The website doesn't load half the time

The website doesn't load half the time, there's always some sort of error occurring, and the UI for building a wedding website is downright awful. If I could plan my wedding all over again, I would NOT use this website, it is my greatest regret of the entire planning process.

They already know

I think this company should know the people they hire to entertain children or adults represents the knot. I recently saw a post by an entertainer they hire thst was disturbing. This guy DJ Anthony Lamb thinks posting memes glorifying pedophilia is ok. I don't and I believe people hiring him should know this. He is not someone I would want around my child
