I tried it and I am not happy with this. I definitely will not use it for any other of my projects, and I don't recommend it. I regret deeply trying this service. NOT RECOMMEND

They stopped my project for a unpaid…

They stopped my project for a unpaid bill 16 usd and only 10 days past. I lost many customers because of this and a lot of money. Moving my DB today to another service. Thanks Supabase, you are the worst.

They have been charging my company for…

They have been charging my company for ghost compute we haven't been using. We where supposed to pay 25$ per month and we have been charge for more than 300$ ! The support doesn't answer and compute is still accumulate every day. We feel like Stuck with Supabase, I do not recommend

Free plan (almost) useless

Free plan (almost) useless - they keep pausing! I am so annoyed by this, I barely unpause and they message me again that they are about to pause my project. It is a small project, taking up like a few MB, yet they keep pausing and pausing, trying to push free users to their paid plan - what an unethical company! Because of this, I stopped using them altogether.

Not for serious production work

It's impossible to do productive work on supabase. I could not connect to Postgres through my IDE because of an infuriating limitation of their network setup. They require you to buy an add-on to be able to connect from ipv4. The webapp kept logging me out every 30 minutes or so. I would spend minutes crafting a query only to lose it when I click to add a new tab because of a bug.They have frequent downtime. Nowehere near Firebase in terms of quality and reliability

They’re causing us huge damage

They’re causing us huge damage — we’ve been stuck for days and no one is responding. If you’re a serious company, you definitely can’t work with them; they’re outrageous.

i went over their limits as a free user…

i went over their limits as a free user because i had some bugs that drained egress, guess what, they didn't make me buy a plan or shut the project down , they gave a grace period until chargeable period renews , and then if i run over again they will take action but for now just let me work on my project.you cant ask better than this!

Beyond frustrating! AVOID

Beyond frustrating! AVOID. They wait a week (or less it seems) and then pause your project. It amazes me how these tech startups always seem to dream up stupid ways to p*ss off their new customers. Ridiculous... look elsewhere. Just go with Google Firebase... free and will not shut you down after a few days.

only for devs

only for devsunfortunately I have to use this as a database for lovable, it's really not intuitive and the tutorial speakers use words that they do not explain. With lovable being so easy to use I'd expect supabase to be the same. I'm sure it's got all the functionality it just is not usable for regular folk yet. For example I asked lovable to set up databases to store form fills from customers, seemed to work, but now there's an error where customer data is apparetly not encrypted - this really shouldn't be possible. Furthermore, you have to pay for security aspects which is ludicrous

Total waste of human and financial resources

We have been on Supabase for almost three months and it simply does not function or help at all and we are in the process of closing down our account and migrate. Each update causes drastic issues to our web application and after each update most of the crucial data are lost and we need to conduct a comprehensive manual checks. Their AI assistance is simply a joke because it provides instructions based on old Supabase's UI and has not even been updated with recent changes made to Supabase's UI and dashboard.

Warning

as successfull enterpreneur i can warn you guys, do NOT touch supabase. there are thousand of others; supabase charging ALL the ways they propably can . absolutely greedy. For that price you get a whole ton of better offers + support 24/7 in several languages for any topic. I was shocked when i just noticed how greedy they really are and im not wondering anymore that many people with a certain professionalism will not use supabase, instead their strategy is based on "catch-the-fools and lazy users" by cooperating with AI companies - and if you have an eye on these AI companies, they come and they go. They just keep their "one-run" strategy and no futuristic or real extensions. The shistory is repeating. Stay aware of AI in general but at least from supabase, we quit ALL our services at supabase. and changed to US Company instead.

The Dashboard is buggy

The Dashboard is buggy, im a pro plan and my project went into pause for no reason, now my project say pausing its been over a week, i cant do nothing its stuck on pausing even tho i am on pro plan, there is no unpause button nothing

Customer support treats you condescendingly

If you do decide to use Supabase, just know that their discord moderators are a) not helpful, and b) extremely mean; in particular, "garyaustin". I don't know why he does customer support when he clearly dislikes it.Their youtube videos have near zero explanation power - they just hand hold you without you understanding what you're doing, so then you resort to their Discord channel, only to be treated with contempt.However, they get a lot of brownie points when you reach out to their _real_ customer support (non-discord). Those guys are extremely knowledgeable and helpful! Thank you, Brian!

Horrid experience

Horrid experience. no support on free plan however I am close to being enabling supebase for a very big app making me a huge potential customer. The issue is around missing access to cors settings, to allow connection to a storage bucket.I will move to firebase
