Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service. The website boasts outstanding customer service free returns etc etc. In practice this means a grumpy woman without basic manners declining to honour the free return policy. Avoid!

I have a SimpleHuman sensor mirror. I purchased it directly from their website. It worked well for a few months, then stopped charging correctly using their charger. I submitted a help ticket and they sent me the canned response - enter SN... I purchased it from them! when i submitted the ticket I entered the information. They asked me for a video of the issue. Their website does not accept videos of a size I can upload - even when I lower the resolution and cut down duration of videos on my phone. Their help desk is awful and I will NEVER purchase a sensor mirror for them again!
For €350.00 I bought a bin for the kitchen with sensor und voicecontrol. The voice never worked. Now after just 5 years is the sensor not working anymore. No service, no repair, just buy a new bin. That was the advice from SH. Well, I have to buy a new bin but never ever a SH one.
Don’t fall for their 10 years warranty. Especially their “steel or brushed” finish. They rust from the inside and the clear coat will peel in less than 1 year. My garage bin experienced that issue and they denied any warranty replacement even though I told them this is QC issue. They kept sending me the same text book response “it’s normal for it to rust, discoloring and peel”. It’s so pathetic if they consider this to be normal for such “premium brand for premium price”. They know their products have this issue so they baked it into their warranty T&C to deny any claims related to it. I had the intention to purchase another bin but because of this experience, I did not purchase another bin.You are better off getting an off brand for a lot cheaper. I do not recommend this brand, not for this price and service.
Purchased four touchless soap dispensers. After four years, two no longer hold a charge and are useless. For the price paid, definitely not worth buying and a total waste of money. I do not recommend.
I have bought many products through the years. One in particular was a dishrack with a plastic part that broke. It has since been discontinued. I wrote customer service. They told me it was out of warranty. The website says, "We use the best materials and solid engineering so our products will last in tough environments like your home — for years. We stand by our products. If something goes wrong, we do our best to help solve the problem." Obviously not true, as my email was first answered by A.I. 3 days later, I got another response saying the product was no longer covered. Even though I had purchased 3 of them. The least they could have done is provide a substantial discount for a future purchase. Instead, they offered nothing. I will never buy from them again.
Not happy with this company. I purchase a $110 black stainless dish rack. Within a few months the black color started peeling off. I submitted a warranty claim only to be denied stating that "normal wear and tear" is not covered. How is peeling PAINT on a $110 dish rack in just two months considered "normal wear and tear"? Not in my world.....nor will there be anymore Simple Human purchases in my world!
Have 2 simple human soap dispensers. Don't buy their product. The charging cable crapped out, BOTH of them. I requested to purchase a replacement and they don't sell them. I said it's fine that it's not under warranty, I'll pay! But nope. My soap dispensers are effectively paper weights.Wasteful product!! No replacement cords.
by far the worst customer experience, product are very pricy and awful quality, failing numerous times inside or outside the warranty, now my sensor pump have failed again after warranty (it was already a warranty replacement...) and the customer service is telling me stay aware of our new discount to buy a new one this is a complete joke, stay away from this company at all cost
Just trying to shop the website which doesn’t work on iPad and the customer support form requires personal info including phone number for a mere inquiry. Awful customer service and website. Will not purchase anything from them ever again. Do not trust.
Do not waste your money on the SimpleHuman soap sensor pump. If you do not use multiple times per day it will clog up the pump and the company does not stand by their products once the warranty runs out. Of course, I bought the $68+ matte gold sensor pump and it was in my powder room and was the least out of 4 to get used. Naturally the pump clogged and it burned out. SimpleHuman does not want to carry replacement parts because they want to suck another $68++ from you. I’m sticking to the hand soap pump which is more reliable, refillable and costs a fraction of the price. So what if I have to push the pump down, at least it will work. Oh and just try finding a phone number for customer support on their website. They don’t want to help you.
Horrible scam of a company don’t waste your money.
I accidentally dropped and cracked one of the acrylic cylinders for my three-reservoir shower dispenser. Instead of having the ‘part’ available to purchase, they are making me purchase an entirely new unit. That’s just wrong. And this is exactly how brands loose market share and fade into oblivion…
Less than a zero. They will not help you replace parts that are broken. They just want you to pay another $200-300 per garbage can. I have 5 of the newer metal cans and still have 3 of the old plastic styles as well. I have the mirror and the shower caddy’s. I will be throwing them all away and buying ANYTHING else. Hanging trash bags off a handle in my kitchen would be better than using this trash anymore. The customer service is atrocious! They literally won’t sell me the part o need and won’t help me without tracking my purchases from 5yrs ago. I’m sorry, but who keeps receipts from years ago?! Ridiculous non existent customer service. Won’t spend another dime on any of their garbage.
Really good after sale support. Got my cordless cosmetic mirror 8 months ago and had charging issue. I called their support and they sent me a new replacement on 2nd day delivery! Very happy about the service.
I bought two automatic soap dispensers (each 2 years apart) and they both broke... didn't even last two years! In both cases, it is the non-field replecable battery that died (bad design... considering the device cost 70$ each, the cost of ownership is about 45$ per year without the soap refill + e-Waste).Contacted customer service, complete loss of time. In the very end, they proposed a discount so I can buy the same device again for it to fail within 1.5 year. After two shots and the complete careless attitude of the company, I had to switch to a different device which work amazingly since!SimpleHuman is amazing in the smoke screen/marketing area, making very beautiful products, but with really bad design and engineering under the hood. Stay away if you care about your wallet. Thank you for your time.
Bought two sensor soap dispensers from them and both failed within a few months. Also bought a compost caddy and it came through clearly used but they refuse to allow returns. Absolutely disgusting company - avoid at all costs.
I had a defective mirror or, at least a defective battery as our mirror, while 2 years old, failed to charge. Simplehuman customer service was responsive and ultimately replaced the product. Good service on a two year old product.
I have purchased the soap dispenser approximately 4 times
bought trash bags at Amazon for one of their trash cans...too small...ordered directly from them...too small...just vspent 80 minutes "chatting" with their AI...so useless...asked for pictures...I sent them...they replied that it's not enough information...in fact they said to return their bags at my expense and they'll give me 15% off another purchase...they could care less about helping a customer with a problem they created
