This could be a long story but……We left our Boo for 5 hours in good faith. We called to pick her early she said she was out to lunch and would be back 30 minutes. She did come right back and we got Boo. She had a couple of dogs thereWas Boo okay with being there without a human thereShe only had a couple of dogs but when we got back there many more dogs. We were very angry about that. She she got back she knew we were unhappy but tipped her and left. We did not notify Rover so now you know. We put an angry review of her. She wrote after that and lied about every point.

Rover makes finding a trusted and reliable pet sitter for our Chihuahua so easy and painless. The reviews, the payment methods, the ability to send and receive messages with sitters, the Rover phone numbers provided for pet owners and sitters to contact each other with - everything is very well thought-out and works wonderfully. We found our now-regular sitter through this site, and recently booked one in a different city we were visiting with our pup.

Rover was a VERY helpful service. My husband has ALS, and I needed a break from caring for my pug so that I could care for my husband, and also to clean the house. I am a full-time teacher, with a side tutoring job so I'm extremely busy. I highly recommend Rover in general. More specifically, my dog sitter was so personable and professional. Her commitment to caring for people's dogs was so touching; she went above and beyond. I would totally use her services again.

I feel so fortunate I found Sarah. She gives my pups everything I wished for in doggy daycare. My dogs are barking and wagging tails even before we get to her house to drop them off.. They love it there and have such fun in her big back yard. She sends a picture of her walking the pups every day. Iam more than satisfied with the care she gives my dogs.

Rover provided an easy solution to finding a sitter for our dog that met our needs. I had several choices of potential sitters and was very happy with the one we decided on. I would recommend this service to anyone who needed care for their pet. Prices were reasonable and communication was excellent.

Too many billing errors and overcharges
The pet sitter was excellent but a week after returning I’m still fighting to get the incorrect charges straightened out. First the original charge was billed three times. I had to contact them to correct it. Because we had to extend the stay one extra night, they added another day charge($83.75), which was fine and expected. But then they added a charge of $291 for the extended stay and I’ve since received two threatening letters telling me I still owe for the extra day. The amount of work it’s taken to get the bill corrected has been frustrating and infuriating. Such a shame because the sitter was so great.

My dog sitter was difficult to deal with because:My dog pooped on the floor. She thought I knew this would happen before hand and I needed to pay her for picking it up, which I had no problem with paying for.. However, she also came to the conclusion that my dogs were not being properly care for while I was on cruise. She came in one hour daily and my friend that works til 4 every day came in also for a while to meet my dogs needs. She used condescending words and was no longer friendly or polite to me.I made complaints about these things Along with the fact that the posted photo on Rover.com WAS NOT HER! I have no idea who this lady really was that was coming into my home every day while on 7 day cruise???Rover.com investigated all these issues BUT did not let me know their findings so farNO MORE MIKAYLA FOR ME OR MY PUPS!

Your business does not provide the best experience for the ones who pay! I have had numerous sitters cancel on me last minute because they find jobs and decide not to dog sit, not because they don’t want to dog sit for me but because they just took the job to get money. They should be liable for the cost of canceling too early because that causes problems for the people who needed the sitter in the first place and to find. Replacement last minute. I have not been able to complain about these sitters because rover does not have a good customer service side experience for the customer to communicate these issues.

Critical for travelers
We've used this service for years now. We travel frequently, and often for a couple weeks or more at a time. Having easy access to schedule a nearby caretaker for our cats has been absolutely critical.Using Rover, we've established a few long-term relationships with people that know our setup and our pets.The scheduling and payment setup is quite well-done. Some bits are more helpful than others.* I find the need to set an timeframe for drop-ins a bit clunky because I genuinely don't care when they stop by, so I set an arbitrary time and tell the sitter to come over whenever works for them.* The per pet fee can escalate quickly and feels like a carryover from the demands of a multi-dog setup. The added work from 1 cat to 3 cats is effectively zero. The price can be more than double depending on sitter settings, but it's thankfully easy to see sitter fees and find the right match for you and the sitter.
