Joke of a Company Now

I want to start off by saying, I am a loyal customer to Reef. I have bought sandals and attire from them for over 20 years. Never once have I returned or complained about an item. A week ago I placed an order for two new pairs of sandals and a tank top. When I received my order I noticed that the tank top I received was not the one I ordered. I immediately reached out to customer service with a screenshot of my order number, what I ordered, and a current time stamped photo of the item that I received instead. I assumed, like any good customer service and business, they would tell me to keep the wrong shirt and that they would resend me the correct one. I was so wrong. Instead, they told me they would NOT send me the correct item that I ordered until I went out of my way to the local UPS store, which is over 15 minutes away, bought a new shipping parcel to put the wrong item that THEY sent me, and then send it back to them. For my troubles, they offered me a 20% off coupon. What a joke. A coupon? I’ll never be shopping there again after all this. I am a very reasonable person. If this was an item I ordered and simply did not like or whatever, I agree it is my responsibility to return the item before receiving any kind of exchange our money back. However, this was not my fault. They sent ME the wrong item. They even acknowledged that fact. Get this, when I go to their website to leave feedback on each item because I want to let other consumers know that this company is a literal joke there is no way for me to leave a review. Why is that? It is so shady and so trashy. They will never receive another dollar for me ever again. You’re better off going with FloJos, Sanuk, Rainbow, or even Birkenstocks. I hope this reaches the right crowd and that this company receives the dip in sales they deserve!

Disappointed that there is no way to edit your order once placed.

Disappointed that there is no way to edit the order once placed. My order defaulted to a wrong delivery address which I noticed immediately after the button was pushed. But there was no way to fix it. I emailed them immediately but they said there was no way to wait an order once placed.

One day on the beach in Cancun and these Reef sandals were destroyed by playing in the sand with my kids. ONE DAY !!! Customer service refused to helpIf a beach sandal can’t survive a single day at the beach, that says everything about the quality.Buy accordingly.

I miss the quality Reef sandals had for decades

I've been wearing Reef sandals since the 90s and I always have at least one pair of the Sandy style at all times. The quality has seriously gone down hill. One pair would last me years (maybe that's the point of downgrading the quality?) There was a time I'd put on a new pair and the arch support and comfort would make me realize how worn out my old pair had gotten. Not anymore. New pairs are hard as a rock with almost no arch support. And the sizing has completely changed. I have always worn a size 8. I just held up my new size 8 to my old one and it's at least a half size shorter. Luckily I wear a 7.5 so these will at least fit. These will be my last pair of Reef. These are in no way worth $45. I'll be trying out Teva or another brand that makes similar sandals. I'm very disappointed I have to do this, I have loved these sandals since I discovered them as a teen in the 90s. I've seen other people complain about this same issue for awhile now, but was hoping they were exaggerating. They are not, and it shows how the company feels about it's loyal buyers that they haven't addressed these issues.Do better Reef. Maybe I'm returning my new pair, maybe I'll try again in a few years.

Address correction requested immediately, but no assistance provided

I want to share this experience fairly and accurately. The shipping address on my order was automatically populated from the Shop App, which still contained my previous address due to a recent move. I noticed this immediately after placing the order and contacted customer support immediately (same day) to request a correction—well before the order shipped. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response to my email, and when I reached out via live chat (same day), I was told that the address could not be changed. I understand that address changes can be sensitive once orders are in process. However, given how quickly I reached out, the lack of responsiveness and unwillingness to offer any solution (such as an address update, order cancellation, or reshipment option) was disappointing. I’m sharing this feedback in hopes it helps improve responsiveness and flexibility for customers who notify the company immediately when an issue is identified.

Best Sandals ever

First and foremost, I love these sandals. I currently own 3 pairs and plan on ordering another. I've also recommended to multiple friends because I'm not a gatekeeper. They are ridiculously comfortable, waterproof and tough enough for everything I've put them through. I've worn to the beach, long walks and even some challenging hikes because I like to test fate. I've worn casually and dressed up because I like to be a trend setter. These sandals do not disappoint and when the salsa limited editions restock, those will be dancing their way into my cart. Trust this stranger!

Rude customer service

Tried to return a clothing item - still had all tags attached and had never been worn- but I was one day past the return deadline. ( I had ordered 5 pairs of shoes and a dress mind you ) I explained that I had been really sick with the flu and could not get out of bed for 5 days and they refused. I actually just wanted to exchange for a smaller size. The customer service is beyond rude. I will NEVER EVER buy anything from reef again.

Bad Customer Support

I used to buy from them but recently there was an error with an order I placed. I tried to reach out within 15 minutes of placing the order. Customer service number was just a recording and told you to leave a message. I tried the email route and did get a reply hours later telling me there was nothing they could do. No one ever called me back from the message I left. I tried reaching out to the shipping company but didn't have any luck there. So there's a pair of shoes I'll never get. Buy from a company that has actual Customer service.

I use to get all my flip flops ther as I have about 10- pair I went shopping at reefs for a new pair found only two. Most aren’t made with leather and the are hard where did the cushion go? I don’t like the change at all! Wish you would make some for people with back problems as the hard ones look like old tires!

Reef Doesn’t Stand Behind Their ProductsI’ve been a loyal Reef customer for years and have owned more pairs of their flip-flops than I can count. Unfortunately, the pair I bought just a week ago caused a painful cut on my foot where the material rubbed abnormally. Clearly a defective pair.When I contacted Reef, they refused to replace them and instead offered me $10 off another pair—for sandals that are only a week old. That’s not customer service; that’s brushing off loyal customers.Reef used to stand for quality and reliability, but this experience shows how far the company’s standards have slipped. I’ll be throwing these $60 flip-flops away and switching brands. A company that won’t stand behind its products doesn’t deserve long-term customers.

Swellsole Neptune Shoe is a flimsy, not worth it model. Tried to return it and their customer service is anything but friendly. Reef used to be in business to retain loyalty. Apparently lost now.

Shipment arrived smashed open with a hole in the side and no packing paperwork, due to the hole. Not a worthwhile response to be seen from the company, and not a company worth supporting in my experience.

Life expectancy 2 months

Bought a pair of sandals and two months later they are not holding up well. I emailed regarding the leather falling off the front strap and was told it's normal wear and tear. After 2 months. Co sidering the price they should be made better. I was offered a 20% off coupon to spend more money on shoes that don't hold up longer than 2 months. No thanks!

We went to i-reef today for the first time and what can I say 10/10...the staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable, the shop is clean tidy spacious ..they have information on every fish/coral in the shop and you can email yourself the info you need at a touch of a button , what a great feature that is ... we got offered a hot drink as soon as we walked in.ste is extremely knowledgeable and katie thank you for the info on my sea horses great help .. we was lucky enough to meet one of the owners who was nothing but lovely and is going out of his way to help us with our tank when we move house , thankyou this place will absolutely be our go to in the future , emma &daz

Good shoes. Poor business.

I love the shoes I got. I had to add a hole to the strap as they were quite tight around the ankle but no problem! What I didn’t like was that I placed an order using a coupon code. The way cancelled the order and said they were sold out. I reordered immediately as the size was still shown on. Of course, I couldn’t use the coupon at this point as it was invalidated after first order. No shock - the order went through. So they cancelled me when I had a coupon. Then allowed me to purchase at full price. Seems quite dishonest

I bought a pair of clogs @ 95- dollars…

I bought a pair of clogs @ 95- dollars in a size 6! Well they were way too loose as I could walk out of them.. So I called Reef as I needed to return them not exchange them going smaller was going to make them fit me any tighter. So I have no idea why the guy I spoke to lied and said I want a size 5- as when he mentioned I specifically told him NO!! My in home nurse heard me talking to this liar. 🤥 So I called them back and got this very rude lady I told her exactly what I said, but she basically called my a liar! Another co. Treating me like crap all due to her reading what the liar wrote down! I told her my nurse heard me say no! But I don’t care anymore they want me to go through the hassle of printing out a label, I have no printer, why should I fix their screw up! Called my bank and disputed the charge! If co. Keep making mistakes and doing nothing to make it right I will never shop w/ them again! I’m sick of it all. You screwed me this is what you get Karen Rouchon

Never Delivered, Never Refunded

Ordered a pair of shoes for delivery via standard mailing, which ended up being USPS. Input the correct address, one that USPS delivers to weekly. Received an email saying to expect it May 9th and a second update with a time window on May 9th. Package never arrives. No further information provided. I had to call USPS and they informed me it was being shipped back to origin. Reef never refunded me, never followed up re resending, never sent an email to confirm their merchandise was received, nor for a customer review. When I finally found the time to call Reef's customer service number, I waited to speak with a rep who was dismissive and unsympathetic. Her only answer was "we don't have an automated system". The shoe I ordered was resold to someone else. I received no apology, no accountability for Reef's failure to uphold their end of the bargain, nor acknowledgement that they have zero interest in refunding you unless you chase them down. Terrible customer service. Incredibly disappointed in their business model and customer service. Also, very suspicious that they don't have reviews on their own website nor anywhere else besides here.

My wife and I spent $330 on Reef’s…

My wife and I spent $330 on Reef’s website during the Memorial Day sale. A week passes and my wife asks where the shoes are as we have a trip coming up. Checking the shipping details from “Delivery Direct,” a shipping company known for losing orders, I see my order has been at the airport nearby for 6 days. I first tried to call Reef, but never got to talk to a person—the same 10 second loop of hold music will haunt my nightmares after hearing it for god knows how long. After that, I’ve sent multiple emails to both Reef and Delivery Direct. Almost a week later and neither company has responded. Seriously…a week of being ignored when they happily have $330 of my money. Luckily for me, Amex doesn’t play those games and has already credited my account. I’ll never buy from Reef again. They might have saved a penny by using a third rate shipping company, but have lost a dollar in return. FAFO Reef.
