My Mom gifted me with 2 sets of Mikasa…

My Mom gifted me with 2 sets of Mikasa Tivoli Garden dinnerware, expecting high quality for the price she paid. After only a few months of normal use, several pieces developed cracks. Customer service offered a 30% discount instead of replacing the defective items. For such an expensive brand, I expected much better quality and support.

They don't send return labels and ask you to pay $50+ return shipping out of pocket

Mikasa's return policy states "No Hassle Return Policy. If you don't like it or want it, we'll take it back, no questions asked!" They state the customer is responsible for return shipping. What they don't say is that they don't offer any type of return label or a consistent return fee, unlike other companies. They ask you to write a label and find your own shipping. Mine was going to be $50+ to return $65 worth of low-quality merchandise. I will never shop here again.

Mikasa warranty is a scam…

We received a gift for our anniversary on 8/25. The product says dishwasher safe on the bottom of the dishes. After a few washes the dishes lost their luster and developed a haze on them. Also 2 items have chipped. Mikasa claims to have a lifetime chip warranty and their claim that these dishes can withstand washing in a dishwasher are false. They request so much information it make the warranty useless. I have furnished everything but the receipt. Like I said I will not ask the people who gave the gift for a receipt. How embarrassing. So if you buy from Mikasa just know their warranty is a total lie . BEWARE. Buy from a company that stands behind their products. Beware of Lifetime Brands

Poor quality product, terrible customer service

I ordered two sets of 16 piece dinnerware. At least one of the pieces arrived with stains on the outside. I tried to wash them off but they won't budge. I immediately called Mikasa. They wanted wanted pictures, which I sent. Now they are insisting on replacing the damaged items instead of letting me return the order. If the glaze is so awful out of the box that there are already permanent stains on the pieces, I certainly don't want to pay $200 for poorly made dishes. They finally agreed to accept the return but it's been over a month and I still haven't gotten a refund.

Stanton Bone China is Fading

I have purchased multiple pieces from the Stanton line of their dishware. After less than two years, I have noticed that the finish is fading on all of the dishware that I use frequently. This is unacceptable, as this is bone china and I have invested in over 100+ pieces from this line. I also just advised my parents to buy these dishes and theirs are fading in less than 6 months of using these items. When I contacted Mikasa customer service to ask why this is happening, they stated that they do not have a warranty, and that I could repurchase the damaged dishes at a 30% discount (This is absolutely unacceptable and terrible for the customer). Possibly the worst part is they were unable to explain why the finish was coming off or how to prevent it. Needless to say, I do not recommend purchasing from Mikasa dishware as clearly the quality is sub-par!
