Unresponsive and Unprofessional. Beware
I instructed this firm on an off-plan property transaction and paid significant legal fees. After the project was delayed and the long-stop date passed, I emailed on again and again requesting urgent advice on my contractual position and the status of my deposit. I received no meaningful reply and trying to chase them within the last 10 weeks. This matter is time-sensitive and financially significant, yet communication has been poor, and I have been left without basic answers. If you value responsiveness and clear advice, I suggest choosing another firm.

Joanne Fernandes - avoid, unprofessional
Would be Zero stars if I could - clients name was spelt wrong on multiple documents, it has been 2 weeks get a response on 4 queries and were still waiting. Joanne Fernandes has never answer the phone to me to help progression or replied to one of my emails. Promised a number of call backs and responses and nothing. Its been around 5 months and they have still not exchanged - by far the worst solicitor I've worked with in 13 years, I feel so sorry for my client as they want a new solicitor now they are very upset and they might loose their reservation fee as we cant get a response from thier solciitor.

MOST NON-RESPONSIVE LEGAL TEAM
Alesco team introduced this legal team to us. This legal team is the most non-responsive team that I have ever come across. Obviously, they will charge their fees first and if you ever want anything explained, you cant find them. This legal team has left us in an extremely difficult situation and demand more money to give us any advice. Since April, I have tried contacting them via mail or phone but it has been 4 months and still waiting for a response. Guys please never use this company even if they offer you their services free, don't get into their trap. @Alesco-your reputation is also at stake if you work with this legal team and leave your customers in extremely difficult situation. If I could give them even less than 1 star, I would.

Avoid any services offered by LCL Solicitors.A solicitor from LCL Solicitors put me along with other 48 buyers in to a property fraud led by property agent Aspen Woolf and developer company Firestone Development. LCL never informed and consulted me as an overseas investor about UK regulations that may potentially work against me and protect developer if company goes into insolvency process to which it is going now. As a result I'm in a process to loose my investment and LCL doesn't even care about this consequence that they literally cooked. Avoid LCL for any services.

I used this law firm to buy a property built by the developer Daniel Johns Ltd. Despite SRA notices about unregulated investment schemes (which involve things like guaranteed rent and buy back which are "too good to be true") LCL failed to check about the integrity of the sellers (history of scams and lawsuits) and if the property actually existed, even the floorplan wasn't real.LCL failed to warn me and others that we were potentially getting into a scam. Surprise surprise that it turned out me and others fell victims of a scam. Several buyers have issued negligence claims against this firm. I'm sure many others will do so in the future.
